Indreni Waterfall also Known as Rainbow Falls | The Hidden Waterfall in Sonada, Darjeeling
This mesmerizing waterfall will bewitch your soul
“Indreni” means “Rainbow” in Nepali dialect. On a sunny day, the sunlight filtering through the water droplets creates a rainbow in the waterfall, and hence, it acquired its name from the rainbow.
Indreni Falls, also known as Rainbow Waterfall or Indreni Chango is a phenomenal natural attraction in North Bengal.
Two route connects to Indreni Waterfall.
1: Walking distance from Sonada Petrol Pump (ask the local people) take the narrow road.
Once you reach the entry gate, you'll need to walkthrough the iron gate and there is a narrow and steep downhill pathway made of concrete that winds down through dense forested area. You'll need to hike down for 30-40 min...there are railings on the pathway so thatyou can walk safely.
2: Take the route as shown in this video, the road are in very good condition.
Distance- Indreni Falls is located 5-6 km away from Sonada town.
