I have just received my MN99S. Paid AUD$100 delivered . I also have a WPLC24-1 coming. The MN is my first 1/12 “crawler” and I think it is FANTASTIC - even in stock . I have removed the roof and put some stiffer springs in it which I had from another 1/12 car and it now rides beautiful. I have ordered 370 motors for both cars which I will fit later. I am not going to go crazy on modding it beyond that as I do not see the need. One thing to note is possibly they have upgraded the wheels and tyres for 2023 because there is 0 need to super glue. Tyres fit tight .I have a very expensive Team Losi 1/10 Rock Crawler worth about $1500 ( modded heavily) but with that I have to leave the house and go seeking challenging terrain. The awesome thing about these little 1/12 cheapo trucks is I can faff around in my house or in the garden with a few beers and they are just so much fun . I find myself reaching for the MN more than anything at the moment. I can totally see how dudes get hung up on this class of RC. They are fu, cheap, easy to mod and work on for beginners. I cannot recommend this MN99S highly enough.
I just got one of these and it has the tinted rear red and yellow lenses that you put on yourself but I haven't put them on yet. My upper rear tail lights are clear LEDs without the lenses but the lower inside lights are red but should be clear to be reverse lights. Are your reverse lights red like mine? 🤔
I'm going to buy this as a gift, because of christmas, there are discounts..so I thought to buy this..but I will be giving this in 2021 june..I won't use this..so can I know how can I keep the batteries undamaged till june??
Hi jayani if your storing it for 12 months there shouldn’t be a problem with the battery. Just make sure you store it in a good dry place not too cold area. These kits are made in mass production and some of the kits have been packaged well over 9 months ago with no issue. I’m pretty sure you should be fine with storing for 12 months .
I'm looking at the RTR MN99S. I think it has a 260 motor. Most are saying metal driveshafts are a must. I'm wondering if plastic driveshafts will hold for trailing? How have you been using yours?
Hi Dom, yes the MN99s has 260 motor fully proportional steering and metal spur gears I. Differential. Plastic spurs will be ok for trailing etc , make sure you grease them up. Really as a RTR kit the MN99s is the best straight out of the box will motor , steering and metal components in diffs .
I just snapped my plastic driveshaft on my mn 99 after about 3 months of owning it (which is not bad considering what i put it through) I managed to fix the driveshaft with half a paperclip at the link where it snapped and all 4 wheels are running fine now.
@@fulgently ok if that’s what the seller advised then all good. Me personally I’d use the supplied balance charger as it’s a regulated charge for the lipo. But see how you go. All the best and enjoy
@@fulgently hi buddy my apologies I’ve had a total brain fade. Yes you can use the phone charger just plug the USB cable from charger into phone charger and you good to go. All the best I was actually thinking of another crawler
Been eyeing this lately. Nice review. Keep up the great work brother.
Thanks legend

Able to use mobile charger to charge the battery 7.4v?
Hi mate no actually you can’t use mobile charger to charge battery as it’s amps are different. You might actually cause the battery to catch fire
@@ozhobbyrc3541 the seller advised to use mobile phone charger thats lower than 12v

My Mn 99S I found lacks torque compared to my mn d90 however the 99s has a much faster top speed.
top speed is not relevant in crawling isn't it?
@@k1ortia no but torque is.
