I read that Sam Sneed was beaten because Dre left Death Row and Sam Sneed was still working with Dre. There was a meeting about Dre leaving, Dre and Sneed were both supposed to be there but Dre didn't go to it and him or J. Flexx tried to tell Sneed not to go to it either. But Sneed went to it thinking it wasn't gonna be a big deal and they took Dre's leaving out on Sam Sneed. I think there might have been a jealousy as well, because Sam Sneed and Dre were working together a lot, Sneed was Dre's main co-producer at the time and 2pac didn't get to work with Dre much.

Heard Sam Sneed got lit up because the original version of the "U Better Recognize" video had a few too many East Coast artists in it. Dude that was Dre's right hand man back then (Bruce Williams) wrote in his book that they screened the video during a meeting at Death Row and when Kool G Rap appeared on screen, that's what triggered the beatdown. Bruce said that both he and Dre warned Sneed not to go to that meeting, and he went anyways.

ThaMizphit74 It couldn't have been "U Better Recognize" because that song was released in 94.

Yo, speak on it. It seems nobody thinks about that Pac was a young man still working out life, where he fit in, and so on. Hell if everyone just think back to dumb ass decisions you made at 20-25, then add, money, women, and fame to it. Let Pac rest in peace, he was/is a great artist with a lot of serious things to say. RIP Pac! Stay real, Kilo!

Ion needa read shit, jungle wasn’t gonna shoot no one, pac had all the outlawz there plus 50 jersey boys and suge and the death row staff, the security guards and bodyguards were there and all the outlawz homies too, Nas and jungle weren’t gonna do shit and Nas never grabbed pac by the back of his shirt and jungle wasn’t gonna shoot Pac, especially with all the ppl Pac had around him.
