Hello! I was part of the programming team for HoloXBreak and I've also made some holo fangames as solo dev. Very nice video! As you mentioned in the video, there are lots of hololive fangames out there (I have listed over 500 in the hololive fangames database) and covering all of them would require a super long video or a series of multiple videos. XD So, if you asked me which of those 500 I would like to see in future videos, I'd suggest: - The Holoween Collection - holoware - nameless - Holo EN Rhythm Game - Age of Advent - Ceres Fauna -Seasons of Promise- - Nui Nui Quest - Mumei no Toshi - WOWOWOW Korone Box - Delivering Hope (I made this!) Finally, I just wanted to mention there's a regular hololive fangames gamejam happening every 3 or so months, which has contributed to the explosion in number of hologames lately. The next holojam is probably starting in a few weeks. :D
@@Meta_Break You could make a full series on these games, just one game at a time, go through it a bit, get the feel, unlock some mechanics, maybe accidentally beat the game (you know how it is), spend some hours, and then give your review!
My favourite part about the Council RPG, is that all the Promise girls played it, and several of them ended up making jokes and saying lines that their character in the game then said right after, really says a lot about how well the writer knows them haha xD
Imagine if *FuwaMoco* were to be in that one Hololive fighting game… They’d probably be the quote-unquote *Wolverine-Duo* and tear through the battlegrounds.
a bit shame Nui Nui Quest isn't in this video, it's a wonderful metroidvania fan game featuring Shiranui Flare of HoloFantasy inspired by Megaman/Rockman. Hope you'll give it a try in the future 😊
Little known fact about Holocure is that it was so well received by the outside community that: - It is #1 game of 2023 by Steam user ratings (higher than Pizza Tower and Lethal Company) - And #7 game by Steam user ratings of ALL TIME (higher that Terraria)
That's actually insane for a Vampire Survivors style fan game. It shows as a huge testimant to how large Hololive has become and just how goated the devs are for Holocure.
One of my favourite facts about the game, and to be clear this isn't a case of it having a really small number of reviews resulting in a disproportionate rating, it has just shy of 31k reviews contributing to that rating.
I feel like the selling point of HoloXBreak is that its 4 player coop whereas Holocure is single player, and I find it pretty strange that thats never mentioned
@@Meta_Break you'll know how wrong you are if you see those vlogs about Hololive concert after party, or Hololive fanmeet watchparty. Lol I recommend Hwikky's channel to see some of it.
Some game content creator scene tried to make that coin on every vs clone but really, it only applies to vampire survivor itself where there's no aiming and enemies just body rush the players. It hardly applies to subsequent clones that improve on that bare bones formula that they basically just evolved back to being bullet hell / twin stick shooters / shmups / etc. So the bullet heaven term itself is in a limbo confused of it's identity.
I'm glad you used my videos for your idol showdown clips. I do actually intentionally choose clips that would serve as a good introduction to the character, as i've noticed my videos are usually people's first exposure to what the character looks like in action.
I’m so happy you included the CouncilRyS RPG in here… I never played it myself, but watching the now Promise girls play through and see the very real emotions this game gave to them is the true testament of what a gem the game is… so much love and care went into it that it deserves all the attention it can possibly receive~! ❤️
One fangame that I think has fallen to the wayside in recent memory is HoloFunk, short for Hololive Funkin. A mod for a rhythm game that got ported to another engine to be less of a mod, it has got lots to it in terms of songs and charm.
Back in my day we didn't have any holohouse and fancy schmancy stickers We had halu One Halu and a dream for the whole roster And we had to share the dream
If you guys like Megaman style games, then I recommend NuiNui Quest starring Flare-chan and the rest of Shiranui kensetsu. The spritework there is immaculate and the chiptune OSTs are such bangers.
Awesome video about the Holoindie games. Hololive Talents and the fan community really do wonderful on feeding inro each other. From art, memes and clips, to the Talents themselves enjoying said created content. Thank you again.
I would LOVE to see a series of you just reviewing different hololive fan games! There are so many and I might have only played a few but the ones I’ve played I have adored and I’d love to learn about more! I really enjoyed watching this and I would love to see more like it!!!
A lil late to this but holocure is gonna have even more content added with 0.7 and ITS BIG theres gonna 9 new characters, more maps, more equipment, gambling, house materials, and probably even more
The most exciting thing for me now is Holo Jam. Game jam by holo fans for holo fans. Right now teases 5th HoloJam, and theme works around Kronii. I guess, theme of jam will be "time." Last time there was around 40 game projects (I really like 3D platformer about Gigi and Fauna god simulator).
Holocure save the fans is getting a new version fairly soon and its about to be a massive one including some of the most anticipated character additions like the (in)famous chairman Kiryuu Coco, even more side mode content, QOL upgrades ,etc. Also i think one thing(aside from being free) that should definitely be said to add to its popularity is the charismatic creator and his commitment to keeping it a free fan game and a "passion product" and just him being incredibly based and unfiltered for someone who is big name animator in the anime industry (if you watched shows in the last few years from Japan like mushoku tensei which lets face it the animation saves that piss poor adaptation or hell even some western ones like castlevania you have seen his work) openly willing to call out companies like niji for their treatments of talent, etc. The dude refused to even make a kofi account even tho people beg him to let them give him something in return. As a plus Kay yu even got to work on a holo projects like recently the MV for the theme song of "enigmatic recollection",
I’m only surprised we haven’t seen a jrpg/souls-like yet. Because I’m not gonna lie, I would play the hell out of a boss rush game based around Bad Ending Ina and her 12 Apostles.
HoloXBreak is probably to grind for unlocking the emotes because different artists were gathered to draw for the game .. That's what I believe cuz I have yet to play the game😅
Just got into Idol Showdown about last week, been a lot of fun. Shoutout to Pebble Jame on itchio by Gioba games, a Suika Game-styled game with multiple game modes with Koseki Bijou. Bless my princess, rock rock.
What I love about R-TRUS's inclusion in Idol Showdown is the way he's animated. It's like his mech jumped right out of Gundam Battle Assault and into that game which makes it super charming. Also you should cover some more smaller games like "Just Punch" by GunArcher, it's a simple 3d platforming game about Gigi Murin punching rocks to find keys or the Holoween Collection by Mon Amiral. Great video btw!
You can always reach out to people and forums, and see if you can get a team together. You don't need the game maker skills to organize and coordinate the workflow.
18:00 there aren't really that many nijisanji fan games afaik since i think their "use of IP" policies are more restrictive than holo's which even before creating holo indie didn't mind fan games. Additionally there were a few fan games scheduled to be made but after a certain... event... that didn't happen (notably there was a game about selen which apparently got splashed with a bucket of yellow paint afterwards). All that being said, it's technically less of a game by the fans and more of a game for the fans since selen and pomu were part of its creative process, but i've heard lots of good things about "detective rainpuff at tatsuki manor".
I know this video is about more than HoloCure, but my first time playing Roboco twin-stick on pad was a whole different game altogether and I never went back to WASD even after mouse aiming was introduced. I've recently picked the game up again in anticipation of the new characters dropping and I have to stop myself from picking Roboco. Hi-score games, am I right...
You wanna know what I'd love? A game based on the Yamato Phantasia manga. I know HoloEarth is kinda sorta gonna encompass _all_ of Hololive Alternative, but Yamato Phantasia just kinda _hits_ for me. Think about it. Gameplay that's maybe kinda similar to Fate/Samurai Remnant, with you playing as Fubuki, Mio, Ayame, and maybe some other characters, each of which has different fighting styles and such. General gameplay loop is kinda like the Yakuza games, where you have the mostly serious main story, as well as a bunch of goofy side activities and side story missions, along with a _somewhat_ open world to explore? ...look, I just love Yamato Phantasia, the lore there is incredible and I am extremely invested in everything going on there. It's currently on this story arc about a Miko doppelganger and it's honestly just amazing. The hype, the comedy, the action, everything is just so on-point with it.
Hi! I'm one of the Composers/QA Testers on Idol Showdown. Great video! I loved how excited you were to see the Holostars boys in action
I asked for more Holostars reps when the game first came out in my last video and I was so excited to see them here. You guys did a fantastic job!
Hope that arauran can make fight chara

Wait wu, can you give me link for fandom wiki for all the game you mention?
the OG! I really love Delivering Hope
Delivering Hope is one of the major reasons why I got into the rabbit hole. Thank you so much!
I hate Kay Yu easily the worst game dev ever. We been trying to give him money and he keeps refusing us.
10:00 and yet, he still gets bodied by Kaela with a simple question: "Update doko?" Along with "No pressure." Her grindset is too strong.
Kaela is the fear of every game dev ever made into a person. A pure unstoppable grind machine
My favourite part about the Council RPG, is that all the Promise girls played it, and several of them ended up making jokes and saying lines that their character in the game then said right after, really says a lot about how well the writer knows them haha xD
And getting emotional with you know who (some tears were shed)
Imagine if *FuwaMoco* were to be in that one Hololive fighting game…
They’d probably be the quote-unquote *Wolverine-Duo* and tear through the battlegrounds.

It's so polished
I've been recommended that a lot in the comments. For sure will check it out for a potential second video!

@@Meta_Breakmaybe the real friends is the friend that we got along the way.. wait! nvm
Don't worry. We all had that reaction at that point in CouncilRys RPG. Some very BEEG emotions.
Idol Showdown got a Canadian character before Street Fighter got a Canadian original playable character.
Also makes sense Kronii is the final boss, it’s the rule of Araki to make your endgame antagonist to have powers over time.
But the character I was referring to is Ina.

I heard people calling Vampire Survivor/Holocure type of game, Bullet Heaven

still waiting for the online co-op

Thank you for allowing me to use your videos. They were a huge help
Could have also covered Delivering Hope and HoloTyping. There's also a lesser known one called HOLOTALE the game made by Congeta
Delivering Hope is almost as addicting as Holocure IMO
Hololive really has a lot of talent, both in its talents and and its fans
Talent breeds talent(?
