Wow !! 6030 & 7520 in the same video…. AWESOME !!
My Grandfather had one of these things and used it for over 30 years plowing and planting 16 acres of land every year. He sold it to a friend of his 5 years ago. Great condition throughout all its work.
I remember the first time I saw a 7520 4wd in the early/mid 70's. Still as impressed today.
You wouldn't be if you ever drove one
Great machine no but my dads father purchased one new and it was overall a solid and dependable machine he still had it
The 7520 is one of my favorite tractor. I always considered it looks timeless
Classic 70s beast - love that era styling. Unusual (to me) to see JD 6030s without a cab.
I came home from a couple college classes and started our 7520 to let it warm up. Then I went into the house to change into work clothes. Turned on the TV and it was 9-11. Left for class the next day and realized it sat idling all day & night.
Hola, lo tienes para la venta? Quiero comprarlo para un museo
Such a pretty lookin 7520
I drove one when I was 9yrs old,has been a favourite one's, along with the 5020,D17,D19 and D21
Man that is some hard dry looking dirt. Great shots of some great tractors.
Looks great! At least he didn't put a chrome stack on it.
I was able to ride in a brand new 7520 when I was a kid in 1972, then many years later I was able to drive a friend of mine’s low hour, beautiful 7520. A smooth, quiet and strong tractor! I also loved my 4620 John Deere that I used on my farm for years
Very cool. It would have been very cool see a 7520 brand new.
They did a pretty good job restoring the old beast. Good information as always. Stay safe.
Great video! Nothing runs like a Deere! Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful, ever implement did a great job to work that field, love the the 7520
Wow was it ever dry! Looked like he was rolling rocks & stones. Great vid BTP.
Great classic 👍
The clod between the duals is driving me nuts!!!🤯
Hahaha me too
Real cracking Deere. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for watching.
Sweet 🚜! Dont see many like this anymore!
Great video!! The old 20 series are all awesome! ……..I’d like to see one of them pull 6 bottoms through Tennessee red clay……Lol!!!
I’m not a Deere guy but that’s an impressive looking tractor. Thanks for the video
Like that era of John Deere tractors best. That pipe looks like the pipe in a culvert going under roadways, to ne. Classic Deere🚜👍
The John Deere 20 series, nothing else like it.
Great video, always liked the 7520.
Nice tractors and great works!
What a beauty,very happy owner.
👍👍
Love that tractor
Well done sod buster thanks. Sam
I farmed about 2000 seeded acres in northern alberta with a 7520 with a 25 foot deep tillage and a 41 foot field cultivator,i had a deutz dx160 for drills and spraying my 7520 had the motor updated to 619 cu in,about 270 hp
Saw that roller at the show before any of the plowing started and wondered what it's real purpose was ,thanks for the info!
It is very effective at get the soil smoothed out.
That rock jammed between the duels was causing quite a rough ride.
awesome! thanks!
The 7520 is a stand out tractor.
@@bigtractorpower - Yes absolutely, no question. I learned to drive 4WD summer fallowing with a sweep plow as a young boy, driving a John Deere 7020 and a Versatile 875, depending on which size sweep plow I was told to use. Huge huge sentimental value for me to see this video, thank you! So great. I love your channel very much, but I've never caught a sweep plow on your channel. They are virtually antiquated now because of modern herbicide chemistry and other reasons. We no longer use ours but we still kept them anyway. Do you happen to have a sweep plow vid that I haven't found? Mike Less has a couple great ones on his awesome channel, but it seems he lives in a different neck of the woods than you haha :) I think a lot of us farmer/viewers are greatly indebted to the two of you, and others, to be able to see farming practices and differences across the continent (hello from Alberta :) ). Thanks beyond words for your quality video's
That 7520 is in showroom condition B.T.P.,air conditioning is MANDATORY,I can't imagine being in the cab of that 6030-X2 in the 90 degree heat with no air moving.
Man
I’m just stating our wish I could have one of these to pack silage and haul manure but keep it clean
love them skinny tires on that JD
John deere tracteurs rustiques!💪👍
That roller is doing absolutely fuck all 😅😂 cool video non the less
The ground in that field looks about as hard as woodpecker lips.
some ladies at work look as dry as this field.
YES!!!
chunk stuck between left front duals!
Yes that happened to several tractors at the event this year.
big rock me thinks ...... nobody must have a sledge hammer that day .....very hard on tyres ......
Awesome video ! Even with heavy roller it wasn't wanting to break up that hard dirt .
Good shots!
Poor tractor😅👎
@@RJ1999x Is it because its a JD? No power? 😁😁😁😋
@@RJ1999x Have a good one RJ!👋👋👋
@@mackowen9337 it's a poorly designed guttless wonder. It was 2 John Deere 4020 bolted together with tie rods holding the back together. A transmission that was splashed oiled, so if you worked on hills the transmission would fail, requiring the whole machine to be tore down. The 531 cu in engine was gutless and had no low end torque, and to top it off it didn't have live power so it's even useless on a grain cart
@@RJ1999x Oh man. You can really see it struggling in the first part. I mean do you need that much smoke just to pull a packer?
1:04 rock on front tire going for a ride
It is a clump of dirt. Several tractors had this issue during the demonstration.
I might be wrong but are those modern rims?
Help! I am stuck in a 5 foot ditch. Clay and sand! I just wet my pants! I am late getting home! Ahhh!!!
If it's not green it's not to be seen it is what it is yall the jd man😃😁😀😉
When that tractor came out the farmers though they were in hog heaven.
i hear youre looking for ford combines to video
I'm sure i have watched this video before...... i would like to think i am a closet tractor lover.... but i think the closet is blown
They should have put a 25` disk on it and let it eat !
The rice roller was better suited to crush the clods in this dry field.
Hello everyone hiwdy
It looks lightweight
It is, it's basically 2 4020 John Deere bolted together
it shouldnt be rolling coal that hard at 00.22 seconds with a roller...the injectors are either cooked or the engine is high hours..my grandfathers 1960 8020 with a 671 Detroit wouldnt even do that...nor would his WA...
Or the owner was making it roll coal to show off a bit. I liked seeing it. 😁
Is the rice roller weighted with water?
JIM
Doesn't look like it. Bouncing too much.
Looks like they need to be running something else in front of this
Fun fact these old dogs did not have live pto power
I believe you are incorrect. Specs say electro-hydraulic clutch pto 540/1000 rpm.
Dwight L ask someone who has ran one I am not 100% but we were going to buy one many years ago and it did not that is why we didn’t buy it we bought an 8430 instead.
They did not have live PTO
@@Nick-tz2vl I really find that hard to believe. Was it a factory option?
Believe me or not, but its the truth. Soon as you push in the clutch, pto stops spinning. From what I heard because it was a new design they didnt know how to incorporate a live pto into the new design. But yeah, they do not have live PTO
Crazy that it only weights 16,000 looks heavier
farming must consume enormous amounts of diesel fuel
