Got my 43 a year ago. Its a great tv for the money. Viewing angles are not that good but you can make the colors pop in settings and then its better if you are watching from the side. I also run my pc on it and i can say gaming on 1440p looks very sharp. Almost the same as 4k. I dont really use much things so this tv is fine for me i hope it works long!

If anyone is expecting this tv to be world beater then they need to think again because it is not. Does it have OLED blacks? No. Does it have QD Color? No. Does it have all the bells and whistles of the high end tvs? No. But what it does have is nice blacks, great color, great lag times for gaming, great build quality and when you watch Blu ray content whether its in 4K or 1080p you will love it. Same goes with streaming in 4K ect. Is the HDR bright enough to sear your eyes? No but it does its job to the best of its capabilities. A friend of mine has this tv and I think for what you pay you get a damn good tv. I know I am going to get the 65inch version to be a backup to my 55inch LG OLED B10. Am I going to compare the 2 sets and expect the Samsung to beat it? Hell no!! That would be stupid. But when I get it I am going to enjoy the hell out of it thats for sure. That being said. Steve you have one of the most underrated channels on RUclips. Your videos are great and not always geared toward the high end tv's ect unlike other channels who lets be honest get kickbacks as I call it to get free stuff and money from the manufacturers for promoting the high end tvs. You do an excellent job with your reviews and you now have a new subscriber in me. Happy Holidays my friend.

I can't believe that it is already three years old now but I've really enjoyed it and the budget price tag compared to many other big screen televisions. My TV has a lot of the same limitations but it's a lot of bang for the buck. I used picture settings that I found from rtings for my model and it's worked out well. It's also a great TV for gaming, no lag that I can perceive.

If you use this as a PC monitor you'll need to set your video card drivers to YCbCr 4:4:4 instead of RGB. while it will display an RGB signal the gamma on the green channel is incorrect (you can see this on a per channel gamma calibration image) Technically the colorspace is a little different with YCbCr but it won't be noticeable unless you are doing something professional and you wouldn't be using an HDTV as a monitor in that case anyway. (EDIT this could be an issue between AMD GPUs and Samsung TVs but I doubt it)
Set HDMI port to PC mode (or let it auto detect)
/General / Game Mode: On (disables all "image enhancement" which is what you want for a console or PC display)
/General / eco solution: disable everything.
    /Picture
    Picture Size Settings: 16:9
/Picture/expert settings. Greyed out items skipped, they don't apply to PC/Game mode.
    Brightness 45
    Contrast 50
Sharpness 10 (in PC mode / game mode less than 10 softens and more than 10 sharpens, for a PC you want no sharpening, so 10)
Color tone: Standard (or cool if you prefer)

Hey Steve, update for you! I just got the 65inch TU7000 (2021 model). Messed around with it last night and freaking LOVE IT! The PQ is unreal. I ran some screen test's for dirty screen effect ect and it looks like a clean panel with little to no blooming. Black levels are very very good. As good as my OLED B10? No. But its not fair to compare any LED tv to OLED period. The sound is amazing as well, in fact better then I thought. As far as HDR is concerned? Its not the best but I didnt expect it to be honestly but for me its passable. I watch alot of SDR content anyway so its all good. But the TU7000 is a great tv for me so far and it's a great backup to my LG B10 OLED thats currently sitting in storage due to my wife and I are gonna be looking for our own place at the beginning of the new year. When I get my OLED all setup and running my TU7000 will be our bedroom tv or moved to a guest room. But I tell you this it aint going anywhere because its a great tv and your the reason Steve I picked up! Oh and the 2021 TU7000's did indeed get the Tizen 6.0 update.

2 interesting facts, I just had a bad experience with 2 of these tvs in the 43" size, one 2020 version and one 2021 version. Between the 2 versions the rear panel inputs were vastly different in configuration and yours again has a different configuration of where the inputs are..I find that very odd.
As well, I've never ever have seen tabs on any Samsung tv for the plastic film to be removed..I've just always removed the bezel film..am I wrong?..also why so many different input configurations?..just curious.

Coming from a 27" IPS professional monitor, i imagine this display would be a downgrade in terms of picture quality? Looks like there's a lot of dim backlighting in the corners or the viewing angles are not great, like at 6:07. The gloss screen would probably be a negative as well.

I’m aware that it’s lower resolution. By going in and manually selecting 1080p 120hz you are giving the viewer the impression that the television has native 120hz support at 1080p and I don’t believe that is the case with this particular model. It is a native 60hz panel. My question is, is the set actually capable of 1080p 120hz or is the system allowing you to select it even though the TV doesn’t support that refresh rate. That’s what I’m trying to ascertain from you.

I have a 2014 Samsung TV that has many of these features, but the remote doesn't always work other devices. Sometimes it does, and sometimes not. I have it hooked up to a receiver, but if I turn another device on first(say Roku), the TV switches to TV speakers. (It used to work fine) If I have to turn TV power on first, it stays on receiver. Resetting didn't help. I would like a TV with more HDMI inputs, but I do like Samsung better than other brands for similar price. (I have looked at a lot of reviews)
Now I have a bright spot on the TV. I have looked at videos on how to fix it, but it is a 55in, but I'm afraid I may break something trying to take it apart & back together. I also have it on a tall corner style entertainment center shelf, to keep it out of reach of grandkids.

Not the 2020 TU700, I have had 4 updates so far! Last update was this past September! This last update 2303 I can’t seem to find out what’s in the update, I’ve look everywhere at the TV and tried looking online.
-Does anyone know where to find out what’s in these TV updates???? I’d really appreciate it someone knew lol I’ve checked everywhere including Samsungs website… meanwhile they don’t even tell you what’s in the update!!!
