Me favourite magic item has always been Ditto's Double Doin' Doo-Daahs. Lore bit was that it was originally made by old shaman who had problems with memory, so item let's you try to cast one spell twice in same turn...
2:48 - given they’ve explicitly said they’ve set tOW during the War of the Three Emperors, they might do Empire as a stand alone release and focus it on Empire vs Empire games. To be honest, I was fully expecting the starter set to be pure Empire so they could do like they did with HH 2nd ed and have it be a set that could be split or could be used as a single army, but given how much in demand Brets and TK are, in hindsight it makes sense why they went with those two as launch factions.
Maybe down the line we'll get chaos warriors vs kislev as a surprise new faction release. There's so many cool things they could do. I'm hoping for some province specific units for Nuln, Marienburg and Middenland.
Brets & TK are the two poorest selling fantasy armies. Their sales can be used as a semi useful "minimum" or later production runs. It will also boost sales of the worst performing ones due to them being the first release. It's a smart choice!
Football 'Ooligans of the Old World are back in force I see. Personally, I would have loved more of the "weird and zany" stuff like infighting, but hey. I am still happy that they're back.

No, just no. O&G were defined by their unreliability, Animosity was the reason I loved playing O&G! When 9th Age removed Animosity I immediately lost interest in 9th Age... Impetuous is nothing like Animosity, it is predictable and it doesn't embody the feeling of your own army fighting amongst themselves. For me, the fact that they removed Animosity is almost enough to say that I won't be playing TOW, just like I did with 9th Age and I know several O&G players that feel the same way. We played O&G because we loved Animosity, not despite it!
They might actually do High Elves Vs Goblins. It's more likely to be Empire Vs Chaos, as there has been talk of them covering the Great War at some point. Grom the Paunch's invasion of Ulthuan is only a century after that. It would also be a throwback to 4th edition.
i'm confused how the night goblin list building works.. its 0-1 night goblin mob per character, also squigs are 0-1 per character... does that mean you need 2 characters to have both of those units, or can 1 night goblin boss be applied to a squig unit and a regular mob unit? in my head, they are two different units, and so 1 night goblin boss can hit the requirement for both.
I agree with the last interpretation. Youre allowed 1 each of the above units per goblin boss/shaman. Having 2 bosses would let you take 2 of each unit - mobs, herd etc And so on and so forth

Army wide randomness looks to have bee n toned down overall. This helps speed up play a suprising amount. Plus, in some ways they are less reliable, it's just that unreliability is more predictable. As a regular opponant to Orcs, it was kind of naff to win because an important unit spent half the game not moving!

5:27 - hopefully when we get the pdf lists for the non-core factions, those factions will have a text box or something saying which core armies can take them as allies; for example a natural fit would be adding Chaos Dwarfs to the list of allies O&G can take, representing a small detachment of Dawi Zharr ‘overseers’ tagging along with a greenskin army (as opposed to CDs with O&G allies which would represent an actual military force of CDs with some greenskin -slaves- involuntary workers with permanent jobs)
I hope the special characters are in the army book, hope they at least have Grom the paunch of Misty mountain and Skarsnik and Azhag the slaughterer. Also I want my Morger the mangler back.

The change of base sizes with mostly the same old models... does leave a bad taste in my mouth. I know it is units and not individual models moving so one use unit bases/trays. But minde will NOT be GW when I try this that is for sure. Glad that many old fine models will now be back available :) I have many but newer or retuning players should not have to beg and be robbed on Ebay to get a standard unit...
GW are going to be releasing the other "core" armies too. Yeah, it's annoying to not have them at launch, but that's the nature if finite production & logistics. ToW wasalways going to be largely old models. New plastics are scary expensive to produce. ToW is a "specalist" game, re-releasing a game that was struggling. Plus, the AoS lines havn't been fully updated yet!

there's a lot of 3D prints of conversions trays floating around, so shouldn't be a problem. As an undead player, i feel your struggle. I don't mind nearly as much, despite the PITA it is, just because everything should rank up a little smoother, and I can inject a couple AOS models into my army without it being a cluster fuck to stack em up.
I was wondering if you could tell us how the "Per 1000 points" rule works. I can see Savage Orcs (orcs with frenzy) units have it. Especially for cases like 750 pts, 1250 pts, 1750 pts, etc.
I started my Warhammer Age of Sigmar adventure with a whole bunch of old fantasy orcs that I placed on round bases. Then GW destroyed this faction, despite the fact that the were selling Start Collecting Greenskinz. Well... all that remains now is to convert them into 40k orks. This is the only way to keep round bases and the spirit of grimdark.
Here's hoping Orcs and Goblins don't turn out to be the Saturday morning cartoon villains of yet another edition of WHFB. EDIT: No Animosity?! Hurray! Doofy villain status = gone.

Those so called legacy armies will get pdf's at the start but these lists will never be updated and they will never get an army book or new models. Which in my eyes is a complete bummer if you take a look at all the classic factions which are labeled as "legacy".

"Not a lot changed"? All Gobbo leaders LD decreased by 1 is a BIG change!!! Fanatics (from what I can see) are NOT triggered but are released at the start of any turn and are placed 3" away (?) then move 2d6 in a random direction in compulsory moves; no directing them on release!! Doom Divers count as stone throwers using their strength and 3" template, not d6 S5 hits ignoring armor. Once again, you've glossed over and hand-waved a lot of the finer but super-important details my friend. Shame!

We are printing movement trays that will allow us to not rebase everything. Rebasing 300+ Goblins would be a nightmare Im not willing to do.
Imagine rebasing 300+ goblins to 25mm, then have to rebase them back to 20mm because your gaming group decided to play an old Edition

Those so called legacy armies will get pdf's at the start but these lists will never be updated and they will never get an army book or new models. Which in my eyes is a complete bummer if you take a look at all the classic factions which are labeled as "legacy".
@@DasKraftKorn Believe me, I know. My point was how "deep" these lists will be. If it will have vampiric powers for VC for example. I have both a VC and a Daemon army so I might not be able to play any. All my other chaos models and armies I have converted to Kings of War. ;P

If you spoke less quickly, you’d make fewer mistakes. Sometimes it sounds like you are just saying one big word with lots of vowel sounds.
"Not a lot changed"? All Gobbo leaders LD decreased by 1 is a BIG change!!! Fanatics (from what I can see) are NOT triggered but are released at the start of any turn and are placed 3" away (?) then move 2d6 in a random direction in compulsory moves; no directing them on release!! Doom Divers count as stone throwers using their strength and 3" template, not d6 S5 hits ignoring armor. Once again, you've glossed over and hand-waved a lot of the finer but super-important details my friend. Shame!
But they gain Warband, meaning they add Rank Bonus to their Ld.
Don´t change bases.. Use spacers.. You want that backward compability..
I still like 6th Ed more..
