That Teams to Viva strategy that Matt hypothesised, made my brain want to cave in on itself. The pain of having to explain that the 'team in Teams' is now the 'Viva Together Viva app', to my user base is enough to make me want to cry.

Thanks for a great show. Good coverage and some LOL (in a good way!) moment. FWIW I am HAPPY to bet against your bet about renaming Teams 😀

I do agree that the feature announcements at Inspire were not very 'partner centric'. I was expecting things like, "Partner Centre can do x!" or similar. And there was no mention of easing the issues of their NCE. I do wish they'd improve the performance of Partner Centre, so slooow. That said, there was stuff for partners, the connections/networking features, breakouts etc. I would have preferred only partner-centric announcements, and if there were none, then there are none. I just don't get Viva. I've tried to understand it, just feels like a puddle full of apps created by their junior employees to raise their 'added value' profiles.

I love your crystal ball gazing section at the end of this video. As long time IT admin, it is always fun trying to second guess big tech and there platforms, which one is going to gain the most traction and which ones will hit the buffers as not enough organisations use them. It isn't just MS that either rebrands products or stop support and development. I can think of 1 major MS product line that I used, supported and promoted to others that MS pulled the plug on. That was the Small Business Server products, ok it was jus a add on to Windows Server, but I actually thought the SBS Server 2003 implementation was quite good. I maybe alone in thinking this. Does anyone else here have a MS or Non MS IT solution they wish was still supported

On the pay walling, do you folks think MS might be doing that to force only dedicatd clients to use it and provide feedback that would be valuable to a broader audience?
Instead of pursuing features that everyone is asking for, go after features people would pay for.

If Microsoft hasn't done the obvious fix to the "Teams Team" problem by calling them Workspaces, then I think that Viva would actually be an improvement. Viva meeting, Viva chat, Viva Teams, Viva Engage. Yep.

    Community and connections...
We need to send them thesaurusess*, the whole lot of those product managers and marketers 😝

Matt's comments about customers being concerned with Yammer being a paid feature is quite cogent. I was surprised by how many people who I normally would have considered sharp had not figured out what Viva Engage is. The Message Center Post related to this feature was quite a bit more pointed and I hope clearer: "Viva Engage replacing the Yammer Communities app for Teams".
