If you use this as a PC monitor you'll need to set your video card drivers to YCbCr 4:4:4 instead of RGB. while it will display an RGB signal the gamma on the green channel is incorrect (you can see this on a per channel gamma calibration image) Technically the colorspace is a little different with YCbCr but it won't be noticeable unless you are doing something professional and you wouldn't be using an HDTV as a monitor in that case anyway. Coming from a 27" IPS professional monitor, i imagine this display would be a downgrade in terms of picture quality? Looks like there's a lot of dim backlighting in the corners or the viewing angles are not great, like at 6:07. The gloss screen would probably be a negative as well.
Comments online would have you avoid this TV like the plague, but I’m having trouble finding something better at 50” around the $400 price point. The closest would be something like the TCL 4 Series but from what I’ve seen, this TV should edge it out in a couple places. Is there anything else worth checking out at 50” around the $400 price point? This is at the top of my budget for a secondary TV that’s just going in our office.

Hey Steve, love the Vids, keep them coming. My question is, have you reviewed the Samsung 65” DU6900 Crystal 4K UHD Smart TV ?, this is offered here in Ontario Canada
So I’ve seen people say this tv can’t play Dolby atmos but yet with some apps on the tv it will tell you when things have Dolby atmos or just the 5.1 channel. I guess what I’m asking is how can a tv that don’t support Dolby atmos supposedly, can still play Dolby atmos
I noticed that the 43 inch Samsung TV will not have a bass port at the bottom and the bass delivered will not be good. But from 50 inches or more, there is a bass port at the bottom, so the bass output will be better! I don't know why? I am using a 43inch QLED Q60T TV and the bass it gives is really not good!

@@TechSteve I’m aware that it’s lower resolution. By going in and manually selecting 1080p 120hz you are giving the viewer the impression that the television has native 120hz support at 1080p and I don’t believe that is the case with this particular model. It is a native 60hz panel. My question is, is the set actually capable of 1080p 120hz or is the system allowing you to select it even though the TV doesn’t support that refresh rate. That’s what I’m trying to ascertain from you.

Just bought this TV yesterday, but the remote is giving us problems. It operates the volume/source/on-off (ie all of the actual TV functions), but it doesn't change the channel through our cable box. Any body notice global dimming effect on hdr games? Brighhtness go low on dark scenes n when day scene it goes up ,like when u enter a house or a cave or exit u will see transition between scenes( its not eco option , fake global dimming effect)
I have a 2014 Samsung TV that has many of these features, but the remote doesn't always work other devices. Sometimes it does, and sometimes not. I have it hooked up to a receiver, but if I turn another device on first(say Roku), the TV switches to TV speakers. (It used to work fine) If I have to turn TV power on first, it stays on receiver. Resetting didn't help. I would like a TV with more HDMI inputs, but I do like Samsung better than other brands for similar price. (I have looked at a lot of reviews) Now I have a bright spot on the TV. I have looked at videos on how to fix it, but it is a 55in, but I'm afraid I may break something trying to take it apart & back together. I also have it on a tall corner style entertainment center shelf, to keep it out of reach of grandkids.
I would love if they repositioned the Samsung logo back in the center of the TV for their future models. I just can’t get over the new models with the logo off to one side.
One thing I noticed is the 2020 version supported hdr gaming for Xbox. This one in the Xbox 4K tv details it says it does not support hdr gaming. How come that changed?
Hi Steve, thanks for the great reviews. for upward converting 720p and 1080p contents, is Samsung M7 (latest version LS43BM702UNXZA) or this u7000 better? also, with fiber optic home wifi, will m7 or u7000 has less lagging issues when watching Netflix? thanks

This SAMAUNG 2020 TU7000 Does now have Tizen 6.0, also the latest update now it at this specific time I am making this comment is Update VERSION 2303 I was so surprised that Samsung actually gave this tv more then two updates Facts being most TVs only get 1-2 updates max and then their forever forgotten about! Not the 2020 TU700, I have had 4 updates so far! Last update was this past September! This last update 2303 I can’t seem to find out what’s in the update, I’ve look everywhere at the TV and tried looking online. -Does anyone know where to find out what’s in these TV updates???? I’d really appreciate it someone knew lol I’ve checked everywhere including Samsungs website… meanwhile they don’t even tell you what’s in the update!!!
got the 70 inch version from costco. Does the job well for most multimedia/streamable content. My only complaints are the slow tizen user interface and the older style remote with no back lighting and over crowding of buttons near the D pad buttons. Frequently will miss press the samsung tv button when im trying to press the left or down d pad button.
I have the 65 inch version but my HDMI cables aren’t fitting in the hdmi ports. They fit into my other Samsung TV but for some reason I can’t connect a PS5, PS4, or Xbox One X. What gives?
I purchased the 70 inch one on black friday and its one the best TV i had so far but its not letting me update and get HBO. Do you know why? Thanks in advance
Just bought this TV and I am not impressed. Even played a Blu-Ray ( Terminator 3) thinking it would be better. Picture was just ok but could tell the clarity was off when some of the credits were on the screen in the beginning of the film. I bought this for watching Blu-Ray movies and sports but I will be taking it back. Just setting up was a pain also but I guess the days are gone when you can just plug up your TV and go. I have played Blu-Rays on my other TV and they look great.

As well, I've never ever have seen tabs on any Samsung tv for the plastic film to be removed..I've just always removed the bezel film..am I wrong?..also why so many different input configurations?..just curious.
I have no idea
Which is the 2021 version? all the TU7000 TVs say 2020
Just ordered a 58" for about 400$ hopefully it isn't garbage lol I haven't EVER had luck buying TVs but I've also cheaped out and always bought Hisense and other crap brands
I see the TU7000 at Walmart/Best Buy and the TU700D at Sam's Club. Is there a difference?
Samsung 50" 4K UHD HDR LED Tizen Smart TV (UN50TU7000FXZC) vs 2022 TCL 5 Series QLED which one would you go for? is the Qled going to be better?
Tech Steve en busca de tvs de 50" y 500$, cuales serian las mejores 3 o 2 opciones de aqui, con menos blooming, menos clouding, y sin "pantalla sucia": TCL P715, Samsung AU8000, Samsung Q60A, Xiaomi P1, LG UP7750, LG Nano75, Hisense A6G, Philips PUD7625, Sony X805G, Panasonic HX550, LG UN8000. Saludos desde Perú.
Coming from a 27" IPS professional monitor, i imagine this display would be a downgrade in terms of picture quality? Looks like there's a lot of dim backlighting in the corners or the viewing angles are not great, like at 6:07. The gloss screen would probably be a negative as well.
Yo this guy is strong competition to MKBHD. Why don't I see more of him on the airwaves?
I have 2 Tu7000 and a TU8000 … great tv so far.
That refreshing to hear, the comments are all over the place. Samsung are you listening, lol
What's the difference between them in picture quality?
Comments online would have you avoid this TV like the plague, but I’m having trouble finding something better at 50” around the $400 price point. The closest would be something like the TCL 4 Series but from what I’ve seen, this TV should edge it out in a couple places. Is there anything else worth checking out at 50” around the $400 price point? This is at the top of my budget for a secondary TV that’s just going in our office.
This is a great TV for the money from the #1 brand. However it’s not perfect so don’t expect the world
@@TechSteve yeah for an office TV, I have pretty low expectations. Going to see if the Hisense U6G will hit $400 before the Super Bowl since I’m not in a huge rush. Great channel!
Yes! Stream was be awesome! And I have this tv in my extra rooms (2) and family member love it! Purchased them Dec 2020! Thank you!
I just bought this TV, 55" and it was between this or the Vizio M7 Quatum. I'm not impressed with the resolution of the TV compared to what it looks like on the display at Walmart and Best Buy. I've gone through all the setting to get it working with my firestick as far as the resolution even with my PS4. Still nothing like what it looks like on display with the 4K. Which tv is better to you?
I've had the 55" for around 18 months now..Great TV. Could be a little brighter but I adjusted that through my AVR.
I have the Samsung tu700d 50 tv and this problem i have I'm trying to put my screen setup to a "small screen 4:3" and it is not showing up idk why and I'm also trying to use 4 by 3 on my Playstation 5 and i don't know how to adjust to 4:3 do you know how if yes thank you 🙂 on my community channel I'll show a picture of the size setting
How can I Change the Picture Size of my Samsung TV?
1 Press the HOMEbutton on the remote.
2 Select " Settings"
3 Select " Picture"
4 Select " Picture Size Settings"
5 Select " Picture Size"
6 You can select the picture size displayed on the TV screen. ! Supported picture sizes differ with the input signal.
Samsung TU7000 vs Hisense 55" R6 Series 4K seen both in store Hisense pic was better with stock pic setting to me in store not saying the Samsung TU7000 cant be calibrated to perform better this tv is for my son who games mostly witch one would you say is the better buy he has a ps4 and will be getting a ps5 soon thanks any help would be greatly appreciated
Thank you for the helpful information. Which one you think is better the Q60B or the TU7000?
I already know this one’s gonna blow up
Was there an update to the tv in question? Cause I recently bought it but the menu looks way different on mine
Does this samsung tv have wide fit and screen fit in the picture display settings like the older models? Like older models have picture size 16.9, 4.3, wide fit, screen fit and zoom? Does this tv have the same thing as the older models? Like older models had screen adjustment setting in the picture settings.
Hi Steve ihave the option of buying Samsung Tu7000 or Au8000 which one is better 🤔
And does it has play store
Thank you
Hey Steve, love the Vids, keep them coming. My question is, have you reviewed the
Samsung 65” DU6900 Crystal 4K UHD Smart TV ?, this is offered here in Ontario Canada
I haven’t seen it here in the US only the DU7200
Question is what would you get this tv or the Vizio m series quantum m50q6-jo1 50 inch
If you look at the end of the video, there’s a switch that says Dolby Atmos in the menu
Hey steve im looking for a soundbar for my 65" samsung tv just could'nt find the right one any recommendation
Buy a Soundbar with HDMI and you’ll never look back
Bright 45 contrast 50 color 35 Contrast Enhancer High blues 3 red 2 and low tone all auto or off
Hey Teck Steve, I have a Samsung 4K TV TU7000 series, I have my PS5, and Xbox series X hook up on the back of the TV, but there's no more HDMI ports, I also have a PS3, and a Wii U, and a old Sony Blu-ray Disc/DVD Home Theater system BDV-E570, are all HDMI Switch are compatible with this TV and what is the best HDMI switch I should have? If you don't mind, can you recommend me one too get. I'm really not a tech guy😅
What this, links to buy are in the description ruclips.net/video/MEszTEwT8gE/видео.htmlsi=L6ng4jZYdm4ycwTn
You're a Master among fleas on YT, good Sir. Been researching TVs for a while and now I'm getting this one. Thank, big man.
You’re welcome and thank you
Hey just upgraded my flat screen. It's been almost 10 plus years but I have a JVC Class Premiere I think. I'm a simple guy but I'm trying to figure out the best picture settings overall it's a really nice 1080 TV sound is a little low
How do I know which model supports 1080p 120hz? The model available at my local Best Buy says it is a native 60hz panel. Pretty confusing.
@@TechSteve In your video you chose 1080p 120hz? How are you doing that on a 60hz panel?
@@TechSteve
I’m aware that it’s lower resolution.
@@TechSteve
Lol what bro. Have a good day man
Thanks to you I buy TU700D 65” Costco Version , thanks 🤗
Hey Man!!! Cool content Thx!!!.....quick question on this model please....not sure if you can, maybe not, but here.......ANY WAY to launch TEAMVIEWER QuickSupport for remote access to this TV or not?......... I tried to install it via the INTERNET Icon option, it did downloaded it supposedly onto the TV, choosing the GOOGLE PLAY option given by results [all this on a client's TV that is].....Tried to launch it, but nothing....I know this Model is NOT Android based, but ANY WAY to get TeamViewer working in it to connect to it via a mobile device or not?....Thx.
Hey Steve, which tv do you like better Samsung Tu7000 or LG Q8000
Great videos and very easy to follow ! Congrats !!
Is this a software update or this is another model than tu7000 2020??? I has a tu8500 2020, can i set a 1080p120hz on it?
All applications same on a Model Year 2020 (43")? My Samsung TV died and offered warrantee replacement of TU700DFXZA
Wow thank you, i was just looking to buy one of this tv and made it easy purchase for me.
Hi, I just bought this tv. At setup screen, I can see tv is slight dark/ shadow or something all along the boundary of screen. Is this normal or a faulty screen? Please help. Thanks.
Does the tu7000 have google assistant app for voice commands?
Nope
@@TechSteve thanks for the reply. Kinda bummed it's not getting that app as an update :/
Nope because it doesn’t have the software or the voice remote, you have to get the 8000 series
Thanks for the videos. I have a tu8000 and I realized that HDR content are much darker and have less contrast
Yes, its the same as the 7000 with more inputs snd features
Can u manually turn off HDR on the tv n watch 4k content without hdr
No it’s controlled by the source
I just bought this n tv n I love it so much n I was just wondering how do u turn on the led on the back of the television?
Hi Steve, do you prefer this or the A6H?
What you guys can say abour buy this tv or samsung AU8000DF? Which one recommend it more? Please help me
Great review , I just watched a different video on this tv and he had no information on it in the whole video 😮

Hi! I have a Vizio V Series 70” but live streaming sucks!! Will this samsung be any better?? Or is there a way I can fix the Vizio??
What video adjustments lessen the mirrorlike quality?
Just bought this tv yesterday in 58’ I play mw2 it’s 🔥
Just bought this TV yesterday, but the remote is giving us problems. It operates the volume/source/on-off (ie all of the actual TV functions), but it doesn't change the channel through our cable box. We set up the tv with the cable box, but I have to be two feet from the tv for the channels to change. What can I do to fix this? Thanks!
Press the home, go to source, universal remote and walkthrough the setup wizard
New to the channel! Fantastic video….would you recommend this for a bargain gamer tv?
looking to buy this @ costco..55" model....It is going into a bright room..Will there be reflections from ambient window lights ( not direct sun )...i know night time performance will be fine, if not it goes back
It's their basic 4K TV don't have high expectations
@@TechSteve i will hook it up and see what happens...use it for a month and most likely it gets driven to nearest Costco.....thx 4 reply
has anybody here removed the protective film from the screen for this model? Just got this TV but the image quality looks opaque and a lot of refleccion so I think this could be because of the protective film but I am not sure whether or not this is removable.
Check this out eu.community.samsung.com/t5/community-newsroom/how-to-remove-the-protective-film-from-your-new-tv/ba-p/3629197
I just got the Samsung AU8000 65IN got it cheaper than Black Friday I wouldn't got it so big but I needed to because if my eyes. I get one eye left I want to ask a question what insurance do you prefer Best buy insurance or square trade
(I have looked at a lot of reviews)
Now I have a bright spot on the TV.
I know right
Wa wa
Love you’re videos keep up the good work. ☺️ Happy holidays to you and yours ☺️🎄
Back at ya
considering this one but can you do a video on the so far black friday tv's this year would help a lot
I’m trying to find wall mount screws for 65’’ tv. What’s the size of screws that fit the holes behind the tv?
Most models uses M8
is movie judder less on the samsung tu 7000 or the lg un 7000?
do you think this is better then the amazon omni tv the omni is now on sale for 499.99
I don’t really like how dark it is while watching Netflix, is there a way for me to fix that? My hisense just broke on me so I upgraded to Samsung.
Make sure the auto brightness is off
One thing I noticed is the 2020 version supported hdr gaming for Xbox. This one in the Xbox 4K tv details it says it does not support hdr gaming. How come that changed?
It has hdr
Can you use a converter adapter or splitter to get 120 hz usage?
No
you cant get 120hz via an adapter or anything like that. Thats like saying that you can get 400+ hp on your compact car if you add 91 octane gasoline
Hi Steve, thanks for the great reviews. for upward converting 720p and 1080p contents, is Samsung M7 (latest version LS43BM702UNXZA) or this u7000 better? also, with fiber optic home wifi, will m7 or u7000 has less lagging issues when watching Netflix? thanks
The upscaling is meant for 1080p to 4k
@@TechSteve thanks for your reply
Hello Tech Steve. I just got this tv not that long ago and none of my HDMI cables work for this TV. i have a PS4, Xbox one, and a fire stick to no avail. If the HDMI port is damaged what should I be looking for?
Haven’t ever seen a hdmi not working
A new TV.
Should I go with this or the LG UP700, will mostly will use for gaming and netflix
I don't think I compared them
This SAMAUNG 2020 TU7000 Does now have Tizen 6.0, also the latest update now it at this specific time I am making this comment is Update VERSION 2303 I was so surprised that Samsung actually gave this tv more then two updates Facts being most TVs only get 1-2 updates max and then their forever forgotten about!
Costco has some great deals on these Samsung TU7000 TVs [as of November 2022]--with 'free' shipping.
Or you can use my links in the description
How can I put ambient mode on my Samsung TV, I saw your video that you post photos and they are in motion. How do you do it?
The Tu7000 doesn’t have that mode
I have the 65 inch version but my HDMI cables aren’t fitting in the hdmi ports. They fit into my other Samsung TV but for some reason I can’t connect a PS5, PS4, or Xbox One X. What gives?
Look with a flashlight and see if it’s damaged
How did you get the 4k option? I’ve been messing with the settings and I don’t have the option. Is it the hdmi cable that’s wrong?
The content that I play is how I got it, it’s not 4k on a hd source
I purchased the 70 inch one on black friday and its one the best TV i had so far but its not letting me update and get HBO. Do you know why? Thanks in advance
Did you login into the Samsung account
@@TechSteve yes i did.
I have no idea why you can’t update the app, I would call Samsung or factory reset
The power cable came from the TV and I can’t figure out how to put it back in without taking the TV off the wall. Any advice?
I have the 85’ but the sounds system is very low any recommendations ?
I purchased a tu7020 yesterday but cannot get the remote to control my satellite box or playstation. Any suggestions would be appreciated 🙂
Use the connection guide built into the Tv under source
I have the same tv and out of no where one day it just shut off on me. It’s about a year old now. Any tips?
Just bought this TV and I am not impressed. Even played a Blu-Ray ( Terminator 3) thinking it would be better. Picture was just ok but could tell the clarity was off when some of the credits were on the screen in the beginning of the film. I bought this for watching Blu-Ray movies and sports but I will be taking it back. Just setting up was a pain also but I guess the days are gone when you can just plug up your TV and go. I have played Blu-Rays on my other TV and they look great.
It’s a budget model maybe you’re expecting more
@@TechSteve yes,I was.
Do you recommend the 120hz instead of the 4k for games. And does 120hz take life span from the TV itself. Thank you.
It personal preference, i wouldn’t know about life span that’s unknown
