I made a similar homemade one using a NuRex "C" Spark tester, but no points. I just manual make a break the connection. I like this one but would like to find a Herbrand coil/condenser tester. Much thanks for the videos too.

What is the nominal range of Model A condensers....+/- 0.24 mFd?
What are the affects of too high or too low values on a Model A?

.22 to .30 mfd seems to work well. Too high or low causes an imbalance with the coil and points that results in weaker spark. You can see this in one of my Herbrand tester videos where I show a bad condenser.
