I might have differences of opinion sometimes with Gagan Bhai but I admire his presentations, his talks on safety features since 2017, and his friendly attitude towards the subscribers. This video was on point unlike with Vikas Yogi.
Recently drive all these C Segment sedans. And here's my take; Honda City still holds the crown of best C Segment sedan. It's comfortable, handles great, engine are decent, service cost is comparatively lower. A almost perfect product. Virtus can be chosen for its looks and the safety it offers. And for some who is not an enthusiast or who can live with Verna's steering wheel should go for this. It's extremely powerful, service network and service cost is sorted, ride quality is top notch. Except Steering feedback everything is almost perfect!

Performance is almost similar in both the cars. One can only differentiate in a drag. But Who does drags races in real life! But Slavia seem like a well rounded product. That much power needs good handling. Slavia has got that. Great power without good handling is of no use. Verna needs to improve on that front

Verna DCT is not significantly lighter than Slavia - it is 1248 kg, whereas Slavia is around 1275 or so. The turbo engine on the Verna is genuinely fast, and is almost ballistic in Sports mode.

You missed to talk about Slavia/Virtus recently got their safety ratings of 5/5 for both adult and child safety. And we all know Hyundai will never be able to get more than 3. And that is why Verna is faster because it is lighter. Slavia is better for me. Also its high time India should make norms for all vehicles with less than 4/5 ratings and make it difficult for Maruti/Hyundai manufacturers to sell lighter/non-safe cars in India.

Just test drive both cars back to back and you will surely feel the weakness in strength in verna compared to Slavia. Hyundai just barely managed to find a way to get 5 stars considering the body being unstable as quoted by Gncap.

For feature packed car one will go for Verna and for sheer driving pleasure, VW twins are better.

Well I have slightly difference of opinion on the fastness of the the car on M/Sport mode there will more torque supply; you should had instead compared both launches as same; however nonetheless you are absolutely pointed out right that plastic choice is better with Hyundai over Skoda. but i have my own doubt on 0-100 verna being a faster car I still feel Skoda/VW will make it early as per my driving experience
Verna has better engine, relatively more reliable double clutch transmission, 5 star Global NCAP rating, heated and ventilated seated, higher quality plastic/soft touch materials, variable ambient lights, better sound system, better boot space, disc breaks for all wheels, ADAS level 2 and priced even less than virus + Slavia. If you can ignore or change the front bumper it straight away looks like a 2024 Hyundai Sonata. Also finally hyundai has much better service after sales compared to horror experiences and costing of VW & Skoda. Any logical person would rate Verna at the top or maybe realise the extra cost VW/SKODA is charging. No doubt Virtus/Slavia DSG are more fun to drive, but I think it's a give or take for everything in life 😂

Hello Gagan, I have seen a few videos, You have usually picked DCT if Available. If Bothe DCT and Cvt is available, Should I go for DCT. I have read in great detail about DCT and other gears. If price is not the issue, should I go for DCT? What percentage of DCT may be showing malfunction as claimed by some users? Are the newer DCT of Verna or City better in terms of reliability, than their previous versions?
Whatever the safety rating is, if possible , use some ninja techniques to check it while you test drive the car, I put honda city suddenly in a mud size pot hole and it’s mud Gurd only touched the ground, and jerking felt in the cabin very badly Put Verna in the same pot hole , but it was shockingly better , inside cabin feel is almost nil And for Slavia, drove the car in rainy cloudy condition, ORVM visibility very very awful, touched a road side i20 at a speed of 20 km/h , the i20 survives, but Slavia - front to mid portion of the left side of the car brutally damaged , Virtus felt solid car, but that window up and down noise is really irritating , back seats are not good

The dynamics of the VW twins is far better than than that of the Verna. Have taken TD of both the turbo and non turbo Verna. Suspension is too soft for high speed rides and the steering is no one that inspires confidence. I am a tad bit surprised how Gagan felt the ride to be better on the Verna. The city is still the best sedan in the class.
Verna sales figure is very low for Dec'23 . Just 700 units.. this is very low considering their number of showrooms. If such story continues then they have to discontinue Verna product.

Also finally hyundai has much better service after sales compared to horror experiences and costing of VW & Skoda. Any logical person would rate Verna at the top or maybe realise the extra cost VW/SKODA is charging. No doubt Virtus/Slavia DSG are more fun to drive, but I think it's a give or take for everything in life 😂

Hello Gagan, I have seen a few videos, You have usually picked DCT if Available. If Bothe DCT and Cvt is available, Should I go for DCT.
I have read in great detail about DCT and other gears. If price is not the issue, should I go for DCT?
What percentage of DCT may be showing malfunction as claimed by some users?
Are the newer DCT of Verna or City better in terms of reliability, than their previous versions?
City doesn't comes with CVT..
Whatever the safety rating is, if possible , use some ninja techniques to check it while you test drive the car,
I put honda city suddenly in a mud size pot hole and it’s mud Gurd only touched the ground, and jerking felt in the cabin very badly
Put Verna in the same pot hole , but it was shockingly better , inside cabin feel is almost nil
And for Slavia, drove the car in rainy cloudy condition, ORVM visibility very very awful, touched a road side i20 at a speed of 20 km/h , the i20 survives, but Slavia - front to mid portion of the left side of the car brutally damaged ,
Virtus felt solid car, but that window up and down noise is really irritating , back seats are not good

yeh sab toh theek hai. But can VW Group (including Slavia) even try to match the after sales and service support of the Hyundai Network in India? Absolutely not. Post sales is very important in India.
The dynamics of the VW twins is far better than than that of the Verna. Have taken TD of both the turbo and non turbo Verna. Suspension is too soft for high speed rides and the steering is no one that inspires confidence. I am a tad bit surprised how Gagan felt the ride to be better on the Verna. The city is still the best sedan in the class.
This verna is intentionally kept with softer suspension to cater to a wider audience. N-Line will have stiffer suspension and better steering feel

1.6 turbo Verna is the Gem of the Engine
Gagan the updated slavia doesn't offer wireless carplay and Android auto. Just fyi
Verna ka Steering wheel seedha hai ya ulta samajh nahi aa rha Bhai.
Verna sales figure is very low for Dec'23 . Just 700 units.. this is very low considering their number of showrooms. If such story continues then they have to discontinue Verna product.
