  • Опубликовано: 20 июн 2017
  • Buckshot sat down with VladTV in June 2016 to speak about his working relationship with 2Pac and the climate of working with him at a time when he was at odds with most of the East Coast. As to whether or not Pac singled him out because Boot Camp Clik had a prior issue with Biggie, Buckshot says, "He didn't know. At the time there really was no beef, the beef came a little bit later when there was like no apology." Watch above.

Buckshot's flow was actually very similar to Biggie's. In 93 dude was already rhyming like Biggie did later. He had that same rhythmic sil-la-ble stretching already going on, just in a calmer manner than biggie. I can imagine Buckshot being a big influence on Biggie. Or both on each other.

One Nation came SO close to being released. I remember back in like 96 or 97 the music store Sam Goody that isn’t around anymore let me pre-order it (back in those days it wasn’t uncommon for the most highly anticipated albums to sell out on the first day of release). Then it never came out obviously. Sam Goody refunded me the pre-order fee. A lot of the One Nation tracks would later get leaked or bootlegged onto various Pac albums and mixtapes in the years after, but I’m pretty sure there’s gotta be some tracks STILL in the vaults or lost and I hope we get to hear those songs one day 🙏🏻

Warren Hunter That's a unfair statement. It's millions of people here. Millions of people here didn't turn their backs on him. Rappers and certain fans had their feelings of course. Obviously he had detractors but Tupac could still come here and sell out shows and walk the streets here and get love. Bad times in hip hop.

The Outlawz said in a Billboard interview that volume 1 of the One Nation album was going to be the first release on Tupac's Makaveli Records, and volume 2 was going to come out on the Boot Camp Clik's Duck Down Records. That would have put BCC on another level. One Nation would have been a smash. BCC would have had a lot more power within the industry.
