Going purely off just encounters, not including shinys or ivs, I would say it’s probably munchlax from the original gen 4 games. It can only be found on honey trees at a 1% chance, but the real kicker is that it can only be found on 4 different trees, which change with each new playthrough. Edit: would like to say thanks to everyone who have engaged in the conversation of this comment it’s been really nice seeing some people’s reactions and stories and sharing info of other rare encounters, I’m also incredibly happy that my most liked comment ever was about my favorite Pokémon, so here’s to more conversations to come and thank you all.
Also Feebas from gen III had a similar mechanic, only 4 spots in a river that has like 160 possible spots, also these spots change every playthrough and has only 50% possibility of encounter a Feebas
@@giovannialcudia1098 I wanna say there was something similar about feebas in gen 4 also, it was a certain body of water in mt. Coronet where only a few spots had a 50% of feebas, upside it was a little easier to find cause if you synced games with friends they would have the same spots to find feebas.
I believe I read in the wiki that once you find an encounter in a honey tree the next one in the same tree has a high chsance to be the same pokemon again, so that probably makes munchlax worse if you dont get it first try
A Spinda. Not just any Spinda. You save until you find a shiny spina, remember its pattern. Reset the game and try and find the shame swirl Shiny Spinda with Pokerus. @@sjacqVO21 U definitely did not get 3 of the exact same Spinda, urs may look similar bu they're not exact. The odd for the same Spinda is 1/8 BILLION
Apparently, the odds for a wild encounter to have pokerus are 3 in 65536, so if we take that figure and calculate it with the odds of catching a shiny level 100 Magikarp with perfect IV's the odds become 1 in 1.638375e+15, although I'm not sure I calculated that correctly. I'm positive the comment section will let me know

Shiny, perfect, shadow Mewtwo. My uncle became the most unexpected, extremely dedicated trainer I've seen. He caught the shiny, perfect, shadow Mewtwo!
I encountered a wild, shiny, female tentacruel on soulsilver back in the day. I used my masterball on her lol she had higher end IVs and was modest nature. Only other shiny I found was a zigzagoon on ruby version at the beginning of a play through
The odds of catching a level 100 magicarp is 1/10,000, odds of catching a shiny is 1/8192 in the series so the chances are 1/82million, BUT there is one more rare than this, catching a spinda, then catching the same patterned spinda again but shiny, which is 1/32,516,000,000,000 Which is 1/32.5Trillion.
Man, and I was here thinking that finding a wild normal rate shundo in Pokemon Go was already rare enough. Also you forgot about the spinda patterns (no, in PoGo is easier to get and there's only like 7 patterns if you don't include shiny's, I know, thank god is "easy" to get)
The odds of finding perfect IV Pokémon in the wild are not even close to what is being said here, the shiny rate in the older games mentioned is also wrong.
In my opinion IS feebas in Ruby and Saphire the rarest Pokemon because you can get IT with your super rod but that ON every water place and the Chance to get IT IS on about 0,1% so i think thats much more rare than the shinys. IT took me 3 months in 2003 and i played about 6 hours a day and the whole weekends only to get 1 feebas 😅
Dude, I spent 12 million Poké balls and got the thing the Garrett the shiny Magikarp with perfect IVs after I watch this I went on the grind to get as many coins as I can so I basically farmed the poke tournament or whatever it’s called. I forgot the battle delete five money and bought that pokey balls and caught it.
Meanwhile I'm struggling to find a ralts in pokemon emerald , that 4% encounter rate kicking my ass rn , found it with ease in my first playthrough , never had that luck again :(
Isn't it shiny manaphy, cause the only way to get it was through transferring it from a side DS game which you only get the egg of after you finish the whole game. So it's normal shiny odds except you only get an encounter after finishing the whole game
I still have the japanese arceus that triggers sinjoh ruins event in heartgold soulsilver I beleive there was even a movie arceus with the the legendary trios specials movies pr was that darkrai

The pain
Been hunting for 2 years on my game for it. Up to like 800 hours. 2/3 of which is hunting for em.
Unless you RNG abuse, it took a day to figure it out and now i've gotten 24 Shinys in just 3 days hunting^^

Ha ha shiny spinda goes bbbbbbbrrrrrrrrrrr
With perfect IVs
And a certain pattern of course 😁
Damn, people are still using this old meme? 😅
Is nobody gonna talk about machamp just hitting that girl with the nastiest left hand?💀
I feel like a shiny Pokemon Ranger Manaphy with perfect IVs takes the cake
What if we also add the odds of the shiny lvl 100 magikarp having pokerus?
Technically speaking it'd be any one specific shiny varient of spinda since there are literal billions of possible patterns
Shiny full odds six IV spinda with a specific spot pattern is such a large number that I don’t even know
Dont forget you need to get the right nature and hidden abilities as well. 😂
Technically it's the chance to catch any specific spinda form
As someone who still plays but only up to gen 4, I was genuinely confused when the teapot came out 😂
Spinda: *hold me beer
Gen 2 be like: "Perfect IV 🟦 or Shiny 🟥"
Bro didn't even want to do the calcs for a specific pattern on a perfect IV Shiny Spinda with PokéRus and holding a Chesto
Shiny, perfect, shadow Mewtwo. My uncle became the most unexpected, extremely dedicated trainer I've seen. He caught the shiny, perfect, shadow Mewtwo!
2 shiny, perfect IV, same pattern Spindas:
Shiny 3 segment rare marked dundunsparce. With or without perfect IVs is hella rare.
I once actually encountered a shiny lvl 100 magikarp but…accidentally killed it-
Perfect iv, shiny Munchlax in Pokemon Platinum: 🗿
Authentic shiny Jirachi. Probably unobtainable at that point.
2 Identical Shiny Spinda both having Perfect IV's is the hardest thing of all tome
Maybe the actual rarest shiny Pokémon are the friends we made along the way
Are we not gonna talk about how that Machamp just struck a trainer?
FUN FACT: There are no "shiny" pokemon. I am born '87 - for me there are 151 pokemon. Everything after that is IDOL WORSHIP.
Pre Gen 6 shinies were 1 in 8192. Basically everyone knows that by now. 4096 is the new chance
Im glad i got a GameShark back in the days
My problem with sinestea is that you can't even see its authentic label, let alone someone battling you online...
No girl can resist Machamp and Machoke.
170 billion percent chance... thats WAY better than 100%, so I can't be that tough!
Shiny Feebas with perfects IV in Pokémon Shapire/Rubi/Emerald

Basing it on wild encounters yeah. But you can get mayne not perfect ivs but competitive via masuda method

The rarest Pokemon in the games is clearly Shiny Victini, its so rare it doesn't legitimately exiat in them
Perfect iv's shiny feebas in gen iii must be in that mix
