very good work and quality ! ythanks for share! 15:08 insulation: for middle (small) size or bookshelf speaker boxes I used layer of cardboard, layer of aluminum and fiber like "wattine/guata", a kind of armored boxes! XD
Man those are so nicely done. I'm not often jealous but hell... I really have to make them some day or you want to sell them to me and bring them down to México 😅 What was the build cost?
@@QAudio yeah I made myself very large speakers like you did. They came out real nice and costes me about 4k to build. Some day I want to make those JBL 4355 too. Great job man!. On my personal channel you can see the end result of mine. "Own design"
I'm not the maker, here, but you might try a carpet or a sheet flooring store. Carpet and vinyl flooring comes on tubes about that size. If you absolutely cannot find your size, you can roll your own, by soaking cardboard, and brushing woodglue, and then rolling it around something. It does work, because I've done it. There are specialty tube supplies on the net, too. But try the carpet and vinyl people.
with my opinion, I like baltic plywood better. and it build strong, and less dust it than MDF. You can check more opinions from other people below the link forum.audiogon.com/discussions/which-material-sounds-better-for-speakers-construction-wood-ply-or-md
MDF is cheap and easy to work with but it's the worst material to build speakers, however HDF is a different story. Baltic birch and marine grade play woods are the absolute best.
i don't agree with plywood choice. In my home 13 ply minimum with a russian plywood (birtch I think in english) of 1.5 inch thick and cutting with skillsaw not a pro saw bench and so my-my-my !!! But I/m too purist in reproduction I suppose lol
Excellent job! Screw and Glue on this size cabinet def the way to go.
Thank you :)

Wonderful work, I hope you are enjoying the fruits of your labour. May I ask what species of wood veneer did you use? Thanks
Thank you. I used walnut veneer
@@QAudio Looks great
@@hallyMUSICprojecT thank you

Man those are so nicely done. I'm not often jealous but hell... I really have to make them some day or you want to sell them to me and bring them down to México 😅 What was the build cost?
😆. Start with nothing. So I have to buy a lot equipment, spend lot times and stress, it worth about 6k

Hello how did you get the angle for tube in 4355?

How much would it cost to buy a pair from you?
$5000
bravo
Thank you 😊
How many man-hrs for the cabinets please?
A lot, I don't remember. Maybe around 6 months because I just spend 2 or 3 days per week
For what is the Velcro on the Front?
Btw. really great work.
It's use to hold the front cover. And thank you 🙂
@@QAudio Ok thanks for the Info.
How much did it cost to build all together?
Wondering the same
Around 6k for parts. Plus, 3 months of labor, time built on the sketch, all the material for wood makers. Will add up together around 10k plus
If i see the colour of damping material! Isover. Glass wool. Micro fiber comming out the reflex tunnel. Krebs?
😄
Excelente trabajo, saludos desde Chile
gracias 😊
Amazing!
thank you
What is the thickness of this wooden board?
1 inch
Why the metal braces?
More strong and the plans say so 😀
Can't see how they would add any strength to what is already a very strong cabinet - oh well.
I thought MDF was actually the best material for speaker cabinets.

MDF is cheap and easy to work with but it's the worst material to build speakers, however HDF is a different story. Baltic birch and marine grade play woods are the absolute best.
Its structure is very weak, doesn't hold screws well without splitting, and worse, readily absorbs moisture which causes it to swell.

Time/work saving tip: If you glue and clamp wood pieces together, screws are not needed. Either use screws or glue - both are unnecessary.
thank you. Just want to use everything I can :)
Is called belt and braces and is absolutely fine 😉
i use screws to finish it fast and glue to have a really nice seal, i believe that's worthy.
