Yes. You can add warm water, boiling water might pre cook your flour. Add warm water. Sometimes even you can add warm milk to make them Softer and especially if kids will be eating it.
I recently bought cuisinart 8 cup food processor and tried kneading the dough but it’s sticking to the stem adapter of the base.Does this happen to you? What’s the trick to prevent it from happening?
It’s from cuisineart. It’s really an old food processor, probably like 8-10 years old. But I have used this technique on lot of other brands and works fairly well.
Hi, here is the link for chapati (indian whole wheat bread) I made from the dough. ruclips.net/video/IJTznEkFqnU/видео.html This is one of the first videos that grabbed YT attention so making dough followed it.
This one is from Cuisinart. This model is not manufactured anymore, I am using this one for last 6-7 years. But any food processor with the blades looking like the one from video work.
It’s dough to make Indian bread called roti. But you can use this with method and add more ingredients like yeast, salt or any additional grains for baking bread too.
Just try adding little bit more water. Every dough is different but I have seen if we add 1 cup flour and 3/4 cup water to begin and slowly add the water, you will know what’s ideal for the type of flour you use. Give it a try. It’s life saving.
Great vid. Clear instructions and straight to the point.
Thank you

Hey Charu! Thax for your video and I have a question! How much watts is your food processor? Is 450 watts enough for kneading bread dough?
Yes it should be enough. Mine is 350 watts and it works just fine. Make sure you try on lowest mode.
@@11charu11 Thax so much for your answer☺ It helps a lot!
Excellent tutorial. Just right. Thank you.
Thank you
There was no mention of yeast, why?
thanks
Can one use boiling water as most roti recipes call to add boiling water
Yes. You can add warm water, boiling water might pre cook your flour. Add warm water. Sometimes even you can add warm milk to make them
Softer and especially if kids will be eating it.
is plain flour/all purposr flour goes with this recipe?
This is whole wheat flour. All purpose flour also works well with this recipe.
I recently bought cuisinart 8 cup food processor and tried kneading the dough but it’s sticking to the stem adapter of the base.Does this happen to you? What’s the trick to prevent it from happening?
Try to adjust water quantity, try with little bit less water and run it for little bit more time and see if it helps.
Thanks for share the video

Can you mention the name of the brand that you used?

I have another video on how to roll a chapati. That’s Indian flat bread I made from this dough. You can check the channel.
It would have been good to see what you made with dough.

Can’t adjust the speed on my food processor - it’s either on, pulse or off
Youl can try just by keeping it on. “ON” if the dough is stuck, try pulse for couple of times
What brand Atta did you use? Keep up the great work 👍
Cuisinart probably.
I use Sohum lokwan atta. Sometimes Sujata gold atta.
What size food processor did you use - How many cups does it hold?
This is an 8 cup food processor. This one is pretty old and I guess they stopped making this model, but mine is still working well.
@11charu11 Thank you so much. Do you have a video showing the next step? Do you let sit or put in refrigerator over night?
Can i do this to my bread dough?
Yes totally.
Yeast???
So good, thanks.
Thank you!
Which food processor is this? Which model?
This one is from Cuisinart. This model is not manufactured anymore, I am using this one for last 6-7 years. But any food processor with the blades looking like the one from video work.
Hmm. Where is the yeast?
It’s dough to make Indian bread called roti. But you can use this with method and add more ingredients like yeast, salt or any additional grains for baking bread too.
when do you add the yeast to make it rise?
This is the dough for making roti (Indian bread) that doesn’t need yeast.
That attachment isn't made for mixing dough, the motor will eventually burn out,
Not really. I have been using my food processor for over 7 years now.
I will try but for dough is a different attachment.
My dough became so hard

At 80yr OLD I can do a lot more than make bread dough, you know what I mean?
I said 8 year old. I would never underestimate an 80 year old.
the sound is not good I am quite disappointed
I am sorry for your disappointment. I am shooting videos with my phone and limited resources in my free time. I will try to do my best.
The sound is perfect for me, thank you for taking the time to show this 🎉
What about yeast?
This is for Indian bread called roti or naan. We don’t use yeast.
