That canopy ripped out so quick it didn’t even look like it was in a deployment bag.

Almost all our club kit are Sabres...I dreaded jumping them before I got my own kit :(
I deployed a sabre coming out of a track. It blew up.
I blew up a Stiletto doing the same.
Slider pockets on a Sabre 1 fix the openings and make them better than a Sabre 2
to clarify, my Stiletto blew up as I deployed coming out of a track.....no head down, that's just not smart
Back in the 70's I had a total and went for the reserve and when it opened it was like slinging snot off your fingers. The reserves of the day just opened no sleeves-natta. I ended up with to completely black brusies across the bottom of both legs (leg straps) and a crick in my neck you wouldn't believe. Actually suffered for 5 days until my brother said he was headed down to Cowboys to ride the bull.Riding the bull will fix neck problems
100% relatable. I once tried a tripple frontflip and landed on my head. luckily I was 14 at the time and not on hard groud ;)

I really recommend you to start skydiving if you like what you see ;) It's the greatest feeling in the world ;) But don't open head down :P

This guy must be in permanent chiropractic treatment. :) I had head-down deployment once, not nearly as extreme as this guy's, and it was enough to break the chin strap on my helmet! (which scared the hell out of my girlfriend, because it looked to her like my head came off)

For sure. People injure themselves badly enough to have to give up jumping from a hard belly to earth deployment, head down for sure could be fatal
Rico Morales fuckman I've skydive before with someone on the back and when he pulled that parachute I had the too biggest bruises I've ever had on the side of each of my leg where the strap got a hold of when pull up. holy fuck man I was in pain the whole way down I couldn't even enjoy the coaster side too side movements cause of the pain haha

Chris liam gopro probably shut down and didnt save. Getting slapped by a drogue will shut one off, a 200ish mph deployment probably did
I think He Just Tried with consciousness to See what He could do in case of accidental opening during Head down, to Arrive prepare at that xircumstance if it Will ever happen. I dont find other reasons. But sometimes I do the same for estreme situations to know how to Deal with the situation if it happens (low pull, full twist etc) to handle the situation without the stress of the surprise element..

Just watched a video of a dude getting a premie on an angle jump, it damn near ripped the container off his back. It did rip it off the laterals tho. I can't imagine intentionally pulling head down.... musta lost a bet.

I'm gonna bet that one ended up getting cut away. Hella line twist, and I'm pretty sure he had a line over malfunction in the middle. Hope he was conscious enough to deal with it.
Pausing the video at 0:33 it actually looks like his canopy is completely twisted in the middle. Too bad there isn't any more info or back story. Was it a major line over? Did his canopy or lines blow out?
I've had a premature deployment in a sit before and it almost knocked me out. It knocked the fucking wind out of me for sure and I was sore as heck afterwards. There are canopies developed for for FF speed deployments but this didn't look like one.

@@flybeep1661 all canopies are designed to withstand this type of deployment (idiocy). Probably / hopefully exceeding the fabric-stress-factor by at least 1.7. Ask your rigger..
