    Ah, perfection! Not only the superb metalworking, but also the great video presentation! Iron Trap Garage is without controversy number one in the RUclips options! Thank you Matt and Mike! Champions!

    I can see why you were dreading that. Sooo much work for such a small part of the car. It looks great but without the video no one knows how much effort goes into making that small part of the car look so good. Thanks For sharing.

    Technical videos GOOD, that slicing and filling is a neat trick that I can try here! Thanks for the ride Matt. Nice work as usual.

    Sometimes brute force work is required to produce such small appearing effects. However your investment in time has yielded a very nice rear panel that has changed from an amateur effort to a professional result. The gaps looked horrible like someone didn't know what they were doing. In spite of all the louvers trying to deflect attention the eye just focused on those gaps and it did look bad. Now it looks great! I agree the quarters need plenty of help. Troweling tons of body filler isn't the answer. If you were going to do that you might as well get a fiberglass body. Nope old school craftsmanship is the winner here. That is what makes your cars so neat. You do it right the way it was done in the past and recreate really cool metalwork. Thanks for sticking to your standards and doing this car correctly. Those who know what it takes appreciate how hard this effort really is! This car will be stellar when it is finished.

    The back of the roadster looks better without the bumper. The bumper hides the great looking tail lights, IMHO.

    Great video Matt, ........one of the best things about the channel is the variation.
    Lets have a 'Walk around', of all your cars..............................I'm gagging for that '3 window' in the background, been so long forgotten it's name.
    Lot's of Love as always,....................... Reading, England.

    I definitely liked how the passenger side came out , so I am glad you did the driver's side over again , for excellent results . I guess this is what you were talking about with those rear quarters being pretty badly dented . Wow . That will be a lot of work . Looking forward to that post . I really like this project , always have . The best takes time . I'm glad you kept those little curve ups at the edges ! Nice job , Matt !

    Old school would be to braze it solid, then you would have cut it out to fix the cracked corner seams later anyway.

    Fantastic metal work! Love the Sweet Heart and where you have been taking her! AMBR!!! I know it's a bit away, but wondering if you have a color in your noggin (me thinks you have it already figured out)? Still amazes me that the cast off nerf bar from this car is on the front of my '46! Go Iron Trap, keep moving forward!

    The metal work is always interesting, does the TIG welding not created warping?

    • @IronTrapGarage
      @IronTrapGarage  Месяц назад +2

      It does but welding near a bend or body line reduces the warping. I also did some hammer and dolly work off camera in between welding and sanding

    I know you did the truck awhile ago but I bought a pilothouse dodge. I know you did one awhile back. Is it on the Eastwood channel or on Irontrap? Figured I'd ask before searching around. Keep up the good work I've been watching for a long time.

    while i don't usually care for videos that are an hour long, or longer, this one easily could have been and been a great video on working the metal. i'm so tired of the videos from Tommy Pickles and his metal "work". i know this one was short but you could have made a longer video that would have been much more educational, entertaining and inspiring
