  • After trying out many different home air purifiers on the market, we tested Molekule. It looked so radically different from the others.
    It was compact, simple, and modern.

    Keep in mind that I've only used it for a couple weeks, that being said, so far so good ruclips.net/user/postUgkxAU9pOCSV9Y5JprooHvfxTpOrt4hx8uRM . Using it at 8 ft. by 8ft. deer blind that is insulated. I have to keep the door cracked for it to get enough air to burn, but that is very likely the wood I've used. Much better quality than I expected for the price. Now if I can just take it easy in the beginning it won't be 90 degrees in my blind. All in all it seems like a keeper.

    The secret to 'cleaning' the air effectively in an enclosed space is to ensure the total volume of air circulates through the purifier during each complete cycle. You also need to rent or buy a digital particle counter. This will produce evidence that the purifier is working - or not! The manufacturer should always provide independent test results on a video. This is a very simple before and after test in a space that represents a typical bedroom or living room. Then you dose the room with a variety of household dust particles - including dust-mites if you can catch them! Take counter readings before switching on the machine, then take readings after say 30 minutes, 1 hour and 2 hours. Manufacturers won't publish this type of demonstration because they know the test will fail! Some conventional HEPA filters have a built-in particle counter but they are fairly basic and won't provide specific levels of each size of particle. Hope that helps.

    The cost is not the issue for me. I see too many unanswered questions here, especially the lack of information on CADR and how many square feet is truly recycled. Also, getting people to promote your product is easy. Give them free units. Show me some facts and unbiased, independent testing and results. Otherwise, this is just another over-hyped, falsely-marketed "fountain of youth".

    Thank you for the review.
    I find it concerning the company is unable to provide the CADR or Clean Air Delivery Rate numbers. This rating system has been around since the 1980's and is the industry standard. I have emailed and called Molekule and received, what I would consider, a run-around. While I recognize the machine does it in a 'new and unique way', as mentioned by their service associate, at the end of the day- dust is dust. If I have three different vendor/machines in a dusty room and would like to know the amount of clean air distributed or filtered by each, the CADR system is the industry standard for an established baseline. Two of the three companies we are reviewing readily provide that data. Molekule does not and has been quite ambiguous when asked. The service person was extremely polite but claims the air 'just gets clean' using a new way. I'm sorry, dust is dust and one should be able to measure the performance of the machine output. If the machine kills or eliminates everything, the CADR numbers would be fantastic yet the company will not release the data. What's the story? I'm more of a buyer beware if someone is trying to hide something.

    • @return2earthvideochannel
      @return2earthvideochannel 6 лет назад +10

      Hello, we have tried to understand the technology for possible use in our clinics - and yes, the Molekule is different to conventional air purifiers. We suspect that the total amount of contaminated air in an enclosed room is not being completely circulated through the device as with say a HEPA type filter. To discover if the Molekule is effective enough for your needs, you should obtain one on a sale or return basis, and hire or purchase a digital particle counter that can measure very small dust particles in the air (conduct a before and after test). Some air purifiers have a built-in particle counter, although they are fairly basic.

    A note based on commentary in the review: I don't believe the auto setting changes the speed of the fan due to air quality it senses since there's no evidence there is any air quality monitor in the device. Auto is always the same speed and doesn't even appear to change depending on what settings are chosen when setting up the device. The settings chosen (number of pets, age of home) don't even appear to affect the filter health in the app, and there doesn't appear to be a monitor for that either since you have to email the company when you reset your filters. This is my experience in having my Molekule for nearly a year and thought I'd share.

    I don't have an affiliate link to buy one. This is an honest review based on 8 months of usage. I changed the pre-filter once. It automatically came in the mail when mine was bad. The app lost connection to the device a few times and I had to restart it. This was about 2 months in between each. I assume it doesn't reconnect if my house loses internet. This can be controlled over the internet and locally. This is my 3rd device. This is hands down a more than noticeable difference by far than any other long term unit I have used. I notice with in a hour or so if someone shut it off. It has shut off on its own when the pre-filter was blocked. I'm sorry to hear my review is worthless and you don't think I give an honest review. At the bottom of our videos is a disclaimer clearly explaining our use of affiliate links. This is not something we hide. Companies DO NOT pay us to review their products. Ever. Virtually all review channels use affiliate links. If you are not going to read or watch a review that uses affiliate links you will have a hard time finding a review that doesn't. I did not tout many negatives about the Molekule because as far as my experience goes, there isn't much bad to say. A lot of people have called out the price on the comments here, and that is certainly a legitimate concern for some. But for me, the ease of use, setup, and technology justifies the price. We are still using ours and I bought a second unit for my kids bedroom. The product not only works, but unlike virtually every other air purifier on the market, it LOOKS great in the home.

The Bertazzoni was a huge piece of junk, it leaked gas, the oven only worked when it had a mind to and the controls were difficult to master. The Bertazzoni oven was rated the lowest by Consumers report. I owned the oven for all of 3 weeks till I called the local gas Co. to test the oven for leaks, at which point they red tagged the oven and ordered me to not use it. It took weeks and numerous threats to have the oven removed and our money refunded.

I'd suggest that everyone go research the newest data about all of these "smart devices" and any microwave emitting devices/towers. I believe the results will shock you and make everyone think twice about a bunch of different things. Take care and Godspeed yall.

Mold, yes, mildew, yes, etc. what about say, dogs or birds in the house and what size room will it effectively cover? I hope there are answers out there in the universe as I love my rescued boxer mix, but have developed serious breathing difficulties if she is too close for too long. And yes, I do try my best to keep her out of my face and limited hugs, but would rather have something to aid with this distance to her. Many thanks.

      Good question, I had the same one. Not everyone has a phone, or can afford it, or lives where a service signal is near. I do have an iphone, but I don't like the idea of needing my phone, to program another device. Most appliances no longer come with its own printed manual. I don't need to open my fridge to use my toaster, and I don't have to start my car to use the microwave.

    Thanks for the review. I was intrigued by the technology approach of the Molekule and saw conflicting reviews both on the web and the Molekule website. None of them helped me make a decision. I really wanted to try this air purifier out. You showed up after several searches and your review was really what I was looking for without having to go through buying and returning the unit. Clarification on the noise levels, ease of use, etc. was very helpful. An honest, professional review without all the bashing and technical jargon (Lots of places to find that stuff). Thanks Again, William

    • @ApplianceBuyersGuide
      @ApplianceBuyersGuide  6 лет назад +1

      My personal feeling is that it is not powerful enough to move that much air. I would venture to say you would need 2 of these Molekule's in a room that size to actually clean the air. Hope that helps Duncan!

    • @MolekuleAir
      @MolekuleAir 6 лет назад +4

      Hello Duncan, Molekule can effectively clean a 600-square-foot room with a standard ceiling height of 8.5 feet. In a large room of about 600 square feet, the device can provide a full replacement of the air in the room in under an hour. In a smaller room of about 150 square feet (such as a bedroom), Molekule can replace the air in under 12 minutes. The unit was designed to be portable and can easily be carried and placed anywhere in your home. You may decide to have just one unit and move it from the common area during the day to your bedroom at night, or some customers prefer having more than one unit in the home for convenience.

    This device produces ozone! Ozone is highly toxic to your lungs. The fresh smell people describe is actually the odor of ozone. Ozone is highly oxidative to organic tissues/ molecules. That is why ozone machines are used in hotels to get rid of odors. However you vent rooms after using it. This device needs to be tested for ozone loading in small spaces especially in humid climates. UV lamps/ light does work in purifying air - especially if used in combination with a reactive filter surface - however degradation of the light source is a factor and needs to be trackable and identified. A good start but to expensive for a lack of verifiable data on many fronts.
