1:10 i had no idea how to install the plates for my GoRuck. Thanks bro
Not many vids out on this goruck weight vest for some reason. One thing to consider is his comments about running. I’ve put about 50 running miles on mine so far and just keep in mind that having even 20lbs loaded completely changes your gait, stride, and how you land with each step. The vest will absolutely bounce a little no matter how you adjust it. You don’t want to go too tight because it will restrict breathing and induce reflux.. but that will be the case with any vest. Just my two thoughts on running with a vest.
Thank you, you’ve helped make my decision
Hey man thanks for the video about the back muscles a few back really helped, also figured my couch was majorly sagging. Since then I done the exercises you said to do. Done my first ruck yesterday for the 1st time in a month. It was a short one but felt good to be training again. Happy Xmas from the UK
Man, thank you for this comment. Really glad to hear you’re feeling better and getting back in the training groove. Merry Christmas my guy!
Thanks for the video, I liked the comparison between the vest and carrier because I was considering one of the two.
No problem, thanks for watching!
Do you have the recent rogue plate carrier which take those contoured plates? Any comparison with that one? Also how about burpees and running? Does it bounce/slide?
Lol…says the guy with a garage and head full of goruck swag
Great video! Thank you, I just added you to my RUclips feed. I do have a question though. I am a 67 year old guy who works out daily in my home gym and see a weight trainer once a week. I also hike nearly every day (at least 5 miles every day). I've been throwing 30 lbs. in my old backpack to "test" hiking with the extra weight. I think I do! Now, I'm still confused on what I should buy. I'm going to support GoRuck so, let's stay with them. I'm thinking, after watching this video, I should buy the Weight Training Vest. I own zero plates, so I'll need to get some. Any suggestions? You mentioned the curved ones, which should I look into? Finally, If I wanted to hike 5 miles with some incline, and feel comfortable with adding 30 lbs., would it be wise to buy a 20 lb for the back and 10 in the front?
I am trying to decide between the two. Any additional detail would be appreciated. Main use for me is walking and light use in the gym when lifting.
👍
Hey man @Levi.Jaeckel just curious regarding the GORuck weighted vest. Does it have pockets in the front and back? So I could add 10lbs front and back to make it a total of 20lbs?
Have you compared it to the rogue weight vest?
With vest- if I want to just use one 10lb plate, should I load in front or back?
The shoulder strap on my Rucker snapped, looking into getting it repaired through SCARS. For someone who predominantly rucks and does Tribe WODs, what equipment is different than the Rucker and is the most versatile? I'm looking to add a piece of equipment that will be used as a substitute while the Rucker is being repaired but will also become an addition after being received back.
Wow, that’s a wild about the shoulder strap. I haven’t personally used SCARS but I’ve heard great things.
Honestly, I really love their Training Vest. I’m using it all the time. It would be an adequate Plan B rucking tool but it’s incredible for so many other training scenarios. The curved Rogue plates make a huge difference, too.
@@Levi.Jaeckel Thank you! I ordered the weighted vest.
awesome! Enjoy it!
First time with my vest. 10 lbs felt like carrying an atlas stone.
Will the training weight vest hold a long plate?
No it’s not big enough to hold a long skinny ruck plates. It will definitely hold standard sized iron 10s and maybe a standard size 25lb plate?
