Highland Cathedral (1982)

"Highland Cathedral" (Scottish Gaelic: Cathair-eaglais na Gàidhealtachd) is a popular melody for the Great Highland Bagpipe.
This melody was composed by German musicians Ulrich Roever and Michael Korb in 1982 for a Highland games held in Germany.
It has been proposed as the Scottish national replacing unofficial anthems "Scotland the Brave" and/or "Flower of Scotland".
It has subsequently undergone several orchestrations and texts have been added in English and in Scottish Gaelic.

Deze melodie werd gecomponeerd door de Duitse musici Ulrich Roever en Michael Korb in 1982 voor een Highland Games gehouden in Duitsland.
Het is voorgesteld als het Schotse volkslied ter vervanging van onofficiële volksliederen "Scotland the Brave" en/of "Flower of Scotland".
Het heeft vervolgens verschillende orkestraties ondergaan en er zijn teksten toegevoegd in het Engels en in het Schots-Gaelisch.
