I love your diagnosis that the body that aches is due to lack of use! Just doing some stretch band work took away lower thoracic back rib pain immediately! You are saving my life, Doc!

You're literally God send. i thought i damaged my ribs or something. turned out it is cause of sitting for long hours in the most worst posture possible all through 2020 and 21. i was very scared. thank you for this! i realised what is causing it.

I keep getting diagnosed with costo even though the only symptom I’m experiencing is SOME pain in my sternum, but it mainly happens under my pecs and in my lats. I’ve been feeling like it’s associated with muscle weakness and I am so happy to have found this video!!

You are something else Sir. I tried these and i have the exact same symptons you are showing in this video (ribs, weird uncomfortable pain below the pectoralis major and around the sternum). To add, i also have a 5 year chronic bicep/shoulder tendinitis and this really, really, really, really was SOMETHING ELSE. I really love your opinion about "waking up the chest muscles before engaging in a exercise such as the pushup or just a random chest exercise. Thank you so much sir. I just tried these and they felt great. I really love how you explain things by the way: how you say take your time with the band circles, adduction until you feel your chest starts to work and to take your time). I'm definitely going to sub. Also thanks about the elevation of the pushup. I've never thought about doing elevated knee pushups, they are so nice for the shoulders! You could also add if you want to decrease shoulder tension/pain you could treat the elevated knee push up as a bench press and make a bow and not just dive right down!

Edit: apparently it's a diaphragm issue. Most of us are not breathing properly and the diaphragm hits the rib cage. Just breathe deeper and you should be ok.

This is thoughtful & blessed teaching .
So, where do I begin ... a MVA . Followed by a rear- end collision that caused occipital head injury ( recovered with natural herbal remedies and eye surgery !) but, my skeletal and muscule weakness (even utilizing P.T.exercises and the smallest walker that forces you to hunch over ! ) gradually over the years has left me hunched back, rolled shoulders with sciatic nerve pain that worsens if I don't stretch it out constantly throughout my day . It is now to the heel of my foot and burns like hot coals .
    I'm not giving up ❗
There is a reason I found you
    Where to begin ❓
    I believe it's right here . I have not a $ but I listen and I can follow directions just fine .
Thank You for these videos I've found . Just point me in the right direction to #1 .

I made a mistake of using just one dumbell with a little more weight on while standing and i notice i was kind of not standing straight and pushing it upp and overdid it for a week, i did not stretch beforehand. The pain is beginning to go down now, i could not lay down on my bed had to sleep on the couch. I began to have a panic attack last night but then i told myself "i have been infront of computer for 20 years without working out..stop having fear..rest your body...this is what happens when you dont stretch and overdo something wrong way" thanks for the tip, gonna try the band one. Severe pain right mid chest toward outer side felt like kidney stone. Had chest xray and ct. Scan. Showed old fracture rib number 6 rib where my pain is. I had split wood with splitting mall and wedges the week before the pain started. Hurts real bad when i bend to left. Calcium deposit make the muscle inside chest against rib inflamed. Tylenol arthritis does help i have to be very careful to turn slowly to left for it fills terrible pain if i bend fast. Sounds bad but cleaning self on toilet bending to left being right handed is the worst. The pain is getting better plan on starting stretching and elastic stretchers gradually.

Hi. Are there any specific exercises to try for costochondritis?
I’ve already purchased a Backpod and have loosened up and tight spots in the back. My first shot in the front of my body is very tight so I’m loosening that up but at the same time I feel like I should also be strengthening my back but I don’t want to hurt the sternum anymore…

how many sets and reps per day and how many days per week ?
Also should i do all of the exercises or to choose 3 of them ?
Last question, what is the final target of doing this ? is it pain relief or bulking around the painful area ?
    Thank you in advance.

2023/05/31 Wed. -New job of doing dishes in a sink that is too low for my comfort, doing heavy lifting and lowering makes my middle bone on ribs extremely painful when doing and lingers for about 15 min. after in spite of trying to open up the rib cage by bending backwards with arms open wide and then hands together behind the back and stretched out as far back as they go, (very flexible lets them go to shoulder level.
Found that slightly bending knees while doing the chickens reduces to takes away strain, pressure and pain. What else can be done to prevent the pain in chest and lower back? PS doctors said that eventually that I won't be able to walk do to damage and arthritis to back do to being beat up by baseball bats from boys when I was six. That means that there probably some back exercises that I'm to avoid unless people are wrong. I think that there is modified way of doing them. Please help.

Quite a coincidence that you uploaded this video. I seemed to have an issue with my sternum (I assume), it gives me discomfort which is only relieved when I stretch my arms and chest out and there is an audible click. The click seems to vary in location from the middle of the left pec to higher up. Also when I cough this restriction is highlighted and it gives me discomfort if I haven’t ‘clicked’ the chest. Is this some muscle tension caused by pull ups and push ups (I’m sure almost certainly yes) and how can I relieve this?

    • @briannacollins1442
      @briannacollins1442 3 года назад

I recommend seeing a chiropractor. The audible click you are hearing is likely you performing a self adjustment to get relief, a chiropractor can offer and more permanent resolution.
