@smLCSGO love it 😀 . Stick with it, there's a learning curve. Get yourself a D license and move to the open series, the Ray is so much better, the fixed setup is usually awful. The open setup really brings the car to life

@Daniel-Fogelberg the good news, can't get worse. The bad news, might not get better. 😕 The racing here can be great, but it's a great track to dive bomb 💣

@simonolsen9995 I think the curbs depend on the light, I was in a sunny session, and they weren't black. I had 2 laps left at the end, 14 might be tight

Ya I messed that one up, but it was my best lap😮. I have been going through it middle of the bank like the carousel at the nordschleife. I will try going up higher 👍

@@MAMAMA341 probably you have the gear stack different. The guide is standard stack. The race i posted is short, I decided to give it a try to if I could gain some time ⏲️

@MAMAMA341 for sure, changing the gearing for different tracks. If you're struggling at oran, the short is easier, but the standard will get you a little faster lap time

I usually kill them one way or another haha, if I was consistent I'd be very decent but I just need more iracing time, not bad for bout 6 weeks or somet, I did play gts in 2d cockpit view for a couple yrs but had big break after gt7 pd me off. Join next one if see In time I just won with a spin lol, 2 in a row. Hmm 3rd race was heavy rain

@simonolsen9995 yes sometimes it adjusts the toe when the ride height increases with less fuel, it's a small change. I feel your pain, my vr has cut out loading or in qualy and I haven't always got back into the race. Then come the jitters next time out, is my computer go to crash

@@edwardbuchanan871 I'd just dragged my miserable slow self past 2000 IR and was feeling optimistic. 3 bad races back to back at Oran Pk and I'm back on Skid Row more nervous than ever. I can feel my third heart surgery coming on. 🤣

@@brainbeatuk I licked my wounds and got back in the saddle for another crack. Got p2. Lead for half the race but it was a single split and the blue flags were a nightmare. Dignity restored somewhat but luck still not running my way. Good luck with your own comeback too.

@edwardbuchanan871 got 3rd in top split sof was only 2200 though, 11.1 I'm at at the mo fl. It's a easy track like knock hill rev, car is nicely tuned ive tried 1mm at both because obviously diffrent styles your better lol so may not even be issue for my temps lol

@edwardbuchanan871 any qualifications tips? I tried setting pushbar to -16 front back to get similar rideheight with 4litres but I get .700 slower laptime 😆

@brainbeatuk so for qualy, you just need 3L for this track. Changing the settings with qualy fuel will really mess things up. You would have to work up a whole new setup with qualy fuel. The weight of the car is different, and it's all weight in the rear. I would leave your setup the same and just reduce the fuel to 3L and on your out lap swerve and break hard to heat up the tires. Tire temp is how you get a good qualy time

Try changing the aa options in game and or make game profile edit in nvdia control panel if applys to you, what headset n gpu?

@@edwardbuchanan871 It was the last lap from a full tank...sadly with not enough fuel left to attempt to get the 0.077 required to get in front of Neil on Garage61. Oran has proven to be quite the intense track, with back markers coming into play in my two races. Not many natural places on the track for them to give way.

@jorgmani6889 well there is a lot of feel to had. Try the iracing setup for oran park and then mine. You should feel quite a difference. Small changes might not be so noticeable. Also look at your lap times. Iracing v mine, you should see a difference. As far as the how and why's of my setups, I make the car feel how I like it. It leans towards over steer without going crazy, which I think most people are looking for. The best setup is the fastest though, so stick with gets you the best time.

@@edwardbuchanan871 Sometimes the most rewarding viewing of your track guides Ed is 2nd time round. Too many golden nuggets of critical information for an old mind to absorb in 1 sitting. I've still got the best part of a second to find and I've been struggling with turn 9. The refresher class was good. One race under my belt so far. Got hit twice by the same guy with 4x incident points and damage both times. Finished the race ok but was slower than a school bus on the straight. Minor loss of SR and IR. Nose to the grind stone again tomorrow. Love the setup. Looking forward to seeing how you go. There's some fast guys this week. Good luck.

@simonolsen9995 This can be a tough track to get a clean race for sure. Haven't a had an entertaining enough race to post yet, but there is some stiff competition

@@darren1185 ya a little throttle puts the weight back on the rear tires and helps carry more speed. Marker wise between the 50 and the 100 closer to the 50 when the tires are warmed up

@@edwardbuchanan871 Yeah I think its a bit to big for the ray. I do prefer the smaller tracks with it. At least it was dry. Last season the Imola race was a lake in my race. I do like racing in the rain but that was just extreme ha.

@@edwardbuchanan871 I don't think I blinked for the final two laps 😁. A couple of guys behind were defintely faster but your set-up really allows you to smash those kerbs at both Variante Alta and at the mickey mouse chicane and I honestly think this was the difference 👍

@@edwardbuchanan871 Lol. Like, what could possibly go wrong, eh? Just tried an official practice server. The setup feels very good. I managed a 2.03.06 which is a pretty pleasing first practice result for me. Bloody hard to not get off-track penalties here though.

@@edwardbuchanan871 I started with standard because foolishly I didn't like the sound of hitting the rev limiter and being drafted but I agree it's really awkward here. Short is better but I just tried tall and that is better still. It's not a tall track in the sense of top speed but the gearing suits the corners best and I was instantly several tenths faster (but still much slower than you).

@@edwardbuchanan871 Got my 2nd race in. Sam, Ben and other celebs locked out the grid. I was very happy just to bring it home clean in P5 after a P6 start. All productive and no heartache. I stuck with the tall stack because - old, slow and uses a stick to get round. 😉
