My response would have been "And today, we're exploring space, while you're... exploring space. So what have you been doing since we went from stone tipped spears to space? Oh right losing wars.
Some Asari: “Haha I’m pretty good at tactics”
Shepard: “Your species is a fucking failure”
Asari "And without us the Turians would have destroyed your species. If we are failures, what does that make you to need our help to continue surviving"
If the Asari dedicated themselves full to war, humans wouldn't stand a chance in comparison.
@@TheLastSane1And yet in the face of extermination, with a head start compared to humanity their still playing catch up because of how short sighted and stupid they are.
@@Touriquette No they are much smarter than humans. The difference is that Humans are inherently evil, they love to kill they love to rape and torture and maim its in our nature. We are violent animals with delusions of civility.
Asari just are not war-focused. If the Asari dedicated even a little of their time and efforts to war they would surpass us easily. Their goals have been mental and artistic. Put to war even in our own culture artists have created some incredibly horrific things. Most torture devices are "artistic" most weapons have an artistic bent to them. Weapons in humanity are aesthetically pleasing. Look at all modern war planes, they all have that aesthetic look that makes them look beautiful.
Now if the Asari dedicated their time to warfare, they could probably come up with things humans couldn't understand especially given their natural talent for biotics that drastically surpass anything humans can do. Humans in Mass Effect are still "big gun go brrrr" more or less.
@@TheLastSane1no, asari are great thinkers. Humans are great doers. No amount of thinking sands up to even an ounce of doing.
Additionally the death of each human is the loss of a century of future productivity, the loss of an asari is the loss of a millennia. Even if humans lost a first war, the asari couldn't recover enough to win a second.
@@carboneagle That is the dumbest logic ever spouted.
That culture didn't stop Thessia from getting stomped.
The reapers were noted to have much made slower progress on asari worlds due even regular citizens being able to wield biotics, but being slowly crushed under a boot rather than stomped isnt anything to celebrate either way.

@@thebighurt2495I think that's most of them, partly because that's how it be irl. I remember a collection of sci-fi stories called something like "Warning: Humans".
Basically, humans were treated a bit like Rachni, Krogans and Reapers combined. Any time they made it to the Galactic stage on their own, whole races would die. If someone went to poke them, races would die faster. When a powerful race would try to extinct them, _they specifically_ would die _really horribly,_ while each time Humanity would go so far into spite they would knock themselves back to the stone age. So the galactic government just put up big signs warning everyone off from making contact, and just kinda hope we don't make it to space again. I mean Shepard’s right when have the Asari ever won. They were unable to beat the Rachni so had the Salarians use the Krogan, then when the Krogans rebeled they went wining to the Turians, fast forward to Mass Effect 3 despite Sovereign’s attack on the Citadel, Shepard’s countless warnings, the Collectors being the Protheans, the beacon they hid from the rest of the galaxy, and add the attack on Earth, Palaven, and Tuchanka how were they not even prepared? They literally had all the time and resources to prepare for the reapers and they wasted it.
Edit: I don’t hate the Asari in fact I just hate their leaders the Councilor regardless of choice is completely useless I would think that the most advance alien race in the galaxy would’ve prepared by the time Earth and Palaven were being invaded.
The most "prepared" asari in the game was Aria. With all the hidden bunkers, heavy weapons, pirate fleets and Shepard recruited for her "cause". The Citadel space was too soft to face the ugly truth about both Omega 4 Relay and the Reapers
Galactic unity aids all, but especially Asaris. They're leeches that extract all they can from other species to advance their own, even at the most BASE level--reproduction. It helps that their physiology evolved to the point where they are considered universally attractive to all species.
One of the things that makes me angry about the Asari Matriarchs and their Councilor, is that they could have told Shepard about their Prothean Obelisk much earlier and there is a good possibility that they would have gotten there before the Reapers or Cerberus. They could have had the Catalyst early. But, nooooo, the Asari wanted to keep their little secret almost causing everyone to lose. Really mind blowing that no one mentions that.
That's probably why Liara gets so defensive on Thessia when you bring Javik. She had spent a majority of her young life researching the protheans and even her mother kept this beacon from her. She saw first hand what they're capable of. Even after me2 events. And the asari government had all of this that could have helped and did nothing. I'm excited for her part in the next game.
I think new council after the war will be Human,Krogan,Quarian,Turian and Salarians
Asari are out, they hide Prothean beacon from the council and also most important thing for winning the war. If they were told this to the council after the sovereign attack or before, all this war and death in ME3 could have been avoided.
And yet the humans weren't bottle fed by the protheans to move beyond stone tipped spears

@legion6211 Yeah, that's how it goes every cycle. The most advanced ones leave behind clues and add to the catalyst machine each cycle even javik said the protheans learned the same way as the asari they found a bunch of info kept it and made them on top by knowing everything first only thing that made the prothenas speical is there able to read emtions and memorys through the persons dna sturcture, if not the existence and information on how space travel works and how to get to the citidal would just cease to exist and the reapers would have to wait like 100 000 years or more for one of the species to learn from scratch again like the leavations
Commander Shepard really is the quintessential scifi action hero chad of our era. Whether you're going paragon, renegade, or a mix of both he's always the baddest motherfucker in the room because he earned it. It's been over a decade and he's still in the top five video game protagonists that are, quite simply, built different.
I agree, and I don't even mean the ones *literally* built different (spartans from Halo), and it's not done off some nebulous thing of "well he's not the baddest motherfucker, he's the 'luckiest'." (the justification for master chief). Another one I'd put for a video game protag that's built different is Isaac Clarke, he's an old man by the time of dead space 3 but he's still going strong.

@Dylan Monstrum fr, if you think about it if the asari were to tell everyone about the prothean artifact when the reapers first showed up the vi would've already been in the crucibles systems helping them build it before cerberus would've even known it existed and would've known what the catalyst is before they finished the crucible war over before it started
@@wolfieplays2wolf199 Yep! Exactly right!
So you had all that head start and still needed us to save you from just sovereign? No wonder you’re losing now
Humans lost to the Turians, the only reason they jumped ahead as much as they did was because they where brought into the council and given more alien tech. So all aliens got a massive jump forward in tech. Asari are just not a war centric culture. Humans are like cuddlefish, if left alone too long in too small a space we will eat each other. Asari are not like that and thats why they survive as long out ahead of everyone else. While we were eating each other they where out exploring space. It was only when humans found alien tech and then had people like the Asari step in to stop the Turians from folding the humans like laundry.
Humans got where they where because of the Asari, to pretend humans are better just doesn't work.
@@TheLastSane1Both the Asari and the Salarians stopped the Turians from committing Genocide on Humanity.
And may I remind you it's been less than a single generation since the First Contact war. There are still Human Veterans of it still kicking it in Shepard's time.
Which means in less than a 150 years ( an admittedly one time one off mention Shepard makes about max human lifespan ) Humanity easily takes fourth spot in the entire known Universe. Leap frogging over dozens of other species in the process.
It's a lot more than Prothean data that did that mate.
@@clothar23 Yes but they also had access to all the other races technology and a lot of hand ups. We would do very well for sure. But remember this was written by humans for humans, there is a bias.

Its still ironic how humans managed to teach the other species how to do war again. Not to mention shepard and his (or her, for the rest of ye) exploits.
Canonically the first contact war had humanity stun the galaxy. We had developed fighter carrier doctrine from ww2 but the other races stuck to big gun doctrine and focused their navies on dreadnought "battleships". Our strike craft tore the turian fleet to pieces.
Our ground forces operate on blitzkrieg tactics as well, with a focus not on advancing the line so much as penetration and hitting logistics and communications. The bulk of enemy fighting forces are left blind and starving as they are enveloped in a cauldron by an inferior force
@@cpob2013 Yup. It's only a wonder that the other species make fun of the Alliance when we literally executed a successful counter-attack against the Turians, and because both sides came to understand the gravity of the situation (ultimately we would lose but we entered the alliance in a position that paved the way for humans gaining more power in the council and even Shepard becoming the first spectre, although it sucked for Anderson cause he was suppose to have a shot lol) it's just the irony. We also make use of drones which is certainly useful for fire and maneuver warfare (blitzkrieg being apart of that) and recon.
I loved the background lore in Mass Effect, especially the first game, and I was a little bored with ME3 but overall I hope the next game picks up where we left off, and humanity continues to improve.
@@cpob2013Our carrier concept was pushed to the forefront when the Council wanted humanity to abide by their dreadnought treaty where each major race could only have a certain amount per ratio(that already speaks heavily for the alliance as they didn't even have an embassy yet and the treaty was mostly for the council races since they were the only ones capable of fielding dreadnoughts). For political reasons the alliance agreed, but took one look at the citadel fleet and said "Bet". They doubled their number of carriers because it's hard for an enemy dreadnought to line up a shot when it's getting fucked down by 300+ fighters and bombers. There's two reasons why the other races knew they wouldn't want to mess with humanity at the end of the day; our insane ability to adapt and our near limitless ingenuity.
@@cpob2013the turians would've won tho make no mistake
@@weaselwolf8425also we're the only species that can execute long range rapid strategic infantry maneuvers because to my knowledge the others don't sweat, which is a necessity.

"The assari had a culture-"
You mean the protheans had a culture, that their asari sex pets took for themselves when the proteans died.
Oof 😂
Damn thats true xD
Yeah the asari legitimately got uplifted from stone age all the way to space travel, they did nothing by themselves.
Humans at the very least got to space travel by themselves and they didn't have space magic or millennia long lifespans.
Without the protheans it's questionable if the asari would've even figured out agriculture or stone tipped spears to begin with.
came to laugh at yt short, stood for the comments xD
@@PeachDragon_ i don't know if it is canon, but there was a side mission in ME3 where you found a colony on alpha centauri from survivors from a lost expedition pre-mass relays, and i think it was even pre-mars archive, so humans legitimately got to INTERSTELLAR space travel on their own.
Humans would have been the speardhead of the next cycle, had we taken literally only 1 more century to find and activate the charon relay, the reapers would have completly ignored a system with a dorman relay.
I wish Shepard would say something like "you had such advantage yet humanity still prevail"
And where would the humans be if the Asari had not stepped in to broker peace with the Turians (who were crushing humanity at that time). Humans are too war centric to survive without aid and Asari are not war centric virtually at all. So yes in a galactic fight humans would fair better with Asari tech at their side than an Asari on their own. At least if the Asari didn't dedicate a lot of time on warfare.
@@TheLastSane1 No hate to Asari, but if your species was basically spoon fed technology and was literally prepared to be the next great power by the Protheans you should be curbstomping the reapers, and yet they have never progressed beyond what was given to them, Asari are the definition of a trust fund baby, all the style but zero hunger
@@JM-mh1pp Not accurate at all. They were spoon fed, which meant they were controlled. I get the human supremacist trope but its literally all bullshit.

I love the way asari are portrayed. When they're first introduced they're all so wise and dignified - a species with a lifespan of thousands of years, with superior intelligence and magical abilities! Imagine what they can achieve! And next thing you see they're just shaking their asses in bars.
That's kinda realistic. When you are rich from birth (I'd imagine a spacefaring civilisation would have enough resources so even the "poor" ones live rather well), you don't age and you don't have any real struggle in your life. Would you go to the army? Would you work hard? Nah, most likely you'd be an "entertainer" of some sort just like the rich kids IRL do.

No matter which character you play as in the mass effect series, whether Shepard or Ryder, you never lose a trash talking competition. 🗿
I mean, the Asari exploring space while humanity was still primitive isn’t really a flex. Once humanity became capable of space exploration at that level all the other races became wary of them. Humanity has the strongest military force in the galaxy aside from maybe the Turians. The Krogan are probably the most skilled individual warriors, but their numbers are too few and they’re too divided to be a threat against the galaxy’s super powers. The Asari have everything going for them, they’re natural biotics, they’re a long lived species, and hold the most political power, yet still rely on every other species to do their dirty work. As Nihilus said in ME1, many species believe humanity to be dangerous, as they are too independent. In other words, they won’t take any BS that the council races try to feed them.
"congratulations. You got a headstart and _you still suck!"_
How come Asari are considered so powerful? Turians have the best military, Salarians best science, Krogan best individual warriors, and humans are the best all around. Asari have top biotics, yet their military forces always seem to lose in places like the Ardat Yakshi Monastery and Thessia. Even Aria needed shepherd to cement control of the merc gangs and retake Omega. Forget wars, do the Asari even win battles??
Short answer; no.
Long answer; the asari have always relied on other species to win. Their commandos are supposedly good at hit and run tactics and recon. That might win a few skirmishes and battles but it doesn't always win wars. They needed the krogan/salarians to beat the rachni. They needed the turians to beat the krogan. And in this very instance they needed the humans to defeat the geth, collectors, and reapers. A seasoned asari Commando could reasonably take on a squad grunts, but up against a whole platoon that also has biotics, trained in guerrilla warfare, and good logistics is another matter. They have to pick their battles carefully.
Asari depend on diplomacy, when that fails they talk about how superior their culture is and get other races to fight for them
His retort at the end should’ve been ‘and yet we’ve won more wars’
I am usually happy when Thessia burns, but this Asari makes me think it’s worthwhile to go back and scrap a little bit more of the place
Human be like: "fuck this lets speed evolution up"
Average Turkish and Greek conversation
LMAO, as a Turk i can confirm that this is an average Turkish and Greek conversation😂
Turks are just self-loathing muslim greeks. They're both hairy and smell like garlic body odor.
Thats right, you were exploring space while we were stone age. But look at you now. Same exact place, and here we are, striding past you.
well when they were playing space explorations we were perfecting multiple ways of killing your oponents
"were using Stone tipped spears"
"And winning wars with them, so i ask again, have the asari ever won a war?"
Lmao, her culture is the most advanced in every way but they got their asses kicked in every war. The citadel when sovereign attacked, the Racnni,Krogan and then the Reapers destroyed Illium and Thessia like it was nothing.
"So what you're saying is.... in the time it took us to go from stone-tipped spears to interstellar travel, you haven't won a single war?"
The "I think you were suppose to hit the button." Was Shepard admitting defeat to the battle, but claiming victory on the war
I thought it was him saying the Asari should move over because like every other war it won’t be because of you but another species your allied with that wins the war
That is the most RenShep ive ever seen. I always chicken out of going all the way evil
Asari looked soooooooo dummmmmm in ME3 😂😂😂😂
I mean i would also say
"We fucking Killed each other to win a war for 1000s of year so we're more experienced for being so young when it's war" 😂
Love this game...!❤
Glad you enjoyed!
Thank you for watching and commenting 👍
"And now look. We are standing right beside you even though you had a few hundred thousand year head start."
Wait this made realise that the Asari are sort of a Mary Sue race 😂. They really haven’t won any major conflict without help from other races. Their military forces while powerful aren’t as large as the Korgan or as coordinated and cohesive as Turians and humans. They really do suck 😅
They also don't have the science or information that the Salarians have.
Don't forget how the Protheans basically coddled them and helped them develop and evolve a lot faster then everyone else, first by pretending to be their goddess and then leaving behind a beacon (hell if I remember right they're also the main reason they're naturally good biotics). They were basically in lore chosen to be the Mary Sue race.
@@quantras2673 Although you could argue that their ability for diplomacy is notable. They seem to be able to get 'along' with everyone and can 'integrate' well into other societies.
@@mizzy8655 and yet that diplomacy still didn't help thessia from being stomped. 😂
How does that make them a Marry Sue race??? A Marry Sue race would win the wars without help
Asari: Have been prepared by Protheans with beacons and technology to get ready for the Reaper Invasion. They were exploring space, while humans were still using bows and arrows.
Also Asari: Their capital planet gets taken over by the Reapers faster than Poland smallest village.
Dammmm bro that's savage
“Name something that the Asari do best…”
“I-“
“That doesn’t involve laying on your back.”
“….”
Being blue
And yet it's the savages like the humans and krogans who actually got the reapers to bleed
Why she lookin like that tho she really said 🐵
I remember thinking that Asari was pretty much calling us spear chuckers 🤣
I despise Asari almost as much as Batarians.
How did I miss this? Straight savage.
Common asari L
"While you were still learning to SPELL YOUR NAME I was being trained TO CONQUER GALAXIES!"
"Our civilization was exploring space when you were using stone spears"
"And yet, here we both are, playing a video game. Oh. And come talk to me when you take down a reaper."
"Yeah you're right about the spears; maybe we should do like the Asari and just win all our wars by talking their enemies to death. Oh wait, that's never happened."
"The asari also have a culture that never won a war since we were unsing stone tipped spears"
Actually loled. “Have the Asari ever won a war.” Just lmfao.
For the last her argument , after Thessia mission, he could say that everything they (asari) was made thanks to Prothean VI, now that’s would be a great comeback from which she would not recover
The prothean vi hasn't helped the asari in 50 thousand years if it ever did
“My people have a culture that was exploring the stars while you were using stone-tipped spears.” Yeah, and your culture basically stagnated after finding the Citadel meanwhile it took humanity like 30 years to become the most powerful non-council species and 4 years after that to basically become the most dominant of all the galaxy’s species.
