I build a rear bumper for our Geo Tracker Project and also test our 3500# Mile Marker Winch. Products Used Links Below
Steel is 4x2x1/8 HSS (rectangle tube) HSS stands for Hollow Structural Section and is how metal shops will refer to it and like to act like you're a moron for not knowing that. (if they do this, ask them what it stands for so they panic ;) lol)
Trackers total weight as it sits in this video- 2460 lbs.

Loving the Tracker build! Good to know I am not the only crazy person building one of the old dinosaurs!
Lol. Nope, you’re not alone!
Ayyy Tracker gang!!
@@DeathTollRacing I am with you guys as well. Starting a 1995 build
@@WRxJb right on!!
Nice and simple rear bumper 👍 I just subscribed to your channel.
I’m also out in Washington, good to see another channel making some Suzuki Sidekick videos 🙂
It just gets better as it goes along.
Thanks!!
looks great! Also looks like it would make a nice air tank.
Dang good idea!
Looks Perfect, great idea on the tide down rubber pice thing.
Thank you!!!
Love it simple design , so you don’t do any type off bumper bracket for the rear. You just welded it to the frame at those three points?
Thank you!
Thanks! I didn’t do brackets, but you can. I was going to, but I was sick when I did it and got lazy. Shouldn’t be an issue though, there’s nothing obstructed by it, so no reason to ever have to take it off.
I like how easy it is to make and how good it look. Great video.
Thanks!!
Nice build! I see you started to look at adding a 2" receiver, but decided not to. Any plans to add one in the future? When I build a back bumper, I'm going to have to figure out how to make one work. Mine's an '89 Sidekick.
Thanks! I may put one on still. I didn’t want it sticking out, and with the gas tank there I would have too. But in reality, it wouldn’t hurt anything if it was sticking out a bit.
Nice set up. Unfortunately I don’t have any skills or tools to weld.
Any idea on what aftermarket front/back bumpers work instead?
I got a 1991 sidekick
I saw a guy on RUclips who put a wrangler bumper on one without any welding. I didn’t look too bad. I posted it below. I believe there are a few available specific for it too, but they are pricey

Those D rings are just cargo tie downs?? What would you do with them?? Especially on the front. The front one looks great but needs real shackles and grill gaurd.
They are stronger than the tracker. I believe they are rated at 3k. I actually don’t need a grill guard , but you can put one on yours if you’d like.
These videos are outstanding! I've got a 98 Chevy Tracker that has been incredible but these videos are inspiring me to give it some love. Any ideas on where to get a spare tire relocation bracket? My current spare doesn't fit on the stock carrier. If I can buy one affordably that would be easier than fabricating one. Thanks again for these videos!
Thanks! I don’t know of a bolt on one, but what about this one....

It’s for a jeep jk but it looks like you may be able to make it work.
Not as nice as the front, but not as much time spent either I imagine. Good tip on the rubber in the D-ring.
Very simple bumper. I tried to keep it so anyone can do it. Plus I had Covid when I built it, so I was less than ambitious.
Здравствуй брат! Где взять такую крышу? У меня такой же сузуки и я не могу найти крышу на него!

What type and size square tubing did you use for that? It looks great!
4x2x1/8 wall. It's about perfect for strength vs weight for the trackers.
@@DeathTollRacing thanks man, that’s what I thought but wasn’t positive… Keep up the good work!
What did you make the rear skid plate from?
It was a front plate I modified from another car. I think an aftermarket one for a Jeep renegade.
You should get the 5.13 gears for your diffs my rear diff went out a few yrs back so I bought a parts one and it had the 5.13s instead of the 4.26s or whatever.
I believe I do. I put a * next to mine Yours must be an automatic?

@@DeathTollRacing yes it is an auto. 94 U model. Also have a parts 94 manual wish I knew if tranny was good, I need to get all the good parts off still b4 it goes to scrap soon.
Where did you get the snorkel from I’ve been looking for that filter top and can’t find that kit anywhere! Love the build!
There’s a link for it in the description of the install video. I think it was 2 videos one for the snorkel and one for the prefilter.
Snorkel Pre-Filter Must Have on our Budget Build Geo Tracker PreFilter upgrade. Sy-Klone or CAT?
Geo Tracker Snorkel and Custom Intake Install. Geo Tracker 4x4 / Suzuki Sidekick 8v and 16v Valve
What size tube was it 4x2 or 3x2.
I used 4x2 1/8 wall.
Thanks
What gauge of metal did youbuse?
Those were 4x2x0.120. (1/8th)
Nice!!!
Thanks!
Nice
Thanks!
How much it will cost for front and rear bumper
This video is showing how you can make your own, so the cost will be relative to the cost of steel in your area.
Thanks
Clean
Thanks!
Perfect….. 👍😎👍
Thanks!
I slammed into a boulder the size of a coffee table, in reverse (doing about 20mph... dumb/young) and that little brace in the rear saved my ass from ruining my gas tank or worse . I have a trailer hitch on mine now, don't tow much but it's there for a reason...
For sure. They serve a purpose even if they seem useless.
