      @-BuddyGuy 7 месяцев назад

      @@aserlongas9819Ignorant comment. He bossed it over some unbelievable midfields in that era, and he's underrated as a player because he added zero flash to what he did. He still played accurate forward passes, was a very positive footballer, held possession easily in tight situations, and the vast majority of his tackles were clean. The only attribute that wasn't high was style, and that's why he was never recognised the way he deserved. He was one of the best midfielders in the world in his prime. People say Zidane was better but Keane outshone Zidane in the most important game they played against each other (Juventus 99).

  • @KryptonitetoallBS
    @KryptonitetoallBS 7 лет назад +173

    Roy Keane performed at a high level more often than any player in the history of the PL. Keane just didn't do bad games like some of his peers. He didn't have the natural talent of a Gascoigne or Le Tissier but he was a consistent 8 out of 10 in almost every game. And then occasionally he would throw in a 9.
    He also had that rare ability that Bryan Robson had in bucket-loads where he could transform the play of his team mates just by being there.
    In summary Roy Keane is THE most influential player the PL has ever seen. This is not a debate. No-one comes anywhere near his level of commitment and consistency over such a long period. He was the ultimate professional!!!

      Maradonna was the driving force behind his country winning the world cup in 1986. Messi is yet to perform consistently on the international stage.
      Maradonna was also the driving force behind Napoli's Italian league successes. That's the equivalent of winning the English league with Stoke.
      Messi won competitions with Barcelona? He was greatly helped by playing in front of Xavi and Iniesta.

    Roy Keane is one of my favourite players ever. He could turn a losing game into a win - the most famous example of this being in the 1999 Champions League semi-final v Juventus - where he became known as 'the legend of Turin'. Manchester United were losing 2-0 until Keane 'took the game by the horns' and scored a vital 'Captains goal'. United went on to win 3-2 and then the Treble (including the Champions League) that season and the rest is history. Roy Keane -Priceless!

    Keane was never a hard man
    Other players just didn't act the way he did so he thought trying to be hard and other players not reacting made him look hard .
    Viera would of smashed him up
    Shearer wasn't scared
    Like to of seen him behave like that with the likes of Vinnie Jones

    I never really classed Keane as a "hard man". He was a bit of a thug, like Vinny Jones - trying to intimidate the weaker players with cheap shots.
    But players like Gerrard, and Viera and Shearer used to just push him around
