OK, I have to say it again, Matt-your metal fabrication skills are brilliant! You are certainly a master! Mike, the video was great! Excellent camera action and fabulous background music! Thank you, guys! Iron Trap Garage is number one in my book!
You're always talking about your skill level but in my opinion,, I think it comes down to how much you take pride in your work. You continually show that and your work is the product of what you show. Another great job
Thank you David
Impressive!! From flat sheet stock to a compound curve blister with 2 flanges, awesome talent! Be proud of your work - very few craftsmen around who could do this. Time is the magic ingredient!
Thank you!
Just watched Puddins Fab Shop and Slick 50 making the same type of part. They are building a Model A Roadster and replacing the floors at this stage. Takes work to beat sheetmetal into bowl shapes. Good job Matt.
Hi, Matt!
I am forever in awe of your patience and metal working skills!
I am 68 (soon to be 69) and have been enamored with the "traditional" hotrods/street rods since 7th grade. (circa 1967). A car enthusiast, always, I admire the talents, knowledge and skills of people like you, Mike and Steve while knowing it is nothing I could ever achieve. I have neither the talent nor determination to create that which you guys do. As Dirty Harry once said: " A man's got to know his limitations." I know mine and I truly appreciate and admire your work and your creations. Thankyou for the voyeur's look into how you do those wonderful things you do with the early Fords' metal!
Thanks for the kind words !
All these years of watching and I just realized that Matt is a lefty!
Everyone is born right handed but only 10 percent overcome the handicap 😅
PS. Everyone in my family is left-handed
As is another very talented car guy/metal shaper/fabricator, Scott from Cold War Motors.
At this rate you'll be making mid-evil armor chest plates in no time! Nice!!
Awesome job , Matt . Maybe we should change your name , to Bam-Bam . Now that is commitment . I think you did fine . Not many people still do that kind of work . The right tools , knowing the limits of the materials used . Hell ya ! Great post ! Love this Roadster too ! Rock On , ITG !
Matt, great example of sheet metal working expertise!!
The blister turned out great! It was amazing to watch the process to build it as well.
Hey Matt,
Many years ago I had a master sheetmetal craftsman tell me that the secret to doing great work was to, " Make it look like it grew that way". Easy for him to say.
You, my friend, make it look like it grew that way.
It's BITCHIN!
Haha I like that quote! Thanks for watching!
Nice Work ! Roadster Weather's here Daddy-O ~ time to park Grandma's '39 and get that Sweetheart cruisin' . ps I see you got your '39 crash box buddy back on the welding bench...nobody likes to work alone !
Thank you Matt for showing how it is done ! I know that at time you say that not much of a fabricator ! But you did this a lot better I would ever do and you made it look easy ! Looking forward to seeing the next step on the Sweetheart Roadster ! Take care , stay safe and healthy !
A very nice hand fabricated part. The short cut you took was because of wisdom - you knew what was possible and how to achieve the best results in the shortest time. Thats why experienced craftsman cost so much - you pay for the knowledge and wisdom that they have. It looks very nice indeed.
Thank you very much!
Looks like a Spanish conquistador’s helmet from the 15th century😊
Perfect. It looks like it came from the factory like that. Can’t beat it 😊
So I just finished the Schroll Coupe playlist. Like Steve, I fell more in love with it every video. I can hardly wait to see how the Sweetheart is going to turn out.
Excellent work! The first few blows of the hammer on the part on the sandbag always look scary.
Looks great, what a tough job, you got it there Matt.
Hey Matt, that cover for the transmission came out excellent! Awesome job!
Great work you hammered that floor tunnel into submission, it looks like it belongs there and it is.
Angle the blade on the grinder so that the edges overlap. It's the standard for "cut n butt" metal patches.
Fox On The Run, by Sweet at 3:33.
Nice metal work Matt. Looking forward to the future work.
You do excellent metal work! That takes great patience and experience!
Thank you! Cheers!
Very well equipped shop. Recommend jib crane with electric hoist/trolley that swings over car lift.
Nobody can EVER say this ISN'T ART.
It's Industrial Art and the best entertainment ever!
F
That is great looking. You should make a little shelf in the blister if you have the room behind it to rest you foot in for the gas pedal that would be pretty trick especially on this car. Enjoyed the vid that’s for taking the time to put it together and share it with all of us. 👍
Take a bow that’s proper fabrication
Dude, great metal work, even it was the lazy way. But surely does not look like the easy way!
Thanks Matt and Mike, really enjoyed the video, great work again. Many thanks.
Nice work Matt ,she's a sweetheart alright .
Matt, you make it look easy. We know it's not.
I always learn from these videos
Thanks!!!!
Great looking blister Matt.
Wowzers, amazing amount of work and amazing results! You sir are way to humble. Fantastic design and fabrication! I am sticking by my previous statements we're looking at an AMBR contender! Go Iron Trap, keep moving forward!
helmet's done, next up: visor and chain mail tunic. :)
i see a name change in the future: "Iron Trap Garage & Ye Olde Armory"
Great job, Mat. i didn't know that could be done
You do great work and have a lot of patience for the tedious things
Thanks 👍
Brilliant as always
great fabrication. i love these types of videos, so keep it up.

New fab prob easier than the patching I'm doing. I'm struggling. Nice work as always guys.
The whole time I was watching, I kept thinking of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table.
good job man 👍💪
Nice Matt

Will the tunnel hinder you foot movement at the gas pedal?
Perfect
most impressive
I looking forward to seeing your peddle setup
Very good job Matt. What is the thickness of the metal that you were working with?

Is there a video of getting the delorion roadster back fron interior?
Never got finished and we had to pull it from the upholstery shop.

Rarely for steel.
👍👍👍
😃😃😃
Devo!
Hi guys....just wondering if you were coming to the Northwest this year? I am located in Abbotsford BC Canada...just across the border.... I volunteer at a buddies barns ... there is 11000 square feet of mostly Model A stuff ...if you're interested at all I can send you pictures....thanks ...Roy
Thanks! Not sure if we are or not but you can send an email and we can discuss further. Irontrapgarage@gmail.com
@@IronTrapGarage Matt that would be an awesome trip to see !
✊🏼⛽️
Beautiful craftsmanship, but I hope you have small feet. With that enourmous bell hsg, it doesn't leave you much room.
Has plenty of room. A lot more than a lot of the other cars we have
Matt, do you still work for Eastwood?? I never hear anything about it anymore. If not are you getting paid at another job or for work on cars?
Left there years ago. We do this channel and sell parts for these cars.
what u called laziest its called working smarter not harder !!!!!
almost too nice to cover with carpet!
Did you ever hear of the old school hack using the nose of wheelbarrow as a trans tunnel?
Be careful putting welding rod in your mouth. I inadvertently burned my lips once when I did that.
Have done it a few times. It happens
With your extensive knowledge of properly rebuilding old cars, have you ever thought of taking on a young apprentice to train the next generation of car restorers?
Always looking for young volunteers/helpers but not common to find one that sticks around!
What, no bead rolling in that part? You're getting lazy. I'm interested in the gas pedal placement. Not much room there. Enjoy
You guys seem to be churning out a prolific amount of videos, lately; and I might add, that's a good thing!!
Keep it up, fellas.
NICE JOB , looks great! MLNR JIMMY53
