Thank you for posting this! I have several Model A generators and what keeps me from trying to rebuild them at home is having to deal with the pole screws and field coils, this video gives me a lot of possibilities!
Thanks , great ideas. Would there be a torque that you would say is sufficient for holding the field coil shoes on a 1944 Jeep starter? 3/8 - 16, 60 degree bolt.
Ive never used a torque wrench in them. But I'd say very tight. For extra security you can use a punch to stake the screw head in place or use a drop or two of loctite.
