Dog Eat Dog in the USA. Is the American Dream still possible Yes but it gets harder by the day. The issue is are you willing to pay the price? everything comes with a price. like I tell people if the only thing you can afford to buy is a house and that takes you 20 years to pay it off. 400k dollar home and take that money to thailand or phillipines that sir is a lot of money in South East Asia. I managed to pay 3 houses lived in one and have the tenants pay the other 2 with rent money. 1.2 million now i live on the capital gains. 100k plus a year. in Thailand that's like 400k dollars live the dream buddy.

If I crack 100,000 and they are active subscribers that is correct I would probably be the biggest I’ve ever been in my life and being in a cheaper market in a more beautiful country so I have faith man I’m about to crack 11,000 and 400 more subscribers and my subscribers are active like they’re viewing my videos I’m not some 600,000 subscriber channel that’s getting 4000 views or something I definitely believe that this is going to happen. Told you on one of your other videos before, I’m almost 38, and have been having THESE EXACT sentiments about life the last few years, it’s just not rewarding to chase riches and material things, even though it seems like it once you come from nothing and reach a certain level of wealth. It’s fun to gather and live an exorbitant life, but it gets real boring real soon, if you need to keep on grinding hard to stay on that level.
So I’m now on year 2 of my 5-year plan to exit this meaningless rat-race that we call modern-day life, and was hoping to eventually possibly emigrate to Thailand, and just like you, I happen to stumble upon the Philippines and their easily accessible English-friendly culture. So I’m making a plan to head out there as soon as this current rainy-season blown over and see if this will be the place for me🤞
It will be a speculator-vacation, if you will, so let’s see how it goes.

I went to the Phillipines Oct 22, 2023. I had been planning it for a year or more. I planned on staying 8 weeks to really check it out and travel all over to experience it. After a week I couldn't stomach the poverty all around me. I bought another one way ticket home and wasted another $800. So anyone reading this, just know that the poverty is in your face everywhere you go except for Makate etc.

Thank you I have an iPhone 13 promax and an iPhone 12 pro so I’m not sure how you upgrade and yeah if people want to donate to me towards a new camera I’ll buy a GoPro or whatever but yeah I’m swamped between paying for Boracay and BGC into Internet, bills into electricity, bills, and flying back-and-forth and all that stuff so it’s not really in the budget for me to buy I guess the only upgrade could be an iPhone 14 promax. I think my lens was dirty though, so yeah either way if we’re talking about my latest video it’s at like 11 or 12,000 views so apparently no camera upgrade needed.
Iphones are the best for vlogging on the go. A go pro would be nice for underwater and snorkeling. Its the content thats more important. Vloggers in Dumaguete only use their phones and they get tens of thousands subscribers.

1500 you’ll be fine you’ll have to find a girl that has money and you will need to live in like Cebu in a place that 15 K or less more than likely about two grand is where you start to get comfortable three grand if you live where I live

Yeah, things have over doubled like rent my sushi place that used to be $20. All you can eat is now 40 places I could’ve rented for $600 a decade ago will rent the first day for 1450 but you can still fry an egg on the sidewalk and there’s no beach in sight Los Angeles moved to Las Vegas and it was over.

But when I do, I'm just planning to build a house there... been watching lot's of vlogs late couple years regarding building a house and they are not that expensive depends what city province planning build one, I live in an apartment renting for years and saved more than if I had a house paying mortgage. Unfortunately with all college loans had to pay back other bills etc... like you said, if have any chance to save do so..well I have. All I need just a small house... maybe build 4 to 6 door apartment for extra income.

I had savings my friend, my RUclips channel is making money now. I’m doing Airbnb. I have two properties. Yeah maybe I need to do another video breaking it down but it’s gonna be different for everybody. And yes you need some savings. Also any American man should have credit lines they pass out credit like candy so that could be an emergency fund.

@@JasperinthePhilippines Sorry yes, just for a visit I planned to check out station 1, due to the location referenced in another expats channel, but a friend of mine in the Philippines suggested to try the whale shark diving in Oslob. Those were just for visits, not the final permanent stay. Is there any place you'd recommend as a permanent location to put ones foot down. And yes I am a single 38 male.
Oh cool yeah Boracay is super competitive in the land of the beautiful people but as a 38 year old, you’re relatively young I have no clue what you look like. If you’re looking to hook up with girls, Boracay is probably not the place in the province is going to be the easiest, or like Negros, or do Magette and you can meet a girl from Negros online but in the Philippines, you could literally throw a dart, and you probably be OK, but Boracay is probably the most difficult place in the Philippines to hook up with girls, not saying I haven’t done it but I am saying the difficulty level would be super super high but if you want to go kite, surfing or diving, it’s the most beautiful beach in the world in my opinion

I worked at least 15 years in LA, USUALLY 40 TO 50 HOURS A WEEK sometimes sixty I think close to 2000 hours a year but I only worked 500 hours a year overseas and made more money 500k vs 1.5 mil. Saved 500k on taxes and bought 3 houses and a dozen cars. I had a better life in Japan, KSA, Thailand, and Vietnam over 35 years. No regrets.
