  • #shorts In this video short I explain how to bleed the air out of the cooling system. Use this procedure anytime the cooling system is serviced. WARNING, make sure the engine and coolant is cold and the pressure is relived before starting or hot fluid can gush from the bleed vent.

    Hi I have problem with my VW touareg V6 TDI I can't find the temperature sensor please help

    I replaced the water pump in my TDI Touareg - I emptied almost all of the coolant, but only about 3L has gone back in. I tried the heater method, for about 30 minutes but the level in the resevoir is staying the same. Clearly coolant is not getting into the engine. Is it possible that doing what you did in the video will solve the problem? I'm very concerned about running the engine this way. Also - how much do I need to let the engine cool down before doing this? Thank you!

    With a cold engine, I get nothing out when I remove the screw. But then if I take the cap off reservoir I then get coolant come out. Is that right?

    I have a 3.0L lieter 2015 Touareg and the screw you show is smaller (like three times as small) than in your video, is that normal? I have not tried to do anything yet as i am studying and preparing to do it :P

    Do the new touaregs need to be vacuum bled?

    • @garysgarage2118
      @garysgarage2118  4 месяца назад

      I don’t know the answer but it’s easy to vacuum the system and is a great way to get the air out of high areas.

      If your system is in vacuum you may not get anything out at first. You can open the reservoir cap. Feel for air escaping. If there is a lot of air in the system it can take a while
