The M1 is just a dongle to run OSX. It runs less, faster. Apple cant make an M2 chip so are looking at Risc-V instead. Youve bought an expensive experiment. The new Mac pros are Intel lol. Apple have around 10% of the desktop market, Intel and AMD have the rest. Corporates wont buy M1 machines because they cant run Windows properly. There is no licence for Windows ARM
@@zicadibrove4119 ur smoking some wacky backy my friend. The definition for "new" is "already existing but seen, experienced, or acquired recently or now for the first time", i.e, already out. As I stated, Apple has only around 10% of the desktop market. If you were correct, the M1 would be big news. Its not. A year has passed and it cant scale up. Apple had to release the M1x which is only slightly better. So wheres the M2? Only Apple is trying to push ARM on desktop. No one else is because of the compatability problems caused. Thats why Apple is best sticking to phones rather than desktop. They arnt a competitor anymore. ARM is in trouble, its being sold to NVIDIA. Apple hates them. Thats why Apple is looking at RISC-V, you dont even know what that is. You stick to your fantasies my friend lol. As for ARM being the future, its over 20 years old. Apple are behind the times my friend. You seem to belive only the marketing but bear in mind that 10%, not much is it? Intel and AMD have much better available than the M1. Thats why corporates arnt buying anything M1 based. Its a dead end. Any software bought for it only runs on Apple M1. Not good for anyone. Especially if Apple ditch ARM and go for RISC-V.
Alder Lake is looking quite good in terms of raw performance. It's likely going to ding AMD for a while until they can come up with their next big thing. I don't know if 3D chips with much more cache is going to be enough. Intel is really cranking up the prices for Alder Lake as well and I think that's going to leave a pretty sour taste with consumers. And, it's unclear how much power Alder Lake chips will use to get all of that compute power. It's possible that it takes an outrageous amount of power to hit those great benchmarks. I saw the prices in Europe yesterday and .... no thanks. With having to buy MB, RAM, GPU, PSU, big cooler and the currently grossly related prices, I'm thinking that M1X Macs are a bargain in comparison.
The usual "intel didn't actually mention anything related to their chips" was my favourite part. Just some "features" that other manufacturers offer in products that happen to contain their chips. Weird that AMD doesn't seem as worried about Apple.
@@KipVaughan On the one hand I agree with you but that’s also an Achilles heel. When you have the same company making the OS running on its hardware you’re going to have better integration. If I thought windows stacked up against Mac OS I would buy the Surface, a non-upgradable piece of hardware.

Nah, Intel is actually thinking more long term here. They believe they can eventually one-up AMD at some point and get back on top of the PC game, but if Apple takes over a big chunk of the PC market, that's a segment they're never getting back and they're fighting for a smaller piece of the pie.
@@yarnosh i don’t see that happening though. Intel still has a chance to beat AMD if they can outperform their specs. They still have a massive chunk of the PC market. That’s why I have an M1 Macbook. Even if I was to buy a PC, it would have an AMD Inside. This Intel ad just reinforces my decisions, thanks Intel 👍
Exactly it lasts me full day of charge in the morning i go to college and in the evening i come back with almost 10% of battery. With an intel pc i get only 5 hours and searching for an outlet mid class
I have an intel chip in my gaming pc and it's really crappy, they can't optimise chips for crap.

@@byzaha1238 if you plan on gaming, getting a macbook isn’t exactly going to be the best option. many games aren’t even playable on macos, along with hardware that is better being than the macbooks on desktops.
The whole second display thing makes literally no sense. Incredibly un-ergonomic for one thing, since you have to then stare down at your keyboard in order to use it. And why take up keyboard real estate with something like that? Just hook up to an external monitor if you need that second screen so desperately
That's adorable.
When you'd like to get a real fast, cool running laptop, with a battery that lasts, come on to the windows PC side, you can save money to!

“The M1 chip absolutely cremates intel chips, actually the M1 doesn’t have to because the intel runs so hot by itself” that got me 😂😂
The M1 is just a dongle to run OSX.
@@zicadibrove4119 bro what you on about, the Mac Pro came out before M1
@@REAZNx The NEW unreleased Mac pros will be Intel. Notice the words NEW and Pro. Indicates M1 is for general usage.
@@zicadibrove4119 ur smoking some wacky backy my friend. The definition for "new" is "already existing but seen, experienced, or acquired recently or now for the first time", i.e, already out. All the macs will eventually be ARM based as they said... You call M1 a "dongle" yet its literally got better price to performance than any computer in its price range.
We should just watch Intel suffer.
Lemme grab some popcorn and beer!

The stability in the OS has been great for me (though I'm aware Windows has improved despite it's reputation) but the surprising best value has been from my 1 time $200 purchase of Logic Pro (X) which has provided multiple upgrades and updates through nearly a decade of value. Cubase or ProTools can't even come close to that. So, it really comes down what you're doing and what you value. 100% agree that (for example) $200 to go from 8GB to 16GB RAM is absurd, but if it lasts you 5-10 years and provides stability where you need it, there's significant value that's not being recognized or acknowledged.
