I am thinking about a 2 speed box, but I don't know if i will need other upgrades to get this to work ie head unit, receiver ect and if so what would you recommend for budget/hobby grade? you would need to upgrade the electronics to use thebl 2 speed remotely. Also I am not sure the stock mn model electronics can handle the bigger motor on the 2 speed. The lights as well will need to be modded or replaced of you still want the light functions. If you want to run it stock it isn't that bad. just get some metal cvd style driveshafts for it and it should be ok for a while.
@@RunThatRC You may of done it already, but a total newbies video would be good. It hard to get up to speed with the tech language. Very basic talk about which components do what...
Fayee 6 spoke rims+tires are barely shorter and 7/16" wider track. wrap the front pair one if not 2 layers 2 mm solder wire (8 or 16 turns between the tire beads.. I went 2 layers). this lowers the CG, gives wider footing, keeps front down maintaining pulling and steering when climbing steep. the stock tires are a round profile, the Fayee are a square profile AND greater final width, does wonders.
I just use wheel weights. also adding metal axles and a metal upgrade kit for the gears and driveshafts will add weight down low to help with rollover.
@Run That RC David yup, mine has evolved like that, metal gears, axle casings, and drive shafts, A285004 oil shocks, on top of the wider+weighted (front weight only) Fayee 6 spoke rims+tires. bone stock the original kit would side tip or back flip when climbing, pretty easily, now its got "magna-traction" compared to stock.
