I like to design sundials and 3D print them. I often use Shadows first for the basic layout. Is there any way to import a 3D model into Shadows Pro to use the 3D view for checking the shadows and design?

The 3D display is for sundials made within Shadows. You can export them to OBJ format to further process them in another software, but you cannot import 3D models from outside.

Excellent work! I'll try this later. No experience with sundials other than finding it fascinating. I live at 58 degree lat, and only have southwest facing windows. I was thinking putting up a vertical sundial in one window. Or a small horizontal one on the window sill. What kind of sundial would you recommend?

Thanks. A vertical declining sundial will be perfect, with its interesting line network. You can easily simulate it in Shadows (even the free version).
