I loved what Steve Smith had to say about him. " If I lined up in the slot, he lined up in the slot. If I lined up as a running back, he lined up as a linebacker. If I parked my car in the parking lot, he was the parking attendant. Champ Bailey lined up everywhere.”
Champ came into the league in 1999. Darrell Green had been with the Redskins his entire career before calling it quits after the 2002 season. Deion joined Green and Bailey for one season in 2000 and then retired in 2001. Deion came out of retirement to play for the Ravens in 2004 and 2005 but then called it quits for good shortly after the 05 season
It's probably a good thing for everyone else that Deion was hurt most of his time on the Redskins. With Champ, Deion, or Green on opposite sides of the field where are you supposed to throw?
Kyle Adrien they were still better than about 90 percent of the league. Those guys may have lost a step, but Green and Deion were always a step or two faster than everyone else for the majority of their career. Even if they lost a little speed along the way, they had plenty of speed left in the tank!
average joe beer show not sure your comparing bailey to Asante with your comment but Bailey is wayyyy better. Longer prime and wayy better peak. Asante was never considered the best corner during his time while bailey was the best corner for a good period of his career.
Yea, but we got the 2nd best RB in franchise history from the trade. Its a very 50/50 trade. Both players went on to have great careers after the trade.
Redskinsman10 Thas true but y’all coulda kept a hall of famer. Idk if keeping him would be the best move for the team but I would keep one of the best corners
Yes sir he is one of the best corners to ever do it he is in my top 5. And he is a champ 🏆 played the game with such passion, and the way its supposed to be played
He had a presence of mind on the field like no one i ever saw play football. He always knew where the ball was and he always got his hans on it. The trade for Portis was awesome for denver. He easily could have been a hall of fame reciever.
Champ was a superstar. He played at an extremely high level for a long time. And it's true - he was one of the best tackling cornerbacks I have ever seen.
Growing up in the dc area playing corner as a kid he was my hero. When he went to Denver I became a broncos fan and never looked back lol. The dude deserved a ring but it makes no difference on his accomplishments and legend
Best Bronco between Elway and Manning and it is not even close. Pretty much single-handedly kept us relevant during that time. The playoff win over the back-to-back super bowl chamption Patriots in 2005 was all thanks to him. Wish he could have gotten a ring.
Glad to see Champ Bailey highlights. A great trade for the Broncos as that was during a time when Shanahan's zone blocking scheme was easily producing 1,000 yard rushers. As a result, trading Clinton Portis for Champ Bailey and a 2nd-round pick (Tatum Bell) was a great deal for Denver.
If Champ wasn’t pickin it off, Lynch was makin the receiver pay. Having those two dudes on the same side of the field, even with Lynch down in the box half the time, was a complete fuckin nightmare. Loved it
I know this is a Champ Bailey highlights, but Orlando Pace catching him at 2:12 was just awesome. I was watching this live and it was just amazing how athletic the 325 lbs OT was.
There haven't been a whole lot guys who could just go out there and you knew their side of the field was taken care of. Dude practically lived in the Pro Bowl for a reason. Plus, I bet Jake Plummer was glad they were on the same team so Champ wouldn't victimize him.
Swear this channel never disappoints! If you are sticking on doing CB’s how about peanut tillman, ronde or troy vincent. Love this channel if you would want more suggestion for a specific group I would love to give you ideas
It’s a damn shame he couldn’t hold on for a couple more years to be a part of our 2015 champion team. Of all people to have played in the league, and not gotten a ring he’s the player other than Marino that deserved it most.
As a Broncos fan with my last name, his jersey was my favorite to wear, and was my undisputed favorite player until Von Miller showed up. Thanks for the incredible memories Champ, see you in Canton!
rod woodson highlights? he has more picks than all my favorite players but ive never seen him play lol love the channel by the way , yall have the best stuff
I remember playing madden on ps2 growing up and you could not throw to his side never he would pick it everytime or find a way to force a turnover...🐐💯
3:32 Champ is NOT just a best tackling CB. He was great at EVERYTHING. Coverage, Reading offensive plays and call, Adjustment for the deflecting and interception, Great athleticism, rarely panicking even when he got beat up by receiver and also great tackling. Champ is the real deal and the greatest CB right next to Deion Sanders and Rod Woodson. He is better than Charles Woodson and Darrelle Revis no doubt.
As a Auburn fan even though I hate Georgia i respect champ Bailey where hes a derek jeter type superstar on the Level of impossible not to respect this guy but him, deion , Charles woodson and Darrell green are the top 5 exciting and best in my 31 years of life
I loved what Steve Smith had to say about him. " If I lined up in the slot, he lined up in the slot. If I lined up as a running back, he lined up as a linebacker. If I parked my car in the parking lot, he was the parking attendant. Champ Bailey lined up everywhere.”
I can't even find that interview nowhere no more
🤔🤔 Was this the same interview where Steve Smith said that Champ Bailry baptized him?
😂😂😂😂😂
if i pooped, champ bailey was the toilet seat
@@Blah-i7nRELAX 🤣🤣
He's the reason 24 is my favorite number. He is my favorite Bronco of all time.
SAME
As someone who played WR his whole life I still wore 24 for my whole football career
Same
Fr hands down best 24 of all time
Mine too
Crazy how Champ, Deion Sanders and Darrell Green all played together at one point 😳
NFL Matchup Highlights. When?
Champ came into the league in 1999. Darrell Green had been with the Redskins his entire career before calling it quits after the 2002 season. Deion joined Green and Bailey for one season in 2000 and then retired in 2001. Deion came out of retirement to play for the Ravens in 2004 and 2005 but then called it quits for good shortly after the 05 season
2 out of 3 were washed up
It's probably a good thing for everyone else that Deion was hurt most of his time on the Redskins. With Champ, Deion, or Green on opposite sides of the field where are you supposed to throw?

Best corner I’ve watched.
I agree the most natural I’ll favor him over a lot of corners
Big Facts G 💯
Over asante samuel who had 4 less years with 1 less int
average joe beer show yes over Asante my nigga
average joe beer show not sure your comparing bailey to Asante with your comment but Bailey is wayyyy better. Longer prime and wayy better peak. Asante was never considered the best corner during his time while bailey was the best corner for a good period of his career.
Wow I never knew Champ lined up at WR a few times nice
He was a QB and DB in high school
For Palaven so what it’s still surprising to see if you never knew and also most NFL players played whatever they wanted in HS
just like Deion
He played WR at UGA, he was just such a freak you could do it. 6 '0 190 lbs, 4.28 40, 37 inch vertical..dude was a cheat code basically.
What's just crazy is that his _interceptions_ are better highlight reel amazements than some Hall of Fame receivers' RECEPTIONS !! That is just crazy!
4:15 Need I say more?
REDSKINS COULD OF HAD CHAMP BAILEY AND SEAN TAYLOR IN THE SECONDARY
redskins being the redskins
Yea, but we got the 2nd best RB in franchise history from the trade. Its a very 50/50 trade. Both players went on to have great careers after the trade.
@@redskinsman10 L yall still lost cause champ a first ballot HOFer

Legend. Half of. These highlights champs running the route for the receiver
Champ is so smooth on those picks (when he was actually on defense) he looks like the receiver.
80% of the world is covered by water, the rest, Champ Bailey.
Great players all have a trademark. His was timed leaps.
Lowkey just came here because I found out this my cousin
Facts
That's Ed Reed fam. Chill.
💯💯💯
This dude had a season of 10 ints, 85 tkls, 21 passes defended. Those are stunning numbers....
Robbed of DPOY
Champ was different 🔥🔥🔥💪🏾
Like woodson and deion with offense and defense and college legacy and impact
These guys that sign massive contracts are rarely worth it, champ was a friggan nightmare worth every penny
He wasn’t a SB Champ, But Champ Bailey was always a disrupter at CB. One of the all-time Greats
Champ was one of those players who undisputedly deserved a SB ring
War eagle but respect
Dude got robbed a Super Bowl he played his ass off but his whole team didn’t show up just he did so of course he doesn’t have a ring
Finally my guy is getting love
Fr fr 💯

Underrated all time doesn’t get enough love as one of the best ever
Neither does ty law , and I'm not Pat's fan
eric sigersmith he's better than law. He's was the best of his era

Love the highlights! Chad Johnson highlights plz?
Champ was a superstar. He played at an extremely high level for a long time. And it's true - he was one of the best tackling cornerbacks I have ever seen.
Loving these constant legend highlights
I miss having Bailey, my favorite player easily
If Dawkins and Bailey were in their prime when they played together...
Man, that would have been something to see...
If primetime Darell green and champ bailey where in there prime while together
@@KoltonReitz bro who gone catch a pass on them
You mean if Atwater and champ played in their prime ooooweeeeee
Don't forget Lynch!

Him and fred smoot were the bright spots on those crappy spurrier teams lol besides lavar arrington
My favorite
1:35 is insane, the man picks it off with one hand while tackling the WR with the other.
"Crazy! Are y'all crazy!?" 4:45 pretty much sums it up! #goat
I love me some champ Bailey 🏆
Best Bronco between Elway and Manning and it is not even close. Pretty much single-handedly kept us relevant during that time. The playoff win over the back-to-back super bowl chamption Patriots in 2005 was all thanks to him. Wish he could have gotten a ring.

90s Sports Nostalgia still to me at least, the most memorable trade in NFL history.

Champ Bailey was Jake the snake Plummer best WR🤣🤣🤣
This guy is SMART
Thanks champ Bailey for all your hard work and efforts while you were a bronco, you still my favorite corner till this day!!💯💯
It's funny watching him in Washington. After that early part of his career people were much more careful when throwing his way.
Favorite corner of all time. Never flashy or too loud. Just went out and played the game on an elite level at his position
Champ Bailey and Darrelle Revis were the two best cornerbacks I ever saw growing up.
Charles Woodson of the Raiders?
@@kainoakanoemost definitely him too
The greatest. 💯

His catch was ridiculous
That 2006 season by Champ Bailey was legendary was thrown at 34 times and only gave up 4 catches all season no tds allowed
it's crazy how he looks like the receiver most of the time.
Great name , great player
No one plays like this dude. Legend!
Dudes vertical leap was insane
A true corner who did it all

He played wr and cb in college so im not surprised at sum of those int's
He and his brother (BOSS BAILEY) had 2 of the greatest First Names in history.
Idk how I didn’t know champ played WR too. He was such a baller. All time Bronco
Great content you guys are the best
The early broncos years he was so good he basically ran the routes better then the receivers
THE CHAMP IS HERE
1 of the best
Champ Bailey is the best Cornerback Ever!
His 2006 season was unbelievable. 10 picks, 21 passes defended, and 4 catches allowed. ZERO touchdowns allowed, all year
Bailey the goat
Definition of a Corner who can play like a receiver
The best corner in the NFL for years instantly becomes a top corner of all time.
1:32 even when you think your receiver has it...it teleports to Champ's hands. Just forget his side of the field exists.
Champ was awesome and a damn good dawg!
Best corner of his generation!
I didn't know Champ played for the Redskins
The BEST Corner of the 2000s decade
I love your hardwork into making these, after Chad Johnson, potentially, can you do LT( from the chargers)
Gotta say.. Imma green bay fan... But champ is one of the best comers of all time... Respect!
