I love this infomercial! This is the right step in the right direction for creating a better planet.
This video also shows how denigrating EU-laws are towards other continents. We must realize that the EU isn't superior when it comes to food safety, and that non-EU airlines should be treated with equal respect and given an equal opportunity to prevent food waste on this scale.

You need to fly less. That will make a far larger difference to the enormous impact that KLM currently has on the planet then fussing with a bit of food waste. Your aircraft produce about half a ton of co2 per passenger on a transatlantic flight. Vastly more than the coffee grounds per passenger!
So stop greenwashing and do something real: fly less. The fewer flights, the lower the emissions. And you will also have fewer coffee grounds to deal with, not that that was ever very important in the first place.
