Thanks for sharing Henrik! My wife thinks I’m crazy, I spend all day plowing snow, then come in the house and sit in front of the wood stove watching other people plow snow! Haha
When I was in the service, we came across a group of Norwegian troops and we got along great. Nicest group of guys you'd ever want to meet. Jim Beam was a staple with us. In fact, the GI gas mask carry case could fit two pints just nicely. So...... we had a few belts, toasting Norway and the US, got a glimpse of some girlie magazines, and passed on the toasting marshmallows and stuff, but trading stories and what's going on back home for both of us was great. I wish I could afford taking my family to visit Norway. Great people. You know, when you get right down to it, the average joe, no matter where you/they come from, are really just down to earth guys. Oh... did I mention the girlie magazines.....
I watch all of these snow plow videos on double speed mode but you are on double speed already!!! Great job! Super fast! And I can see the road when you get done! Have you seen the video of (just moving snow?) omg!
Henrik, Very interesting video. As some else made a comment about upstate NY State, USA. Norway looks very similar to upstate central NY! That John Deere is very smooth driving. It is a hydro shift transmission. Very efficient! I am guessing that 5 inches/12.7 cm is a small amount of snow in my area. 36 inches/91.5 cm is more of a heavy snow fall here. A great video!👍👍👍

Its interesting to see how different parts of the world handle snow. Lots of different equipment. In the usa you see mostly trucks plowing the roads with the occasional grader.

The problem here is the snow sticking to the wiper. Below freezing, you could keep the windshield below freezing, too. That way, you need no wiper action. But this is some seriously wet snow.
Suggestion could you possibly move your camera to the middle over your dash so we can see both sides of tractor? That way the wiper blade all help us too and also we’d love to see more of these Snowplowing videos in the future and thanks for sharing the video with us
Many other snow plowing videos are really just pushing snow around on the ground. Usually very inefficient. That doesn't work on roads since you need to throw it far in the ditch to keep the width of the road. You hit some snow and never touch it again. Of course, you can't do this in a yard or a short driveway, but that is not what this equipment is made for. Also, this powerful tractor with that heavy-duty plow can usually go in circles on larger parking areas. That's much more efficient than pushing in lines with a truck since you don't need to reverse. Depends, of course.
Shame the Go-Pro wasn’t located to the right hand side of the cab. Would have made a much more interesting video watching the snow being flung into the ditch. Maybe next time…
Great video would have been better if we could have seen more of the snow flying but I do have a very serious question do you prefer to run that plow straight and get a better cut that way or do you turn it more to the right or a better cut down to the pavement also what gear and speed are you running
Must be nice to sit in a warm cab, then sit on old tractor with out a cab,at -15c, now here in cape Breton Island, Canada,at the price of fuels over $12 a gallon , have fun
yes it could, but it is not easy in a new tractor where mostly a glass, windows and door, a suction cup on the window will quickly loosen itself due to temperature differences and vibrations when driving.
As a young kid, I used to ride the mules, and my Grandfather had an old road grader that was pulled by horses, mules, what ever you have. It had an oak blade and a steel bar screwed to the bottom. He would run the blades, and I rode the lead mule that I loved. We cleaned out his road, and a few neighbors drives. The thing was the mules knew the road so well, they just walk the gravel road, and I never seen them go off road. It would have taken about 2 to 3 days to do what he just did in 45 minutes.

thats funny, its a being a boy thing, fascinating back then and still to this day watching the snow fly then being able to do it, its fun.
Tell your wife you’re not alone😂😂😂
Включи жене сериалы про любовь и она тебе больше не будет мешать делать твои дела😅
Тоже самое слышу 😂
Thank you for plowing our roads!
Nice video! But if you can mount the camera on the other side so we can see the snow flying away it would be great.
Nicely done, that tractor can certainly move snow quickly! Nice job.

It´s so cool to see the snow thrown out, on the right side :) about 7 minutes into the video. :)
Yes it's cool when there's a lot of snow :)

thanks
, I'm glad to hear that😊, you're welcome
that JD is a beast, great video !!
thanks :)
Good Video, i love snow plowing., but your roads are so narrow.
thanks :) yes, the roads are very narrow in Norway in general
The plow is a rad part!!
Greetings!!
Nice Video!

Yes, it is, in Norway many different machines are used, the road grader is mostly used to remove ice on the road when the ice gets too thick.

Great Video, Looks Like Upstate New York , Love The Country.
Dette er i Norland iNorge mellom Fauske og Narvik.
Nice. Smooth and quiet. For better visibility, introduce a little yellow bottle of Rain-X to your window cleaning regimen. Thanks and take care.

Belli i video .. 😊 volevo chiederti ma che tipo di telecamera usi .. ? Come si installa mi piacerebbe farlo anch'io .. 🙂

If all people who plow snow had it this easy, plowing snow would be a lot more enjoyable.

Morro å se noen som kan brøyte og ikke bare dytter snø💪🏼
Nice machine!!!
5.5 inches thought You were going to plow snow.
That looks like a lot more than 5.5 inches!
-Check out, man, how beautiful it is outside! 🤘
-Yah, there is such a thing... 😋♥
I have always been into plowing ❄️ 😉 But I HATE the wet, heavy snow. I am all about lite, fluffy ❄️.
정말 수고가많의십니다

모습이 보기좋습니다 👍👍👍🇰🇷💖
Why would you put the camera where the wiper doesn't cover?
This is because there is a handle on the side where I could mount the camera, so it stayed in place no matter how many shakes it gets.
Nothin runs like a Deere!
a Deere is a good tractor 🙂
Det är ett nöje att se goda grejer i rätta händer!!!! 💪💪💪💪💪👍🇫🇮🇸🇪🇺🇦❤️😊
tack :)
One would think there would be a remote start so that the tractor was warmed up and the cab was comfortable from the start.
Shame the Go-Pro wasn’t located to the right hand side of the cab. Would have made a much more interesting video watching the snow being flung into the ditch. Maybe next time…
You can see the damn snow being flung.
Storfjell, Lofoten ?
Ja 🙂
Mählers DPH or DPF?
What tires are you running? Goodyear R14 hybrids?
No Not Goodyear, but Nokian Hakkapeliitta tri
There is no better tire for this job than the Nokian.
Best way to plow ,better than truck
Yes. Easier to do and better visibility. I plow with JD 6100MC

Who thats a long rd to be plowed
Yes it is 😅

Я из России , у нас литр дизеля в 23 году стоит 0,6$ литр, сколько в галлонах не знаю.
Can he hit those small sticks that are by the side of the road??
that would be a bad idea. The sticks are there to mark where the road is under the snow
350k snowplow.
waste of time and fuel on 5 inchs of snow
Camera could be mounted in a better spot
yes it could, but it is not easy in a new tractor where mostly a glass, windows and door, a suction cup on the window will quickly loosen itself due to temperature differences and vibrations when driving.
Well that was fun.
Камеру выше надо сделать
👍👍👍
Only 5.5 inches? that's not much. Now at least 2 feet of snow, then we are talking snow.
That's it right there. Nice machine but 5 1/2 in is not impressive
👍🇫🇮🇸🇪🇺🇦❤️
Someone must be bored
Please invest in buying a NEW and longer windshield wiper.
Been there (in Northern Ontario, Canada), done that for 15 winters. Now I plow my own laneways with a loader bucket on my tractor.
As a young kid, I used to ride the mules, and my Grandfather had an old road grader that was pulled by horses, mules, what ever you have. It had an oak blade and a steel bar screwed to the bottom.
