I really like your approach and playing mentality. Simplicity, but when song needs some so called "action", you spice it with some tasty little fill. And that's what drummer is supposed to do. Awesome!

You did a great job there. That prooves that you're not just a drummer, you are a musician! There are a lot of drummers on yt (translation: ego maniacs which destroy the magic of music with their brutal chops) , but you can rarely find a musician with a great technique who knows how to really play a song and keep the magic of song alive... :) You know, at the end of the day, I'm just a Porcaro fan ;)

Hi Randall! To answer your questions: 1) I can't get the drums out of these songs, I'm just playing over the original song trying to disappear the drums. Sometimes there might be songs from Guitar Hero or Rock Band games where you can get a track without the drums but this is just the regular track. 2) You can check out this page for what songs you can cover without getting blocked or copyright stipulations: ruclips.net/user/audiolibraryad_supported_music . It seems that most of my covers are not viewable in Germany but can be viewed in most countries. I hope this helps :)
K...$$ as usual!!! best in the biz at covers...honor and respect to the original tracks the older i get the more i am interested in groove drumming or orchestration of parts. how does one really teach feel? it is both the elephant in the room and fox that often gets ignored as, "Well, duh?"...but not so fast! The essence of this song is not complicated, but there lies the rub! the hat feel could have been played 5 different ways in the similar style and each would make the song "feel" different...all work, but now the art aspect comes in...why choose that one take as a stamp forever? why the lower tom fill during the verses? put it all together and the less is best as a musical expression becomes magic.
JulianFernandez Yes it's much better for drums than 30fps. The main camera was GoPro HERO4 Silver with Full HD 60fps and the kick cam was Zoom Q3HD 720/60fps.

You're Great drummer!!! I would like to listen your cover of Orphan. From my point of is better the KC version, than the Shannon Forrest version. Both are world class drummers but for me KC will be the best drummer in the world and was a pity that he left TOTO after record XIV. I would've listened Orphan with him on the drums.

Keith has so personal style that it's impossible to copy and I knew it before I even tried to play :) I have seen Keith few times and even arranged his drum clinic back in 2007 so I'm very familiar with his playing with Blues Brothers Band, Wayne Krantz, Oz Noy, Mike Stern, Sting, Steely Dan, James Taylor, John Mayer and now Toto. What a dream list for a drummer!!

New World Dictionary has a new entry: Kai means chameleon; the ability to be any drummer at will! You have ridiculous ears bro. This is a skill way overlooked. You hear the nuances most blow off and the discipline to pull it off consistently. Cannot overstate the discipline it takes to cover studio cuts like this which is why it is often done so poorly. RUclips is testimony to this!
