Dude...u make animation seem SOOO less intimidating. I'm just starting to learn AE and graphs are HELLA scary to me but this technique is GENIUS. Best teacher ever. Seriously, thank u.
Thanks Nick, that was very helpful. I've always struggled with smooth animation, to the point where I use to get frustrated, I've wasted hours on perfecting motion, this should make things easier.
Another lifehack: when you animate rotation and position, animate the rotation first by using the (much clearer) value graph for the eases. Then copy paste the eases with easy copy and apply it to your (unseparated) position keyframes ✨
"the snowboarder is a profesional, they can handle this" hahaha funny, great techinque, I`ve always seen these graphs intimidating, but this is great way to smooth everything out! awesome, much appreciated.
I have a doubt @3:25 timing in linear graph i have the point but i cannot have it like pen tool it is just point like in after effects can anyone help please .. like that pulley thing i only get the point yellow not pulley thing yellow
Hey Nick, love your videos. I am starting to learn After Effects and kinda wonder what the future might hold for me say 4-6 months when I am getting a bit more advanced with the software. Is it still worth learning or is going head first into Cinema4D a better option job wise?
i am biased, but i think you will get more value learning adobe products because they are the industry standard. C4D is great for anything 3D if that’s the direction you want to go, but knowing the adobe suite will make you more rounded
Sure, the graph editor is great and well explained, that being how it is, why do I feel like you are trying to get me in some kind into some kind of pyramid scheme!
what do you think of the snowboard technique? 🏂
for me its kind of hard value graph hahaha appreciate it
Amazing tecnique, 100 % explained
Good
"Nobody knows what the graphs mean“...that is priceless!
if anyone says they know - they are lying
@@motionbynick I heard a rumor there is an ancient manuscript that explains it clearly. But it's kept secret by druids.
That's so true. It might be the only tool I know that's based on feel rather than knowledge
It's pure math, so nobody knows exactly what does it mean.
if you know physics , you would know what it means

it’s not a scam as long as you get 2 of your friends to watch this video, and they get 2 of their friends to watch it.
