    IMPORTANT UPDATE: Pinterest has streamlined its content creation process and we no longer have Idea Pins (on some accounts they may still be available but this functionality is being phased out). From now on, there are only pins. The rest of the tips are still up to date!

    Always love your on point tips! I add stickers in my idea pins that when clicked goes to my board where I have my etsy products saved. Since I cannot tag products in my idea pins this is the best option for me now, imo.

    Pinterest SEO please :D But is it ok to make a pin and add the URL of the listing? even if I can not claim my Etsy shop domain? or does it means that my pin will be practically invisible? and won't be any engagement?

    • @Tizzitco
      @Tizzitco  Год назад +1

      Yes, that's exactly how you can still get traffic from Pinterest to your Etsy shop - by saving pins from your shop directly or adding new graphics / photos on Pinterest directly and linking your product listing. You just won't be able to see conversion insights for example :) Hope it helps! - A.

    Please please correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm getting the impression that you need quite a number of pins and a lot of fresh bins (100+) to have an effective Pinterest strategy for your shop. I've just started my handmade shop and I have less than 10 products. Even if I can create 10 fresh pins per product, I still fear that my pins will be repetitive, particularly if they are just about my products and the process of making them. I want to have variety. but not something unmanageable for the sake of a platform's rules. Would you recommend Pinterest for a really small shop like mine with a small number of products for 2023 in light of this?
    And yes, Pinterest SEO would be super helpful!

    • @Tizzitco
      @Tizzitco  Год назад

      On one hand, it's like with any other SEO - the more keywords you can cover and rank for, the higher the traffic to your shop you will get.
      On the other hand, the 100s of pins is no longer necessary - Pinterest is going in the "quality over quantity" direction, like many platforms before it - so you can have less pins and still be quite successful! We talk about the strategies more in the Pinterest course, but in a nutshell, you want to focus on getting really good quality pins that people will love to save (big factor on Pinterest!) and help you reach new audiences that way. You may also try to utilize Tailwind Communities to get even more saves.
      If you feel like the platform is a good fit for your products and for your marketing strategy overall, I would definitely try it out. Hope it helps! - A.

    🖐️🙂 question, if you have two similar shops say one selling printable stationary and the other selling printable art. Should you use the same Pinterest account to promote both or have separate accounts for the two shops? What would you do?

      I'd say you would be better off to have 2... it separates ADs campaign costs, you could share PINs from both to each other (more exposure) and if you have 2 different websites to claim that's something to be thought of. Also you have Printable Art... share PINs like Home Decor, Wall Art, Canvas Art, Wall Hangins etc but you wouldnt have Car Parts PINs in that board. Printable stationary share Mockups, Planners , To do lists, Office Supplies etc.

    So dont need group board? I can just concentrate on my own acocunt? Can people find me account? And there is a limit how much you can put pin? Do you must create a board and pin inside the board?

    • @Tizzitco
      @Tizzitco  Год назад

      Hi @linch482! No, group boards are not necessary anymore but you can still use them if you want to (they just don't work as well as they did a few years ago). You can definitely concentrate on your own account and pins - in fact that's the best approach now if you want to be successful on Pinterest. People can find your pins and account if they're optimized to be found - Deb has a video about Pinterest algorithm here: ruclips.net/video/UzLy-WgMxlY/видео.html and there's a lot more important info on Pinterest SEO and much more in her course here: www.hq.tizzit.co/pinterest-marketing-for-handmade-shops/ - Alicja from Team Tizzit

    Does the traffic we attract by advertising on Pinterest harm the product by lowering the Conversiton rate if customers don't buy the product? I advertised my best selling product on Pinterest during the month of December. In January the sales of this product dropped dramatically. The product almost died. Did I damage my own listing?

    • @Tizzitco
      @Tizzitco  Год назад

      Hi! There can be a couple of issues here.
      To give you a quick answer to your question: any traffic that doesn't turn into sales will lower your conversion rate if the numbers point to it, no matter where it's coming from.
      In your case, I would dig a bit deeper though: do you have data for your shop and for this specific product from last year? December is usually a good month for a lot of shops and January can be worse in general. Is your product seasonal? Connected to a trend? Did you change anything else about it or your shop? Did the traffic increase and sales decrease in that time period?
      As for Pinterest ads: I would also take a look at who you've targeted them at and where in the buyer journey they are (as Deb talked about in this video) and if your ad creative was suitable. What I often see is sellers targeting a broad audience on Pinterest that isn't necessarily in the "buying" phase yet so it may be lowering your overall effects. It's also great to see what people coming from Pinterest organically are buying and trying to promote that to a narrow audience as it will often differ from your Etsy bestsellers.
      Hope it helps! - Alicja from team Tizzit

    I tried to do pinterest the first time. But got suspended for pinning like 5 items i think I accidentally repeated 2 same item. So got suspended. Why is that? Is there a limit on how many you can pin?

    • @Tizzitco
      @Tizzitco  Год назад

      Hi @linch482! New accounts are often subject to more scrutiny by Pinterest and fall under harsher anti-spam filters. If your account got suspended, I suggest contacting Pinterest support and explaining the situation. You may need to contact them a few times but there's a high chance you'll get your account back. And when you do, just try to go slow and don't pin the same URL / pin too often - and generally don't pin too many pins in one go. There are no hard limits as to how much you can pin, it all depends on how old your account is, how much content do you already have etc. To give you any tip though, I would not pin more than 2-3 pins per day, and I wouldn't pin the same URL more than once per week. I would also not pin the same exact pin (so image + URL) more than once per month or so. Again, these are not hard rules, just a ballpark figure you can start with as I know the "it depends" answer can be frustrating. Hope it helps! - Alicja from Team Tizzit
