Looking better and better! At first I was concerned they might be too close together (and I still might want a longer cable so I can put them on either side of me), but I think it'll probably be pretty comfortable, and there is just enough room in the middle for a trackball that can be touched by either hand! Those are some nice possibilities. So excited to see the progress, and the update on the number of backers! Can't wait to have the Master's Forge!
2:50 i want the big floppy cable though so it is a real split keyboard :D 3:00 wait so the forge is a usb hub at the same time? In that case maybe a USB A would be nice.
That's fine you can use a big floppy cable if you want haha. Yes it is also a USB hub, will need to use a dongle for USB A though or a USB A to C cable
From the video it looks like the two halves are bolted together. So can one unbolt them and use a USB-C cable instead, to separate the halves a greater distance apart?
I only just saw that the masters forge bundle includes two trackballs which begins to explain the price increase vs the CC1. I recently purchased a CC1 and and trying to understand how this might fit into my workflow. Are there any videos of you using the device together with the trackballs? I find it difficult to make such a huge purchase not having seen it in action at all yet! (background: I recently switched to a logi M575 as my RSI is progressing, CC1 progress has gotten to the point that I'm going to switch my primary keyboard instead of just practicing with it as I've plateaued at ~40wpm)
Trackballs are in development, and coming along nicely! Will be demoing them as well as several other of the Bolt-Ons in upcoming videos. Stay tuned :)
Could you use just the left half to play for example an MMORPG game and custom assign characters to the, key positions I want? And if so, could you still have your conventional keyboard connected to the PC or would it have to be disconnected?
So I can technically have 2 lefts, 2 rights and each one would have their own programmable chords? If so, since they are separate I assume they wont be able to communicate with each other in real time to register chords that need both left and right keys to be pressed
Think of it as a Version 2 of the CharaChorder keyboard. The new one is just way more sturdy and durable (by the looks of it). The new one also has the ability to be extended with bolt-ons.

Will be sure to show off the cable for split mode soon. Thanks so much for your support!
Super cool! I really need to find $300 and buy one of these before the price goes up!

Jeez, I can't express how excited I am about this keyboard. I'm loving the progress. Am excited to order one (soon!).
Can you type the intro for the next update on the M4G please? I think a lot of us actually want to see what it looks like with a hand on it typing
Plenty of demos coming soon! 😁
What excited me about the promo pictures on the website was the inclusion of a trackball attached to the rails. Can you show a demo of that?

Yes, they communicate with one another in real time, and yes you should be able to have 2 lefts and 2 rights all linked and chording together
@@CharaChorder Wow! The customization is beyond anything I will ever need and I am a customization freak
I’m subscribed to your channel and still don’t know for sure what’s this all about.
Feel free to ask any questions here!
