I was so shocked at how disturbingly accurate they portrayed the Romanovs deaths. What’s really tragic was that the Tsar and Tsarina died instantly while it took 20 minutes for their kids to die because the duchesses had a million dollars worth of jewelry sewn into their clothing, which acted as bullet proof vests. They had planned to smuggle those jewels out of the country in case they were to somehow escape. It also didn’t help that Alexei was a 14 year old hemophiliac, which meant that he had an excruciatingly slow and painful death.

I liked that they showed King George's pet parrot, he did have one and it would be on his shoulder often. And its pretty darn funny to see philip going on about the Romanov's being his relatives...they were Elizabeth's too lol

'the lady?' That's Queen Mary! you can tell by the big hair (The Crown must win. Must always win)...Philip moved to Sandringham when he retired and stayed there until covid came along. then he and Elizabeth moved to Windsor. dunno what to make of that...

I’m surprised they didn’t cast Claire Foy to play young Queen Mary, considering how much she and her granddaughter looked alike.
