I was so intrigued by the interface of Apple Carplay. It makes driving a lot more cooler, maybe organized, and more modern! I'll be sure to have all, if not most, all my future cars featured with it! Great video! And I can expect for even newer features in the future!

Is it somehow possible not to have blocked by Carplay the built in bluetooth car telephone? I mean I really like to use carplay, but for phone calls it would be sometimes easier to use the car phone.
I have a iPhone on iOS 16.1.3 but do not see the “share park location” option. I tried searching for it and could not find it. Do you need to be connected to CarPlay before this can be set?

quick question. Everytime i leave the car and com back , I have no sound. I have to go to my car media and switch my external devices to either my phone or the aux input. Its one or the other. One time its phone nexttime its on aux just depending on what it was on before.

My volume used to work fine.
Now my music will play normal but once I touch my phone or open it the volume goes down to 11 automatically. I’ve tried everything to change it back but I can’t figure it out.

Does Apple car play expire? I bought my car in 2017 and everything worked fine until 2019 and I can’t get it to work anymore.
I have been using Apple Car play since mid March 2022. I gotten a 2020 Ford Escape SE. It was so easy in figuring it out. I wish still have the old pink and red screen.
Help! I have Apple CarPlay , Maps was working fine where it would give me the verbal directions as I drove. Then one day while using Maps I realize I had the wrong destination up so I change the address and ever since then I have not been able to get verbal directions. The volume the volume is up and I keep looking at different things, but I can’t figure out how it was ever turned off and how I can get the verbal directions to turn back on? Can you help me?
I’m still learning on my 2020 Ford Escape SE. I do have Apple Car Play in it. I do have it on dark mode on it.

The only thing I would like to know , is that if there is an option to disable the maps mode. I’m just “worried” about the data usage of the phone.
In your phone’s settings, you could hunt around in there, or maybe turn off data access to the Maps app. Or just avoid dashboard mode.

I need help! When I make a call while connected by bluetooth or by wire, the volume of the phone call is so low I can barely hear it. Music plays great, phone calls and maps are like a whisper. I turn the volume up to max and it is still barely a whisper. Same for siri.
I have the same problem. The AutoPlay voice was too low, overwhelmed by the radio music. I’ve spent several days trying to find the volume control. Has anybody found the volume control?

Hi, I have a 2021 Ford escape with SYNC3, this is the 1st vehicle I can use car play with. Here's my question: I use navigation with Waze usually while listening to Sirius XM, I cannot figure out how to change the channel I am listening to while CarPlay is in use, it seems like I have to disconnect CarPlay to be able to get to the radio's channels. How can I do this without shutting off CarPlay? SIRI is unable to do it. Thank you

Thank you for your video. Big issue with iPhone and BMW. You cannot use screen mirroring to watch videos (when you are not driving of course). This works perfectly with Android but not on iOS. Why is this ? Thanks you
In my toyota highlander i need to plug it in. The sound is way better using bluetooth than carplay...dont know why that is!

The apps are not stored on the head unit they are stored in your phone the head unit is merely a mirror of what is on your phone you can determine what apps you want to show up through your Apple CarPlay settings on your phone.

My settings don’t show car park in maps and I have the newest phone.
From Apple:
If you don’t see your parked car in Maps
Make sure your iPhone is paired to CarPlay or Bluetooth in your car, then make sure of the following settings:
Location Services is turned on in Settings > Privacy.
Significant Locations is turned on in Settings > Privacy > Location Services > System Services.
Show Parked Location is turned on in Settings > Maps.
Note: Your parked car isn’t marked at a location where you frequently park, like at home or work.

In my car apple maps is there when car play starts. I can set the route in the iPhone app before I get in the car and when I start the car the route automatically starts.

I’m wondering if you know how to shut off MAPS from cutting off music to announce very quietly (any way to control the volume on this as well?) that there is a traffic cam ahead. I still want voice directions when I’m using maps for routing. But this is happening on the map displayed in the split screen on CarPlay.

While Maps is making an announcement, turn the volume with your radio knob to the desired level. New announcements will be at that level. I found this by mistake because I turned down the sound once and didn't realize it kept that setting. It took me along time to figure out how to get it back. He covers this around 12:30...
New to CarPlay. Can you change the default maps to google maps. Also is there a way to make the blue dot that shows up in messages to disappear after you’ve listened to a message?
My 2022 Honda Civic sport touring hatch when using CarPlay the unit is almost unusable! Freezes, does weird things. Many bugs. I have the latest version of iOS 15!

Some systems lacking in power will do that to avoid distortion. I’m not sure if that’s specifically the case for you, is your system aftermarket? Or factory?

Can Antone tell me how to arrange the 3 small icons to the left of the Home Screen with all the apps. I have selected different apps but can't figure out how to set the 3 I would like to use most. The bottom icon seems to be the only one that will change. I have arranged the larger icons with my phone's customize feature under settings, but can't customize the top 2 smaller icons on the left side. Any help would be appreciated.
As far as I’m aware, those 3 consist of most recently used/currently in use audio app, navigation app, and communication app. That’s why the messages icon there changes to phone when you recently made a call. I don’t think you can set them. Unless I’m wrong and you can, in which case someone enlighten me.

Question: How do I get message notifications on my Apple watch while my iphone is plugged in and using CarPlay in my Jeep? I often miss the dash screen display of a message coming in. Apple limits what you can do with CarPlay, mostly to navigation, and audio based stuff. They don’t want anyone staring at their screen while driving, obviously. So they limit what you can do visually.
Install Carbridge on your phone and u can watch what ever you want

You can now report cops on Apple Maps too, by reporting a “Speed Check”
Is that what that means ? Every time speed check comes up on my maps I never see a cop so had no idea why it was saying that
@@pewbangpew8109 well for the same reason Waze has cop reporting, by the time you get there it’s possible the cop moved. Also, some people report cops that are moving, for some reason. Why, who knows.
Sure wish they would add find my. No reason why you should not be able to ask where is my... and have the map come up and show where a device or person is.

I got mine for under $100, works great most of the time, although wired is a tad more reliable.
