Sleeping with Liver Disease...

- Ever since my diagnosis I've had a heck of a time falling asleep and even a harder time staying asleep. This is a normal thing but still incredibly frustrating. Remember naps are important!
I grew up in Mississippi. Many of good naps were had when it rained or just listening to the crickets chirp with the windows opened. Best of luck
I'm a chronic insomniac. Thanks Nick. 👍
Elevated daytime melatonin as a result of your cirrhosis throws off your circadian rhythm at night.
I try not to nap during the day now.when i do im up all night. ❤
Is normal my dad just wants sleep during the day. Since he doss not sleep during the night lots times
Do you think this could be due to the stress of living with this disease? Is your mind clear when you go to bed? Or, do you have a lot of mental stressors (like paying bills, costs of the medicine, worrying about the next surgical intervention, etc.)? Those things I sure did (and could barely sleep at all) when I was taking care of my elder, 90+ yoa Mom as she fought cancer.
I'm sure that has something to do with it, but I know that it also has to do with your liver enzymes being all messed up.
