This method of screwing the tool in place applies to many other situations where a high required torque is accompanied by the risk of the tool to cam out. Hyperglide cassette removal tool, tapered bottom bracket removal tool also benefit from finding a way to hold them in place.
with ST BB, it is a lifesaver. I mean, splinesaver 😀
SICK Spokes 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Third hand, this slang on our local, means thief.
Six Sick Spokes!
These spokes need to retire for sure.
Very clever
A video of detailed servicing of the free hub body, please? Mine stopped locking and spins freely now both ways...
It evolved into Freecoaster hub! Be happy about it! People tend to pay huge amount of money for that
@@3CityRide interested in buying, perhaps?
He has this video on his channel
The way you terminate the 'g' in 'thing' . . . very common with Europeans!
In my country the third hand means something else more sexual 😂
No detailed video like this curretly on youtube 👌👍
i did this with an easton road hub. bearings flew everywhere. i ended up buying new wheels. camapgnolo zonda
so sick again!
I would never usually service this type of freehub body. On shimano wheels and most oem wheels replacement freehub bodies are available readily and the cost of bearings and labour time to service a body outweighs the cost of a new body. When they haven’t already failed they can be flushed with solvent and relubricated with phil wood’s tenacious oil, JA Stein sells a tool to aid in this.
In order to replace the freehub body, you'd need to unscrew it in the first place, right? And this video is exactly about that.
Good point about flushing/relubing it in-place. Whenever possible, this should be preferred to this whole hassle.

BS
Why are the spokes bent at the hub flanges? Is this a way to bed them in to the spoke holes?
Probably the chain dropped from the cassette. And some hard pedalling along with it 😅
@@Cobretti_GTI That would make sense. Thanks for the reply!
they are toast.
