I own the '22 UX250h and here are my positives and negatives on the new refresh. Overall, I love the direction of the changes, however, there are a few things lacking that I hope Lexus will add in the coming years. + Hybrid exclusivity in the US + New infotainment interface + Better rigidity + New run-flat tires reduce cabin noise + Handling package for F-sport trim + Memory seats for F-sport trim + Wireless Apple Carplay/Android Auto + More ambient interior LED lighting + Aluminum foot rest + Color matching wheel fenders are standard on all trim levels +? Rumor from Lexus forums that auto-folding side mirrors are standard on all models now (UNCONFIRMED) - No Lexus analog clock - No CD/DVD/Blue-ray player - No radio/music tuning controls on armrest - Odd empty space on middle console where the touch pad used to be - Lexus UX's unique illuminated vent controls, with distinctive LED light source wirelessly powered by electromagnetic resonance of two adjacent coils vibrating at the same frequency, is still a rarely seen addition- even on Luxury trim models. I wish Lexus would bring this cool feature more to the forefront. -+ No exterior styling changes other than the black roofing. So while the new mechanical and technological changes are welcomed, the removal of (and lack of) the mentioned luxury motifs and convenience features make the 2023 UX not worth upgrading for me. This refresh is still very exciting, and I am looking forward to the direction Lexus is taking with the UX. I predict that Lexus will be adding new features as the years go by to "fill in the empty spaces". For now, I will be waiting for the Redesign! Thank you for making this informative video, Brent!
Thank you for this well written comment. I completely understand some of your frustrations with this model. I'm hoping that as my channel grows, Lexus may view the comments section and learn from their customers like you on how they can improve. Thank you again for lending us your insight as a Lexus UX owner!! P.S. I too would love to see how a new body design would look. In their defense though, it's hard to improve on a car that already looks so good and modern. 😅
Looks great on the outside especially with color matched fenders:) bigger screen, better build, more interior led lights, all i can say its the right thing in 2023!
The only reasonable alternatives would be Lexus IS for the compact size. Or the NX for an SUV that is the closest to the UX by way of price. Better still is a pre-owned UX as they are all going to be great on gas.
I've been waiting to upgrade from my 2015 Toyota Prius, I just never liked the newer generation's design - or even the 2019 design language of the UXh. But there's something about this refresh and that blacked out roof that makes all the difference. It's very reminiscent of the CT200h F-Sport - before it exited and made way for the UXh. I think I'm making the jump on this, I like the idea of the handling package and increased body rigidity & quieter tires. The latter sounds iffy to me (since run-flats are typically loud)
If you're on a wait list, it's always for newly manufactured vehicles. Given that the new 2023 UX should be coming out late summer 2022, I believe you should be getting the new model my friend. 😁
Thank you for watching the video Matthew. I appreciate the opportunity to earn your business. There's a link in my description to set up a call. Talk to you soon my friend!!

That's awesome!! Happy you're making the "Lexus Leap"!! I agree with you that this new model UX looks very promising and worth the purchase!!
I ordered a UX in April, was told wait time is a year, do you think I will be getting a 2023?

so they didn't say what the added Performance was, it is a turbo charged engine?
Performance package is the additional handling package. No turbo for the UX 😅
Interested and in the Bay Area! Let me know how I can reserve one with you.

No more CD player? Say it isn't so!
The new Lexus Interface is the death of the cd player unfortunately 😔
