    Smart to record the voice over it because you’re not out of breath and the workout can continue.

      Yes exactly! Doing it this way is more like how I teach. I don’t do the workouts with my clients, I stand by their side and verbally take them thru. Glad it works for you.

    I never seen movements done so fast.

    • @NellHoess
      @NellHoess  Год назад

      Hello Valerie. Yes, this Leg and Foot Work section in my Level 6 program is done fast. It’s called ‘VMO Series’ and we do 20 plies in each position at a fast speed to challenge core stability. By this level, we want to keep our muscles engaged AND work at at fast speed to challenge our connections. You can always slow the video down in ‘settings’ with the little turtle icon. I hope that helps.

    Loved it! Very hard for me to do the tricep extension even with a quarter.

    • @NellHoess
      @NellHoess  3 года назад +1

      Fabulous! Yes, tricep extension is very hard even on a light spring. I had a shoulder issue and couldn’t do that exercise loaded so I put the strap down, got a light hand weight, and did the exercise that way until my strength built up. Maybe try that. Let me know how you go.

    Hi @NellHoess please let us know what kind of Reformer you are using? Please recommend a Reformer for those of us living in a flat - I need a Reformer that can be vertically placed against a wall. Thank you- you have made me a Pilates fan for life!!

    • @scoobstyr
      @scoobstyr 3 года назад +2

      Hello @NY Traveler - I just read your question and I would highly recommend the Balanced Body Allegro reformer!!!!!!!!!! It can be stored vertically, you could add a tower and they are probably the most sold reformer. I do not work or have any affiliation to Balanced Body, just trying to help you out. They are a highly respected company, their products hold their value and the Allegro is a wonderful! Good luck. Pilates.com

      @@scoobstyr thank you so much! Yes, Balanced Body is a top contender. I love the Allegro 2 but it’s very bulky. I have not looked into Allegro yet as was not sure about the sturdiness but with your advice, will look into it for sure.
      I also like the Peak Pilates Fit Reformer - good price point, can be vertically stacked. Any views on this?
      Thank you so much for your advice! Helpful to hear from a user.

      @@LymphomaWarrior1 You are more than welcome. I know how hard it is making a decision. I have and love my 24 year old BB studio reformer but I want a tower with mat conversion which it can’t do. So I too have been doing research. I think I will most likely get the Allegro 2 because of the foot bar. But when you said you needed a reformer that can be stored vertically I immediately thought of the Allegro. The Allegro with legs is 124 lbs and the Allegro 2 with legs is 146 lbs. As for sturdiness, I think the Allegro is very sturdy. I heard that they are the most sold and used in studios around the world. I don’t know too much about Peak reformers and their specs except I used to train on one years back, it was very similar to my studio reformer except for the risers. BB’s website has a lot YT videos.

    • @LymphomaWarrior1
      @LymphomaWarrior1 3 года назад

      @@scoobstyr yes, the foot bar of Allegro 2 is really amazing and allows for many more arm exercises. And it looks super comfortable. In my research I found that allegro 2 is for people 5’9 or below. My husband is 6’0 so without going to a studio to check, I am hesitant. Do you know about this height issue?

    • @scoobstyr
      @scoobstyr 3 года назад +1

      @@LymphomaWarrior1 No, I don’t have any height issues but again the regular Allegro, not the Allegro 2, has a stretch option for tall user.

    Nell, I struggle with spine work due to OA, I can’t lift my spine off the carriage, any modifications or strengthening exercises you recommend?

    • @NellHoess
      @NellHoess  3 года назад

      Hello and thanks for your comment. Any exercise you can’t do in level 6 has a modified version in the level below so for you level 5. Do the modified version from the lower levels in replacement for any exercise you can not do, then resume with the workout. I hope that helps. Let me know how you go.

      Thank you for your comment. I'm happy to hear you felt it was good. You can slow the videos down by playing it at a slower speed. Also, sometimes when I'm following a video that is too fast for me, I pause the video and complete the exercise then play for the next section.🙏🏼💪🏼🤸🏼‍♀️
