The new Dodheimsgard is unreal, amazing... it's like a journey through all impossible dimensions, like a cosmic odyssey, like an insight into a crazy, genius brain.
Very different than what I was expecting, and I mean that in the best way possible. This new sound is brilliant, every listen is more rewarding than the last one. Can't even fathom what kind of replay value the whole album might have.
Love the truthful feeling from the author as always, so the shamanic aspect confirmed since that valley at 7:00 aprox. Hail from chile, at Calcurrupe River, camping now 6 days alone but always well accompained
Not what I expected but exactly what I wanted. This is why change and progression are more important than sitting in one place. More power to DHG for continuing to do what they want to at any given time. Can't wait for the album!
Don't know what I expected... but this wasn't it. Way calmer and chill... but I wouldn't be surprised if this might the most accessible song on the album since it was chosen as the first single, but I really liked it. But I don't expect the album to surpass An Umbra Omega which is one of my all-time favorite albums... but I'll be happy if it's just 75% as good, then it'll still be better than anyone else. Can't fekkin wait for April 14th.
This is unbelievable, I didn't know the band prior to this song, even didn't like it at the begining of the song, but for some reason I was dragged into an amazing journey right till the end. That middle slow section with the choirs and the ending were fucking brilliant, all paired with top visuals. Man this weed is good too.
@@serroche Nice. If you haven't yet, be sure to check out their song, Er det måneskinn, they have an official video for that song. It's a decent introduction to the weirdness that is Vicotnik.
What a little masterpiece, I immediately recognized Costin´s very special art, which I like very much. And I think your music and his art is an unbeatable combo, so enjoyable for the soul.
A good song, i waited for more "madness", but now i got it, this is a greatfully sad story of man, needs to sound like a trance of sorrow, thanks DHG, thanks my friend Yusaf, Now i understand this new experiment, and I love it. Waiting for the full album to buy it and have it in My colection. Cheers Buddys.
Since I saw the font album I could listen to this album even without had previously listened to it!!! I was damm right, it is just as I expected it to be, atmospheric, Avangard, futuristic, mystic, trance like, can’t wait to see them play in Mexico 😊
Wow, I am taken aback! This is a lot more truly haunting than I was expecting, which was already something that was dripping with viscous melancholy, although the whipping, shredding madness has been replaced, in this track anyway, with experience of certain things and (thus) the complete, all-encompassing rejection of any possible hope. Real, very real.
suprisingly prog electronic/krautrock-ish, digging this melody ridden and atmospheric side of DHG more that we heard in bits and pieces in the previous album. cannot wait for the album after all these years of waiting but i understand it will be so hard to top the A Umbra Omega, since it's being hailed mostly as the magnus opus of DHG, me included.
I'm glad to report that I was absolutely blown away by the rest of the album. Every single track, including this one, has multiple memorable passages to the point that I feel this has to be their most artistically sophisticated and genre-defining offering to date. My hopes were absolutely surpassed.
Some of this reminded me of a little of Oranssi Pazuzu, but I can't pinpoint what parts. Maybe its just the the singing style combined with doomy, psychedelic & at parts electronic vibes. I really like it. Interesting stuff! I have to listen to full album now.
i love the idea that they're coming back but i can't find anything special in this work different than the last phenomenal release . hopefully i'll be wrong when the whole album is released !
I definitely see it as a different approach tbh. No sadistic playfulness at all, this is almost overwhelmingly "real" in some ways. It is probably the most thoroughly depressing track that DHG have ever made imo. I knew it would be dark and sinister, obviously, and hoped that it would be "far out", but I did not expect it to convey...certain things.
i think they could've invested in a vocals position instead of Vicotnik ,and maybe kept Sekaran as drummer since his work in the last album was unprecedented !@@viemarirunoa of course this doesn't alter the fact that i listen to this record every single day !
DHG have greatly surpassed themselves with this album. This is the absolute peak of the Norwegian metal sound deserving a place among the best metal albums. Along with la masquerade infernale prime examples of metal musicianship.
THIS ALBUM IS AN ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECE.
A Umbra Omega songs are all good, this one has some weak ones.
I want to listen to this out in the desert, staring at the stars, watching galaxies burn. Amazing track.
Me too
Watching galaxies burn? You'd have to sit in that desert for thousands of years to witness that.
@@DesideriusTheSerious Exactly.
I'm in. Let me know when you want to take the journey. I hope it's a slow burn.

Aftyer Umbra Omega and THIS! This is the best music/band in the world
Pioneers. This is SPECTACULAR.
Mesmerizing, addictive. Can't stop listening over and over again. Thank you DHG for existing.
A DHG anthem, laced with the art of Costin Chioreanu… This truly is a masterpiece. 🖤
Best song of 2023 so far. Can't stop listening to it. Even after 11 minutes, I want it to keep going.
Very different than what I was expecting, and I mean that in the best way possible. This new sound is brilliant, every listen is more rewarding than the last one. Can't even fathom what kind of replay value the whole album might have.
Maybe is because this was done from wisdom. So could be a constant source of knowledge. So could be sacred
Terms taken from lectures by John Vervaeke
DHG greatest work so far in my opinion. Amazing album to listen again and again
Love the truthful feeling from the author as always, so the shamanic aspect confirmed since that valley at 7:00 aprox.

DHG is back! yes! we need DHG in the states.
im exhausted to listen this song over and over again, its seems like this is the most hitting song ever.cant wait to hear an album!
Great track! Can't wait to hear the whole album. Costin Chioreanu did a remarkable job with this video!
Such a beautiful, patient and mature piece of music and video. This will be a journey.
Beautiful, patient, and mature.. yeah. No more words needed.
That was a Costin Chioreanu masterpiece. And amazing song!
Simply one of the best bands ever

never had a YT advert in the middle of a music track before........maybe it's a sign

The vocalist is in a similar band known as Dold Vorde Ens Navn. You may like their sound as well.
@@vardoger3379 Thanks for the recommendation, gonna check them right now!

The choir at the end is incredible. Not sure where the inspiration was from. Love the brutalism in the video.
3:56 - absolutely haunting and beautiful. An ideal insomnia music
Indeed, sleepy music zzz
I’m obssessed with that sound
Wow, great track. Looking forward to the whole album. Haven't listened to these guys in at least a decade.
The track is amazing
Much, much better than ALL their previous albums. A masterpiece album, great journey. Bravo!

I am enchanted by the outro
While this is a great piece in its own right, very avantgarde and atmospheric, I'm hoping the rest of the album has more sustenance and oomph.

Hell yea, some new DHG. Gonna set aside some time to give this a listen. Hails and horns from Florida!
Wow, this is really something unique and cool. Going to check these guys out more for sure!
A umbra omega fue una obra monumental, una genialidad. Si su nuevo disco es la mitad de bueno que aquel ya será un gran logro.
