I love this tutorial. Straight to the point no loud introductions and deafening music. Great job. I’m going to try a fabric room screen. Fingers crossed for me. It’s huge and intimidating ☘️
Can't help but laugh at how on point you've been with doing videos on things I want to do lately! It's like I think one day "oh, I wanna do this and this" and then two days later there's a JRV video on it! 👌 😊 ❤️
Chop sticks are good for stuffing pillows and getting the fluff in the corners. The extra long cooking chopsticks are amazing for long pillows and making stuffed animals/dolls
That is so funny cuz I'm about to stencil some baskets that are like drawers and I was just wondering how to do it and how to heat set it and you literally just came out with a video LOL!! I love y'all so much!
I have been watching your show for quite some time. And finally I’m getting around to commenting. I admire you too working together as a couple. I hope we can meet you guys face-to-face someday in the future. Keep up the good work.I will be watching for you to show more videos about the work on your new home congratulations!
You know it's a two thumbs up for this video! I've made a few headboard benches that are in need of just a little more oomph! That type of pillow would be perfect. As always, keep up the Amazing work!!!👍👍👍
Another great and informative video.....love, love, love the pillows and chairs ......now for me to get my fanny moving and buy your stencils and paints and brushes and IOD's........ty for another great video
You two are looking FABULOUS!!! Thanks for another great video! (Can I also add that I love this whimsical intro music. Please don’t ever change it. LOL) 😊
Years ago I knew a lady who owned a cottage business who made all kinds of country textiles. She used a whole 2 story house, and hired people to craft. She apparently taught people to make her stuff. She stuffed with sewing scissors holding the stuffing, and got it into all the corners, and animal/dolls legs that way. So for Zeb there is another way.
So cute! I am still trying to think” glueing a pillow is okay”..... LOL!!! After sewing Pillows for, years for my Etsy Shop... glue...what??? Love these! I need to order paint, stencils, transfers ... brushes...OH MY. ( I want you to,have that fountain! AND pool ! ).
Do you do any other prep work on the drop cloth before stenciling? If my heart wasn't absolutely set on a dragon, what you have MAY change my mind...nah. I the farmhouse look, probably because everyone uses it. If your chairs have the fabric on the back, any ideas if I should do front or back? I am thinking back and seat.
I just ordered the grain sack and clock stencil, I couldn't pass up the stencil sale. I already own the Kroger one. I just feel like the grain sack on pillow covers will sell well! This video is very helpful to me!
You All need to visit med in Denmark, and go All in ,in my new house , practice for the new house 😂😂😂🤣😂😂 need Lots of dekor and stencils ❤️ need the Ray's touch ❤️❤️❤️
I just found you and I love what you do!! I'm moving into a new house and I want to do curtains for my kitchen with a similar motif...do you sell different stencils?? Omg !! This is exactly what I want to do.
What type of paint are you using and do you use medium with it or not and did you put any tacky spray on the back of the stencil before you put it down
Hey! Awesome video as always! Since I just got some stencils from you I was wondering if I could use a gray color of chalk paint and not give the stencil full coverage in order to give it a distressed look instead of sanding after? I just don’t trust myself not to mess it up by sanding. I guess I could do a small test first though.
Remember... Tell your customers, if your brush is not stiff, tape around the bristles and leave about 1/2" exposed. les or less. OH, That's me!!!!!!!!!!!
Painters tape doesn’t stick to fabric very well and you can get messy edges so I like to use the scotch tape. We sell the pillows in our shop for $29.00 if they have the IKEA feather insert in them.
Hi. I need help. I done some of my bathroom cabinets and trim in diy paint. What top coat do I use to keep it as velvety matte as possible ... I tried diy big top coat but didn’t like it ... please help someone I don’t wanna have to repaint with something else!!!!!!
Oooo this makes me so sad. Today my Lil C was delivered today and someone stole it from my mailbox. She said she delivered it (and I got my email it had been delivered) but when I went to ger it, no jamirayvintage.com box. I cried all day. The meany at the post office said it was my fault because I hadn't told the post office to hold packages for pick up only.... 😭
I went to your website and wanted some things. But, the items I had in my cart were not expensive and shipping was going to be $22! Whoa, that's way, way, way too much. So, I didn't buy the stuff. Why is it so expensive? I can't buy from you but would like to.
It’s what it costs to ship these days. Some things have a flat rate shipping or free shipping but other decor is higher shipping based on its size or shape
Ack! I can't believe you used hot glue!! Lol. I just about died when I saw you use the hot glue. Just topstitch the folded seam through your machine. No shame in that.
I love this tutorial. Straight to the point no loud introductions and deafening music. Great job. I’m going to try a fabric room screen. Fingers crossed for me. It’s huge and intimidating ☘️
Love this project and how the two of you work so well together!
The sound of washing the cushion and sanding...! just like fingernails on a chalkboard! Can't wait to get my paint and try this!!
Great pillows! I hot glue my drapes to get them the perfect length. Works great and no seams.
Love all the pillows and chair covers you did!! Thanks guys!!

I like the colored stripe with the grain sack stencil.

Great video! After completely stenciling the drop cloth and drying, it can be washed and the stenciling won't come off?
It can. We heat seal our stencils with an iron.
do you need to wash fabric before using colours?

Thanks!!!
Awesome
Thought this one might be up your alley.
Do you need a special fabric to iron on top of for the heat setting?
Nope, we just used more drop cloth. ❤️❤️
Coud sponge be used instead of brush?
What type of paint are you using and do you use medium with it or not and did you put any tacky spray on the back of the stencil before you put it down
DIY paint and I just use an iron to set it after 24 hours. I did use tacky spray.
could you use acrylic paint

LOVE🥰
Jami. How much bleach do you put in to brighten the fabric?
I love these so much!
about 2 cups with a single drop cloth in the load.
Jami Ray Vintage wow that as fast. Thank you!!
You caught me online answering RUclips comments. 😊
I bought the 11x14 seed transfer. I'm wondering if I can add some color with markers, paint? It's going on a mirror.
Sure can! Here’s a video we did on adding color to some stamps. Same concept.

Can you use the paint on clothes
Where do you get your fabric?
You could use a blow dryer too

@@JamiRayVintage Thanks so much!
Remember... Tell your customers, if your brush is not stiff, tape around the bristles and leave about 1/2" exposed. les or less. OH, That's me!!!!!!!!!!!
Hehe! ❤️❤️
Thank you fir that tip!
How do you keep the outlines neat? When I paint my testers, they've all come out with horrible messy outlines that mess up the look of my image
Offload your paint. Your brush should be almost dry
2 cups of bleach per drop clothe Do you run it thru a cycle or just soak and for how long?
Run through a cycle.
You could soak it as well but I’ve gone to just washing them with the bleach.
@@JamiRayVintage Thank you
Bellissimi
Grazie!
Oh and why masking tape over painters tape? And how much do you sell your finished ikea pillows for at your shop? Thanks! 🤗
Painters tape doesn’t stick to fabric very well and you can get messy edges so I like to use the scotch tape. We sell the pillows in our shop for $29.00 if they have the IKEA feather insert in them.
Can a fabric be washed after stencilling? Asking for a friend lol
Yes, we hear seal with an iron
Jami....those chairs could have come from my Grandfather’s dining room set!!
💖💖💖
Do you offer this service? If so how do i contact you?

Ok cool
Like what type of fabric paint did you use to paint on the velvet cloth
@@xkdasari diy paint. We sell it our website. After You stencil wait 24 hours and heatset with an iron
Thanks for the information
Why don't you have a Lehi Mills stencil?
ivonna.tinkle I don’t know but I should ❤️. I will add that to fall
Hi. I need help. I done some of my bathroom cabinets and trim in diy paint. What top coat do I use to keep it as velvety matte as possible ... I tried diy big top coat but didn’t like it ... please help someone I don’t wanna have to repaint with something else!!!!!!
Big Top is more of a satin sheen. We like top coat. It gives a matte sheen but can hold up to the humidity a bathroom can have.

Been using hot glue for years. Funny thing is I’ve had Sean’s break lose but never had the glue fail yet! 😂
Love it, but typical woman gets the job done in half the time it takes a man to do the same job😂😂😂😂. Only joking Zeb.
Lol. Done is better than perfect right? 😂
Love it!
