About 8 years ago, I cross-stitched on 14 count plastic canvas about 40 animals for my grandson.. He just turned 10, so I think it had to be around 2016-2017. This was before I ever found flosstube. I just went thru all my various charts looking for animals. My husband also made him a blackboard/magnetic board for them to hang on the wall. It was a great way for him to learn his animals. Also back in the day, my daughters made a magnetic word game like "Who's line is it anyway" and they stored the magnetic word tiles on a old cookie sheet. Love your channel and your various crafts. The quilt project is so inspiring, looks like fun for the various combinations.
Always a treat when there is a notification of a new episode. Carolyn the sweater is lovely. Little Santa looks great in the boo boo frame. Love your PS magnets as well. Anna your sampler is top of the class. Breathtakingly perfection. Thanks for the entertainment. ♥️
You did exactly for me what you described. I just sat down for a bit of stitching and so enjoyed your chatting about family, your projects, options and of course seeing your beautiful projects. Those quilt fabrics…wow! Love the variety and the joy you both share. It does feel like you are friends. I hope I can share a cup of coffee with you someday❣️
Highly entertained and inspired by this episode! Love the MCS idea 😂 also loved when Anna jumped into her teacher voice to say “BIG pumpkin”.. sounded like me when talking to my toddler.
So many lovely pieces today I can’t pick out one or two to compliment….they are all amazing. I never get sick of filling in either…some days it is the perfect thing for my mind and stress level. I like the sweater cropped on you. 🦉🦇👻
Always look forward to seeing you. Beautiful stitching. You work full time and still get so much done. Thanks for sharing about your family wedding. I enjoy feeling like I am sitting in your space stitching while you share.
Loved hearing about the wedding and your family gathering. You did not talk too much, your enthusiasm is so energizing and fun. Your finishes were beautiful but Anna, your sampler looks amazing! It could so pass for an authentic antique sampler, don’t know how you did that. I so enjoy how you both taste and savor each of your projects. 🐦⬛👏Diana
I stitched all of the pieces from the Boo to You and the Heads Up books. I finally FFOd them into ornaments this year and have a Halloween tree. It gives me such joy when I turn on the orange lights each night. I have also stitched all of the pieces from the Nordic Christmas book, but have not yet fully finished any of them. The pictures from the wedding were beautiful!
You should put that Brenda Gervais Santa in that frame....it looks adorable. And I agree with Anna....black frames can make something without black in it pop while framing something with black in it makes the black pop. I stitch the Kathy Barrick piece; I did it on 32 count. I changed the color of the coat to red. It hangs in my dining room all the time so I get to see it every day. It was a fun stitch and I love it He hangs with my Kathy Barrick "Esther" which I also never put away. I love to look at them...and take my MCS when I walk through the room. Carolyn, you make me look like a slacker...I only have one of the Saltbox pieces done. Anna, purchase your rick rack at a craft store like Joann's, Michael's, Hobby Lobby. It is so much less expensive than buying it on Etsy, unless you are getting over dyed.
Yes, use that frame for the small Santa! Cute WIPs. Agree, Katie Strachan videos are fun. Hmm, that from photo it looks more like Gentle Arts ""coral reef" or "apricot blush". Even a light blue fabric would probably show the pumpkin better.
I cannot remember whom but someone shared the tip with me of double crossing the top leg of stitches to make the color more pronounced. I have used this tip many times and it really works!
Anna, I also like a white pumpkin. I just finished framing Lumina Pumpkin by Three Sheep Studio. Mine is also stitched on a medium blue aida which makes the pumpkin pop. Just wanted to share that.
I am not one to discourage any one from starting new things, Anna, but I have Thomas, have stitched it and it is one of my very favorite pieces, but he is a lot of stitching.
As always, great to see what you've been working on, and the skill Caroline exhibited to fix her 'waxed' sweater. 😀 Now then, Anna...re: those quilt blocks. I've been a quilter for 30 years and an art quilter for almost 20...and I agree with Caroline. I think that first (larger) block has more movement because of both the colours selected and the placement thereof. The second block, with its concentration of red at the centre-right seems to be a bit out of balance. A little of that bright yellow-green goes a long way in that first block, and you used it so well there. A little red can also go along way...and I think it's not quite as effective in that second block. Just a thought. 🙂 It's why these are both colour studies and form (shape) studies, right? Glad you're having fun with them!

Beautiful wedding ❤
Great video ladies!! Carolyn I was hoping you would share your thread conversion for Turkey Trot.
All such beautiful finishes, knitting and quilting too. Thank you for sharing another great video. Happy Halloween and Happy Stitching!

Fab video. Great content.
You can use Good Notes on your iPad. Take a picture of the chart and you can enlarge to any size! I love it!

I frame all my pieces with black frames. I think black is timeless
The second autumn saltbox is a bourbon distillery rickhouse. That is what I call mine.

I love your sweater Carolyn. What if you made another that was longer that way you could enjoy it both ways? It’s such a pretty color and design💚
I am not one to discourage any one from starting new things, Anna, but I have Thomas, have stitched it and it is one of my very favorite pieces, but he is a lot of stitching.
I love watching your videos. Your take on color is so inspiring. I love all your wips. Why are crows used so much in cross stitch?

Hi ladies, I brought a wide format printer from Amazon and it copies on 11 x 17 paper. Get good blowups.😊
