- We're checking out Manila's HOTTEST ramen shop - Ramen Ron! At their big Rockwell location we're trying three differently delicious ramen:
- Spicy Tantanmen
- Rich Tsukemen (Dipping Ramen)
- Silky Smooth Tonkotsu (Pork Bone) Ramen
After the hat trick, I let you which one is my favorite. We're also going inside the kitchen to see them make each one!

I am glad you were record longer clips of the bowls!! I know japan social norms doesn’t let you record longer videos of the bowls you eat there but it nice to see you show us more video of the ramen!

Oooh these look good, I love doubanjiang so my mouth was watering looking at the soup. The hot stone snoopy is also such a fun idea! I've never been to Manila, but will definitely mark this down as a spot I'd like to visit!

Awesome. Been waiting for this. How does this compare with Nakiryu (tantanmen) and tomita (tsukemen) in Japan?
Hey Frank, I watched your videos before and currently watching your Kyushu series and much prefer this format. On the kyushu series I felt like you just glossed over the ramens even though you are explaining what you ate. Maybe I am a visual person but If you could include location, some shots outside and inside, chefs cooking, serving, anything interesting, your reaction while eating etc. Anyway just a thought.
Japanese restaurants, particularly ramen restaurants, tend to not allow filming inside and it can be hard to get permission. This video was done in the Philippines, so it might've been easier.
Yes, it's usually harder in Japan unless I contact the ramen shops ahead of time and arrange filming for when they're on their break. Also, Philippine ramen shops shops are much bigger than in Japan! In Japan, it's pretty much eat and get out (part of the etiquette).
Do make it a point to try Mendokoro Ramenba, please let us know how does it compare with the best ramens in Japan.
