First time on the iRacing version this morning. I still can't do anything with my camber settings. I'm wondering if there is another box I've got incorrectly checked somewhere else in my settings/options. I love this circuit, but I need to pray to St Ayrton for an extra 2 seconds. I'm gonna be a nervous wreck racing this.
Starting in the middle is going to be big trouble 😳. Try a no qualy start. You will probably gain 5 spots on lap 1. I don't think there's a set up option setting. If you haven't tried, change everything except camber. I always change it last. The camber setting isn't a big deal, very small improvement if at all
@@edwardbuchanan871 Thanks Ed, great advice. I haven't tried a no qual start before. Didn't consider it to be really "cricket", but on this occasion, discretion might be the better part of valour, indeed. I usually start about P6 and I wouldn't give myself better than even odds of surviving the anticipated T1 flustercuck. Good luck with your race/s and thanks again.
Ed, you're doing God's work lol. Question: I know it's a dogbox, but do you think not having a clutch pedal and having to use the assist harms speed at all with the Ford?
YUP. Borja zazo did a video awhile back on the difference. I noticed it on the start and coming out of 1st gear corners, people with clutches were killing me. When I switched to a clutch, I figured 1 to 2 tenths a lap improvement. If you don't have a pedal, use blip, it's the next best, but it easier to miss shift
This car doesn't need clutch for shift ups and shift downs (as long as you blip) even when not using clutch assists. Curious how/why would clutch use make it faster?
@allaboutf1andstuff453 to blip shift you have to lift. With a clutch, no lifting of the throttle. Is it a big difference, no, but it's slightly faster.
@@edwardbuchanan871 dumb question: are you talking here about upshifts or downshifts? In my head blips are for downshifts and lifting is for upshifts. Are we saying the blips during downshifts impacts speed? or is it the lift during upshifts that slows you down? If the latter, then using the clutch would anyway disengage the accelerator for a moment right? (Also, I'm talking all of this from an h pattern perspective)
@allaboutf1andstuff453 I mean clutch for upshifts, throttle pinned. H pattern isn't going to gain as much performance because of the time to shift. Borja zazo did a video on a comparison of all shifting types for Iracing, but he's not using a h shifter
@@edwardbuchanan871 The horror! At least you have the luxury of blaming the hardware. It gets even harder when prone to brain fade. Maybe it's time to spend the kid's college fund on a new wheel?
Thanks for the guide. I will get some time on track tomorrow and see what I can do. It will be a fun week!
Good luck! Brazil can be a pretty smashy track, frustrating if someone's stupid moves get you taken out
@@edwardbuchanan871 It will be chock full of Brazilians, but since I am one as well, I know how they think and how to avoid getting killed there!

This is going to be chaos the first couple days. I can see the clump of six cars on entry not working...often, lol.
Yes, there is going to be a lot of content for highlight reels

Here we go again already. Two killer Turn 1's in a row. Ugh!
I feel it this week. My wheel turned off in turn lap. Wtf

What about tires?
Low as they can go. The tire model doesn't get you better top speed with higher pressure but you do lose grip
