▸ Insomnia searches the nightmares of all the heroes for his precious Nightmare Stone and keeps on coming up empty-clawed! Wesley Dodds, Batman, and I must return to the haunted Arkham Tower to confront Insomnia, but…now I know why Insomnia hates the heroes. And I gotta be honest: I’m having a hard time not relating. Maybe Insomnia is owed his revenge.

“This story is finally getting good so it’s time to bring this video to an end.” Classic Rob, you’re awesome!
Really? You like Rob even though you consider him inferior to you?
Kinda enjoy that Joshua Williamson’s whole thesis for a lot of his DC Events is “People are tired (Heh. Because sleep.) of the Justice League and/or Prime Earth messing up their lives”. Which, honestly, fair.
And he should be angry at himself. He was warned to evacuate, the same way someone might have been warned to evacuate a hurricane, and he refused. What happened after that was his fault.
Thinking the same thing except getting fan of the hurricane.
Now he seek revenge on all hirticane
...yeah. if he just evacuated none of this would have happened
@@Pikana um.....didn't his house blow up like....10 seconds after he told his family about the evacuation? it wasn't like they were sitting on thier hands for hours or anything., was it?
@@alexsolomon8127They probably knew beforehand already. Typically, when there’s an evacuation or any dangerous threat, natural or not, it’s broadcasted on everything possible. TV, radio, phones, computers… Hell, I don’t doubt that smart fridges and similar appliances will eventually do the same. So, unless his family has absolutely no contact with the outside world, they should’ve known. Possibly for at least a couple hours.
@@TheCrazyKillerCow maaaaaybe. but what little evidence we have is based on the mental cinema of a guy who is catigoricaly insane. "unreliable narrator" is an issue here. also, most super events have little to no warning. case in point: he bursts in the door, tells his family what is going on, (they didn't have a clue) assures them that the JLA will save them..and then BOOM. if this happened during Dark Metal, most of the baddies there weren't the sort to give the locals time to evacuate...they jsut went for maximum casualties.
Cant wait for dream the endless to show up
Glad to see Sandman get a legit arc. Always my favorite JSA member.
Now the question is... when do we get to see Dream of the endless pop up and be like "Ah... buddy? NO. Done." 👀
who else is waiting for Daniel (Dream of the Endless II)
3:19 To be fair, I knew right away that wasn't actually Batman too lmao
Okay, can I just say that the Superman tie in is actually really interesting? Clark's fear of outliving everyone, and everything he cares about is so visceral to me. Not only that, but to have Kara punch her way into Clark's dream, while being chased by the ghosts of her past iterations is so freaking dope.
She's as powerful as Superman really. Technically faster
Look up " Strange Visitor Superman". It's literally a Story of him out-living everyone and everything til the Death of the Universe. It's a great story.
I've always loved the supernatural side of DC, I just hope they don't mess it up with bad movies! Hopefully Gunn can do something cool with this 🤞
Insomnia's origin mirrors Henshaw's (Cyborg Superman) origin.
I think Damian's nightmare had a bigger implication; and some foreshadowing. We know that Damian's smart enough to know it wasn't real; he broke out of it himself at first.
Everyone else is waking up, yes... But Damian hasn't slept still. He didn't magically get rest. Which makes him a weak link to be exploited.
If he has to stay awake longer, he will begin to go insane. He likely *is* going insane a little bit already. He's falling out already, so the hallucinations aren't far behind. It'd be a really stupid choice to not use psychosis caused from sleep deprivation as a plot point. Trust me, sleep deprivation is not a joke, and you go *insane* after about 36 hours.
I think that was an attempt to chip away at Damian's sanity.
It’s not even that deep, it’s just obvious Batman wouldn’t decide to turn around to go home knowing they’re here for a sort of important mission.
Insomia doesn't know Bruce's and Damien's relationship apparently.
Agreed, but the longer the event goes on, the more insane Damian will get. He's already falling out. So if he has to stay awake for another 24 hours or so he can probably be tricked.
I think that was "chipping" at Damian, otherwise it feels like filler. Keep in mind also that Damian is still going off no sleep, even though the rest of the Justice League are waking up.
Damian is actually the weakest link now, everyone else has had some sleep.
@@spottedslash4256 Read my reply to OP, I think there's a deeper implication, and foreshadowing.
That is a heck of an origin.
This story actually seems pretty good. I didn't like Dark Crisis but I might actually check this out.
Just imagine. The One who laughs is manifested out of this... It would be game over
"From those horrible ass tie ins" lol
Great video 👍🏿
Next Video:Spider-Man and Batman Conquers the Internet!!!
This is just nuts! I love it!
I liked the tie ins
"Those horrible ass tie-ins" lmao
If everyone's nightmare is made real, does that mean there are now two Joker's running around? One is the same homicidal nutcase and the other is the depressed office worker who spends all day watching Gotham Housewives on TV?
When this guy is eventually defeated, I hope Office Joker sticks around. I just want to see the look on Bruce's face when he sees the Joker win Employee of the Month.
Finally? Naw, Joker's nightmare was gold.
Beyond Omega Level: Icon (DC Milestone Comics)
9:12 notice how Batman's "AH!" is highlighted blue. i think the Batman of Zur-en-arrh is beginning to slip out, especially since his mind was taken over. further evidence that points to this conclusion is when Bruce was escaping his nightmare, Batman of Zur-en-arrh was screaming "WAKE UP!!!" at him and the font was the same color
Good catch. Here's something I thought up after reading a comment on Damian falling asleep, maybe there's something to it.
To show Damian falling asleep like that would be filler, *unless there's a reason.* At the end of this video everyone's waking up. But Damian never slept. He is the weak link in the chain, and I think Insomnia was chipping at his sanity
Adding on; Damian went to kill *instantly.*
Damian very well may accidently do it again, but for real. Especially if Batman of Zurenarrh comes out.
This reminds me of the Real Ghostbusters cartoon episode... When Halloween was forever 🤷🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️💯
We shall call him DEADBAT!
Just watched this 10 times
Brightburn Request👿Beyond Omega Level: Kulan Gath!
7:21 almost one for one with hank hanshaw from death of Superman and reign of the supermen animated movie in my opinion
I feel bad for Insomnia after learning his backstory and why he blamed the JLA for all of this.
Also, boy I was wrong that Insomnia was Triumph because they are both characters who has a grudge against the JLA.
Also, Deadman reading a book on an open fire, which is nice.
I find him too similar to doctors destiny
It's his own fault for not getting the fuck out of the area where the JUSTICE LEAGUE have to fight.
The way Insomnia pulled off this win is nothing less than brilliant he is a fantastic new villain. Freddy Krueger is a perfect comparison to Insomnia.
Deadbat.. that should be the name
He on some next level Krueger shit frfr.
~_~
This reminds me of the movie called stay alive in best way.
Rob, I love this storyline! Please cover the tie ins as well! Thanks for the content. Stay blessed.
Lucid dreaming isn't that hard tbh the hard part is doing things you have never done like flying like Superman, no memories to draw from
Yeah thing is Batman could have done that if dead man was not in the driver's seat of his body. He literally says that in the first issue of Night Terrors that dead man being somebody's what's preventing him from forcing himself awake
OMFG......
in the show TITANS...
the woman who plays Dove.....
HOOOLLLYYY SMOKE SHOW BATMAN !!!!!
WICKED HOTT!!!!
As the Joker has said, along the lines of, it can all come down to one very bad day.
And Like Joker he's not taking responsibility for his own mistakes. Insomnia was suppose to evacuate his family, but he didn't and now is blaming The JL for it.
So insomnia's entire existence is based off of The Movie - Death of Superman? Where Hank Henshaws only reason for existence is because he was so egotistic he felt "why help myself, Supermans out there to do it for me?" Can anyone say bad writing
I'm teetering on the line of "lack of accountibility" or bad writing.
Oh just wait until Dream's finally invoked.
As a plot device to end the story.
Epic story
And now that the story's taking off, full stop screw you cliff hanger, I love and hate it all at the same time lol.
Low key given how many super heroes the JL do have with Super Hearing & Super Speed however they should have been able to do something.
Poor Joker. His nightmare of having an office job is real. How would he ever defeat his office coworkers telling him boring office jokes?
Dope
DC is still putting out good sbd great comics. Their Black Label stuff is phenomenal.
Superheroes creating more problems than they solve is a bit thin tbh (at least as far as DC goes)
Yes they're not perfect heroes - they're only human and they make mistakes and poor judgements like everyone else, with disastrous consequences, but the ammount of good they do cannot be understated. If the world of DC Comics did not have the likes of the Justice League, entities like Darkseid would've conquered or destroyed the planet hundreds of times over.
Even the whole argument that they create the villans they fight can be explained away as Evil finding a way. When Villany runs amok, good will always rise to challenge it (like how Batman rose to challenge the criminals who grip Gothams heart), but when good prevails, evil will slither from the shadows to usurp it. Even universes where these titular characters never became superheroes, the people who would've been thier rouges gallery still go on to commit evil in some form or fashion, which proves that the Heroes are not always responsible for the creation of supervillans (though in some cases they definetly are).
Lex was virtually a supervillan before Clarks arrival, only he wore a buisness suit instead of a power suit.
Joker losing everything and having that one bad day would've still resulted in him killing several people in his insanity.
And while Thawne may not exist without Flashes legacy, who's to say someone else wouldn't recieve the speed force and use it for villanous means?
Probably a hole or two in my argument, but the point is that the heroes are not always responsible for the actions of those who see them.
Clark never asked to be blessed with his powers, he just wanted to do good. Bruce never wanted to fight brightly coloured lunatics with fantastical abilities, he just wanted to avenge his parents deaths and end crime in Gotham through fear of his persona etc
Cyborg Superman blamed Superman in a similar instance.
Considering the number of nightmares just one individual has experienced, let alone the power of said nightmares, this is a 100% unwinnable situation. I don't know how the writers will fenangle this to a victory.
That's why Dream of the Endless isn't here yet.
MAnnnnn hope they're bringing Superboy Prime back that'd be soooooooooo dope
I’d like to say the story went from good to awesome
Beyond omega level: the divine creator
Deadman + Batman = Deadbat
So when does Dream of the Endless come in, strip the god of nightmares of his powers and bring about balance?
When the story ends. He'll be a plot device.
Or maybe Dream will be corrupted or some other shark jump
FOR JEDI ACOLYTE 26:
ROB JEFFERSON, HEAR OUR CRY CHARACTER EXPLAINED/ MAMMOTH MOGUL(ARCHIE), DURGE(STAR WARS), ENERJAK(ARCHIE)
Stay strong brothers
Insomnias origin story sounds a lot like Cyborg Superman.
Holy crapbaskets you are right. At least with Henshaw it was more believable whereas here not so much. The JL warned people but despite catastrophic damage happening a lot in this world he went nah we’ll be good
Holy shitstains, this could get massive.
So....John Carpenter's Vampires but with more superheroes 🤣
So nightmare is just the villain from Rise of the Gaurdians then
How and when did Dove die? I haven’t seen her in a comic since the Brightest Day story.
Me personally, I wouldve just evacuated
I am here for The Dream Wonderwoman
Deadman + Batman = DeadBat
Can we please get....
Grim Reaper(Eric Williams) explained video please 🙏🏾(not giving up)
.....Rob Corps I need your help like Lord Schnitzel
Yo would it be too much like right if a clone body was made for Boston Brand and he just inhabits that body? He could stop hijacking dudes for booty calls? He's out making others dudes involuntary father
Hey Rob, can you explain:
Sonic the Hedgehog (Archie Comics)
My first thought: what might the nightmares of the evil guys look like?
That's an awesome question. They probably look like their lives as good people.
@@castlekingside76 Joker's right there. Kinda
Hopefully it isn't some cheesy ending where the nightmares of the bad guys are just overpowered good guys that just win because silver age comic book logic.
Now I see why DC has more fans then marvel they have better stories in night terrors is one of them because I seen the new x men comics in they was ass but DCs night terrors is awesome.💯
This sounds like a propaganda bot wtf
You sound like one of those things that say are you a robot😂😂😂 nah but this is good marvel have nothing going on right now but DC have this new big event 🤷🏾♂️😂😂😂
@comics explained why doesn’t dream of the endless intervene he has done more with less intervention in his realm
When Dream intervenes, he only nudges. Like in Dark Knight's Metal.
But let's be real, it's because Dream is going to be the writer's out. Insomnia's too powerful.
@@XXMatt0040XX yeah but dream took out dr Destiny to get his dream stone back and somehow the dream stone was turned into the nightmare stone
Oh god does that mean joker Batman will manifest 😮
This means Joker might join the justice league 😂
Probably a super-dumb question, but where is Dream of the Endless in all this craziness?
The Endless generally don't get involved. Even at this point. They're not like Marvel's Cosmic Entities
But considering Sandman is part of the story, it's only a matter of time until he shows up. He will be a plot device of course, not a character.
Wait..shouldn't Morpheus have a say in who's the King of Nightmares?
He’s dead, there’s a new dream, called Alex
@@tomhossain2099 whoa...how much have I missed that one of the old gods is dead?!!
@@MrTobi013 DC jumping the shark, again and again. They actually wasted *True Form Darkseid* and *The Great Darkness* in the same event.
Considering Sandman's involved Dream is eventually going to step in. He'll just be a plot device :/
Dream helped Batman during Dark Knight's Metal, but only a nudge. The Endless are very hands off in comparison to other gods; but I'm sure you knew that part.
@@XXMatt0040XX Oh yeah. I know the Endless dont normally interfere with many events, but when I saw nightmares, my mind went straight to Dream.😅
Where the hell is Dream from the Endless during all this? Or did I miss something?
The Endless don't get involved usually; but at this point either Dream's been corrupted, or he'll just be a plot device to end the story. This is the type of story that you write yourself into a corner with
Wait, where was the nightmare stone this entire time?
Starting to get awesome? This stuff has been awesome since the get-go. She's got to be one of the best storylines going on right now. Except for maybe fall of X
Fall of X is eh.
@@UnifiedEntity The X-Men have been overrated since Hickman... I love his stuff, but not the X-Men. Maybe he had a satisfying outcome in mind, but time travel, resurrections, a pocket dimension of OP mutants? It's a bit much. Not to say he sucked, I see the X-Men as an actual threat. *They should be exterminated.* They've become the xenophobes they fought against. There are no villains anymore out of the mutants, because they are *all* cooked.
I think Stan Lee would disapprove of the current X-Men, because they don't stand for "freedom." They stand for an Island Nation who lies to the world about their life extending medicine. They're all scum. Wolverine, the poor SOB, is the only one to have realized. And Sabretooth.
How r u gonna hate the justice league for you not evacuating when told to do so😭
the justice league will save us!!!!!!!
*boom*
I’m curious what’s Joker’s nightmares about. Man is clinically insane and he’s a very illogical character, so makes you wonder what type of things he’d manifest.
The video's on this channel, title's "Joker becomes Batman"
@@XXMatt0040XX Oh thank you, lol i didnt watch it because it didnt have "Knight Terror" in the title, i was just only going through those videos. This series is phenomenal so far. I could see this being like the next hype DC comic as Death Metal.
DC most powerful hierarchy and how they compare to your Marvel hierarchy.
I like almost everything about the character except how he looks kinda like The Joker.
Sup!
....Bed-Man...
Adulting sucks 😭😭😭 anywhomst, day 64 of respectfully requesting east of west explained.😊😊😊
Night terrors still a better overall story than Fall of X.
Rob can you please answer my question why doesn’t dream of the endless intervene he’s done so for less when his nightmares came to life
No. I disagree.
South Park did it first
It got a lil bit better but the beginning was straight garbage
A
First here baby!!!
“Horrible ass high end comics”
Insomnia isn't a good actor
I did not enjoy this arc.
to be honest, i have no idea how DC is delving this deep into dreams nightmares and nightmares in the real world without somehow looping in the dream. its too much in that territory to not get a mention.
